SUMMER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,247 AT THE AICP-END

410 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Wise Democratic candidates seeking the nomination should back out and go back to their day jobs because their far-left nominee is going to suffer destruction the likes of which, we haven’t seen since 1984
Pasadena, CA 91101, 09-21-2019 Saturday:  I find myself laughing a great deal lately as every time I turn on the television and watch the news, I hear one liberal pundit or one Democratic strategist going on and on about how President Trump is ‘in danger,’ that the places that he flipped from Blue to Red in 2016 are abandoning him, and that coming to the Left Coast and holding fund-raising events is something he should avoid doing because it’s not going to help him because the western states have long been lost to the GOP.  Truly?
I live in L.A., my friends, am in touch with local folks every single day due to me being a restauranteur of note, someone who feeds the ‘beautiful people’ (like Deborah Messing) on a daily basis, someone who is in touch with the workingmen-and-women of the area, whether they be ‘white collar’ workers like chefs, meat-cutters, bakers, line cooks, mixologists, food-servers, as well as the salespeople, or the blue collar teamsters who deliver our food and restaurant supplies via the loading dock.
Whether the Left wants to believe it or not, there is growing anger out there and it does not reside on the side of impeaching Donald Trump, impeaching Brett Kavanaugh, and forcing the American people to see the economic gains for which, we have longed for vanish, all because of their promised war on fossil fuels and the forced imposition of their bulls**t Green New Deal.
Being a former Democrat, I know the prattle, I know the photo ops such as the House Judiciary Committee attempting to beat up on former Trump campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, just as I know the propaganda being blasted out of various news programs on the Big Three networks as well as their cable news allies.
Witness, none of what I hear among the Democrats is entirely confident in ultimate victory on their part but they sure as heck act as though they stand on the cusp of winning one of the all-time great blow-out elections.
Ah, if they only knew what I know for a fact.  I would advise the various somewhat moderate Democratic candidates chasing the 2020 nomination and perhaps the White House, that if you are wise and observant of the REAL mood around the country- especially in places that you believe you have in your lockbox like the Southland, you would exit the race NOW.
The reason I suggest this is that whoever wins the nomination and forges ahead, whether it be Joe, Liz, Bernie, Kamala, or Mayor Pete, that person is going to be the victim of one of American political history’s all-time great presidential election blow-outs- BLOW-OUTS.
Things are beginning to add up for President Trump: the economy is booming and unemployment is at near-record lows.  More black, brown, yellow, and white Americans are working than ever before (or at least, in the last 50 years) and wages are going up substantially.  I know we have been seeking qualified help and with so many openings available, we have had to raise wages to all-time elevated levels due to competition.
Many of my employees, especially younger ones and entry-level newbies are buying cars and some are buying their first homes.  The fact that throughout the eight years of President Barack Obama very few felt secure enough in their jobs to invest in starter homes or to buy the car they always longed for but never felt they had the money to buy whereas now they do, tells one something, especially astute political observers like me who goes about with both ears pressed to the ground simultaneously, LOL.
Most everyone is aware WHO bears responsibility for the flashbang economy.  It sure as heck is NOT “Obama’s economy;”  no, HIS was the new norm, one in which wise Democrats like he and his czars would manage the decline, doing their best to make it as painless as possible while punishing the ‘evil rich people’ who always seem to be donating to the…wait, you guessed it…the Democratic Party.
For those who are young and still learning their way in the world of politics, we educate them.  Yes, you might not like Trump’s mannerisms or his tweets, you might find his demeanor to be gruff, crude, rude, even abusive.  However, setting that aside, the man has done more to boost our economy than any of the last four presidents combined even with the phony Russian collusion investigation stymieing him every frigging day.
Back to the crumbling hopes of the Democratic candidates, the wise among them would slowly back away.  People who are qualified and who could do a good job such as Governor Steve Bullock, businessman and former congressman John Delaney, Senator Michael Bennett, and one or two others might do themselves a big favor by stepping out now, thus allowing the crazy, far left liberals to continue ramping up the Loony Tunes which is going to be their destruction.
Then, in 2024, the smart ones can come back and say, “See, we told you so.  Now, let’s get down to business and get a smart Democrat moderate in the White House, like the old days when we were successful.”
Can they do it?  You tell me.  Whoever carries the standard forward- whether he or she believes they have popular support is in for the biggest surprise since Walter Mondale lost in a massive landslide victory back in 1984.
What does that tell you?  Join me tomorrow and we will wrap things up.  I have something to say about the Green New Deal and electric cars.  Vielen Dank für heute hier zu sein; wir werden morgen holen zurück. Bis dann.
