SUMMER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,241 AT THE AICP-END

416 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

People ask me HOW I can continue supporting President Trump; well, let me tell you why…
Shafter, CA 93263, 09-15-2019 Sunday:  Queridos amigos, hoy es el último día del año para mí.  This is it, unless something occurs that brings me back, I won’t be back until next spring when we are smack in the middle of the 2020 Elections.  I think as things now stand, President Donald J. Trump is going to easily win re-election which I know drives some of my hardcore leftist compañeros absolutely nuts.  They say, “El Chilote, how can you back this guy, this man that says horrible things about Latino people?  How can you support someone who is so uncouth, so foul, so immoral as president?”
You know, President Trump comes from New York, is a billionaire, he has been in show business and has spent his life in construction, in real estate.  It’s a dog eat dog world out there.  However, he bested about 16 other GOP candidates who were all doing their best to destroy the man.
He then faced off against the Clinton Machine and overcame what everyone said was high odds.  He won the White House and then, instead of the country coming together and accepting him as the 45th president, they launched a coup against him that most likely came directly out of the Obama White House.  Why would Mr. Trump not act the way that he has?  He has every reason to be angry, pissed off, and ready to rumble.
We know politics is a dirty business.  People nowadays will spend boatloads of cash to win the dog catcher’s seat, a spot on the city or county council, a gig on the PTA, or on any other elective office.
People will go to great lengths to dig up dirt on their opponents and then do everything humanly possible to destroy their target.  They will smear them, they will slather them with dirt, with fecal matter, with whatever crap they can cook up in their kitchens and will lambaste their enemies.  It is what it is and it’s flipping UGLY.
Because of this nonstop attempt at derailing the Trump administration and his policies, the president has not once given up.  Normal human beings would say, “ENOUGH!  I cannot take this anymore,” and would abdicate, allowing the number two guy or gal to take the gig.
Trump, on the other hand, continues fighting and as time passes, it seems that he becomes stronger, not weaker, and I hate to see how he is going to destroy whatever hapless Democrat endowed with the nomination has to face him.
Most of the people in MY party are not worthy of being president.  Let’s look at some of them and see if we agree.  Here we go:
1.      Elizabeth Warren: this woman is a frigging fright.  Not only is she difficult to look at and to listen to, much the same as Hillary was, she is crazy.  She is so far left and has declared war on the American taxpayers, on big business, on medium and small business, and on the banks.  If she were president, the nation would be ablaze from one end to the other.
2.      Julian Castro: this guy and his twin brother are two far-left loonies who hate this country and who would remove border security and merge our country with Mexico.  The brats of an illegal alien, far-left extremist who slipped across the border from Mexico to Texas, they hate our country, too, and there is no way we could ever elect Castro to be our next president.
3.      Andrew Yang: this guy has no chance so he is promising to give every American- whether he or she works or sits at home smoking crack- a grand or more per month.  Why is he even running?  To me, he seems like a double agent working for Beijing.
4.      Kamala Harris: California sees her as a bigoted embarrassment.  Her views are so far out there that if she was anywhere close to the White House, we would have to increase security to keep her from going after everyone who disagrees with her whacked-out views.  Note to the rest of the nation: do NOT vote for this woman.
5.      Cory Booker: this guy is a creep, a real creepy guy.  Why he is still in the running, I haven’t a clue.  Someone please do to him what Tulsi Gabbard did to Kamala Harris- destroy him.
6.      Amy Klobuchar: might be okay in my view but looking at her makes me want to go ‘woof.’  She is very untelegenic and I fear a closet Marxist so we want her nowhere near the nomination.
7.      Bernie Sanders: the guy is a communist.  What more can be said of him other than that he will NEVER win the nomination, even if the rest of them fall by the wayside.
8.      Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke: how this loser is even still in the running is beyond me.  He is far too stupid to ever be president and the sooner he falls by the side of the road and is then buried up by a bulldozer cannot happen soon enough.  Beto, go the f**k home.
9.      Mayor Pete: NO one is ever going to vote for a gay guy NO matter how likable he seems to be.  Sure as hell not me and the black folks, there is no way they will ever vote for him.  If a Democrat does win the White House, I would make Mayor Pete the ambassador to Sudan or Libya and bid him, ‘good luck.’
10. Joe Biden: I like Joe but his time has come and gone.  Wandering mentally, blood in the eye, stumbling, bumbling all about, the poor guy should be enjoying the beach somewhere in Florida.  Perhaps he will if his wife’s ambitions don’t kill him first.
As for some of the others, like Bill Di Blasio, that guy is a joke, a big joke.  So, too, is Wayne Messam, Tom Steyer (not only a joke but a hypocritical loser, too), and another one or two while some of the most qualified and personable such as Tim Ryan, Tulsi Gabbard, and Michael Bennett cannot get anywhere near the debate stage.
Amigos, I predict that Hillary Clinton will return to presidential politics if Joe Biden goes down and once she does, President Barack Obama will then send out Michelle to go for it.  How horrible would that be?
Eso es todo por este año para mí, los veré a todos en algún momento de marzo de 2020.  Tomorrow, Chef Fritz comes in to do his second week.

As have the rest of my colleagues, local Bakersfield street artist, Simone, created these portraits of me that you will see over successive days here at the blog.  I guess Simone did ‘okay’ in capturing my likeness; I guess it could have been worse.  I was a young cook back in the early 1960's when I commenced my culinary career.  I served underneath a Master Chef for many years before striking out on my own.  I went up the coast of the Western United States and Canada, working all the way, until I made it to Alaska.  From there, I moved to Hawaii for a couple of years (1994-1997) before I returned to Washington State and it was there that I met Stinkbug.
