SUMMER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,229 AT THE AICP-END

428 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

When nothing else makes sense, look at it with fresh eyes and you will see the truth…
Los Angeles, CA 90064, 09-03-2019 Tuesday: I find it highly entertaining that Barack and Michelle Obama purchased an expensive new home on the coast at or around Martha’s Vineyard, especially at a time when everyone is prophesying the end of the planet due to global warming-climate change-extreme weather.  So interesting don’t you think that for someone who promised a reduction of the sea levels, this man is now going to live smack dab along the coastline.  Would he not fear that rising sea levels are going to inundate his nice new home?  You would think.
The same is true here in California.  We live in a psychotic state, one in the hands of liberals for about twenty years, if not longer.  Instead of sending fresh water flowing down our intrastate canals to the San Joaquin Valley, to Coachella Valley, and to other places such as the Salinas Valley for the purpose of growing crops, Sacramento would rather have that fresh water flowing out to sea
Alas, color me confused.  If the ‘sea levels are rising,’ why don’t we dam and protect that fresh water because human beings, agriculture, and the flora and fauna require that water just as we need hydroelectric power what with the shutdown of our last remaining nuclear power plant, Diablo Canyon, in or sooner than 2024.
In essence, the environmentalists want to see our state return to what it once was, back before the movement westward nearly wiped the Native Americans living throughout the state out
It is not altruism and to see a return of the Native Americans but to return the state to what they believed it to have been, an Eden on Earth, but they can only accomplish this lunacy by driving out the regular folks which will return the non-coastal areas to what they historically were before the arrival of the Spanish while retaining their coastal enclaves.
This is WHY the Democrats in Sacramento wage war on agriculture and on the fossil fuel industries, both of which contribute billions of dollars of annual wealth into the state’s coffers.  They love the revenues with which, the wealthy liberals maintain their upper crust standard of living while the rest of us languish beneath a high tax burden, excessive numbers of illegal aliens, rising crime rates, and now, the specter of disease outbreaks that could devastate more than just our state if it manages to spread.
I live in Los Angeles and I am becoming afraid of my city.  As a restaurant owner and operator, I am on the freeways late at night and early in the morning, going to and from my business.  Beneath every freeway overpass, in an ever-expanding skid row/downtown, in every vacant lot, the homeless abound, feces fills the streets, litters the doorways, the alleyways, and beyond.
To drive through these areas on route to others to conduct business, one passes through areas full of urine and feces, discarded needles, through cockroaches, rats, lice, fleas, and ticks and the germs and parasites feeding on them which then attach themselves to bumpers, tires, wheel wells, and travel far beyond their point of origination which is why people in L.A.’s City Hall have contracted typhus.  TYPHUS.
Mayor Eric Garcetti, (someone whom we are working at recalling) does his best to maintain a tight lid on the news coming out but one cannot contain news such as this any better than they can contain the germs festering all around them.
People are fearful of not only the homeless and the crime surrounding them but also the disease.  No one wants to have their car breakdown in certain areas at night as the dangers surrounding them continue increasing and it is not just the human aspects but the vectors and the germs, too.
Twenty years ago, I do not believe anyone could ever have predicted this.  Yet, in the 21st century, we are reverting to a time that modern medicine and hygiene conquered which is what made the United States and the West the place to be.  It makes no sense to anyone as to WHY we would reverse hygiene and modern health standards other than to cause an epidemic or two the size of the 1919 Spanish influenza pandemic that swept the world and eradicated vast numbers of human beings.
I fear we live in a time when loopy politicians such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Tom Steyer and virtually all of the rest of the Democrats running for the 2020 presidential nomination of their party promote: the planet has but twelve years (or LESS!) before it is unrecoverable.
Therefore, the best way to bring about this drastic change is to eradicate one-third or more of the planet’s population.  If a pandemic grows in Los Angeles and in San Francisco and in other parts of the state what with germs feasting on the multitudes of illegal aliens here, it could sweep across the state, the country, and the world, diseases the likes of which we simply no longer see in First World countries but which would devastate us.
If a pandemic or two (or more) did sweep the world, we could get rid of vast swaths of the planet’s population so perhaps the global elites of the left see illegal aliens as the fuel with which, to deplete the planet’s population and restore ‘good times’ for those left.
Cynical?  You bet.  But…it could very well be true as WHY would any sound government want filth and disease and overcrowding and other societal negatives to flourish the way our current crop of Democratic leaders do?  It makes NO sense.

Like the rest of my colleagues here at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, I turned my likeness over to up-and-coming Bakersfield, California, street artist, Simone and this among other images is what I got.  Kudos, Simone, Kudos for making me look, uh, so dignified.  Ah well,  I spent most of my life working in food service in a variety of states and places.  Among my stops was one in Washington State where I met Stinkbug in the WSCA.  We have been friends ever since and have been working long and hard to create an enjoyable reading experience for our fans, provided Google Blogger will allow the public to see us.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

Mike + the Mechanics released their next album, a ‘best of’ compilation, “Out of the Blue” on April 05, 2019.  It is hard to imagine that the band has cranked out as many hits as it has yet, indeed it has.  All the big tunes on this collection plus three new cuts so if you have not yet availed yourself of the music, this is a splendid way in which to do it so please, seek it out by visiting whatever site it is you do for nothing but the absolute best in rock music; you will be glad you did.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted @ the Tuesday, December 11, 2012 Blog Post:

BLUE CHEER released their next album, the powerhouse “What Doesn’t Kill You” on August 21, 2007 and found the band returning to raw, overwhelming power when necessary, the kind that blows both minds and ear drums.  The band now featured Dickie Peterson (bass/vocals), Paul Whaley and Joe Hasselvander (drums), and Duck MacDonald (guitars).  As always, most of the tunes are originals as well as a cover of Booker T. Jones’ “Born Under a Bad Sign.”  We hope you will seek this album out and consider adding it to your collection of amazing rock and roll.

Posted @ the Tuesday, August 19, 2014 Blog Post B:

Bad Company released their next album, “Here Comes Trouble,” which came out on September 22, 1992 and saw the band’s sales beginning to cool off.  The lineup featured Simon Kirke (drums/percussion/vocals), Brian Howe (vocals/saxophones),   Mick Ralphs and Terry Thomas (guitars/backing vocals/keyboards) and Felix Krish (bass).  The album featured the title track and “How About That,” the second of which received considerable airplay for six weeks.  We hope you will seek this album out and consider adding it to your ever-growing collection as it is worthy of ownership by you and a big snapshot of early 1990s rock music scene and a gem from a band that had no desire to die as did many of their contemporaries from the 1960s and 1970s.  We thank you.
