THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CULINARY POLITICS-ELEMENTAL NEWS OF THE DAY COMMENTARY-OPINION-SPORTS-FOOD SERVICE FOR SATURDAY, AUGUST 31, 2019 BY CHEF ELVIN C. MCCARDLE

SUMMER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,226 AT THE AICP-END

431 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Let us imagine the world as it would be without Donald Trump…
Ventura, CA 93001, 08-31-2019 Saturday:  Many people believe that chefs and other professional food service workers are not ‘all that educated’ but they would be surprised if they only knew the Gospel truth.  Many of us are inquisitive, read the newspapers (yes, we still do that), watch various news channels, and damned sure listen to talk radio.  Many of the foodservers who are not ‘professional servers’ are generally college and university students and they are especially educated so one always has a wide variety of opinions floating about, all ripe for the picking.
As you know, the previous TWO days we have discussed China, how the Chinese are doing their damnedest to screw our country through sending us shoddy and dangerous products, seeking to spread their tentacles throughout the world, insinuating themselves into the Third World where the ‘wonderful humane Chinese’ seek to build ports, cities, transportation networks and hubs, and to creep into any place they deem ‘ripe for the picking,’ like Greenland.
Is it any wonder that President Donald J. Trump wants to buy Greenland and why the Danish prime minister may have rebuffed him, even going so far as to insult the American president and belittle his interest in seeking to own a vast territory that might figure in the geopolitics of the next 50 years or more?  Shame on that Danish pastry!
Besides fighting a trade war with China, we also must contend with the weak-kneed Europeans of the European Union.  What is it with the little French Prime Minister Emanuel Macron?  The little putz wants to sneak the Iranian foreign minister into a meeting with President Donald J. Trump?  What the heck is wrong with this failed ‘world leader,’ he who has ‘mother issues,’ and who wants to interfere in Brazil when he cannot even fix his own piece of the world?
The European Union- in my view- is becoming the lackey of not only the Iranians but of Vladimir Putin’s Russia, an evil place if ever one existed, a place where people die from rare radioactive materials poisoning and then deny- straight-faced- on the world stage any involvement in the ‘tragic mishap.’
I am glad that Donald J. Trump is our president because I am sick and tired of how his predecessor, Barack Obama, was schmoozing with the Iranians- most likely on his knees, with the Russians, with the simpleton Europeans who cannot remember who their ‘true friends’ are.  The Euros seem to like the Russians slithering into every aspect of their lives, especially through their control of natural gas flowing westward from their crumbled empire to the east.
Russia may have a Third World military but thanks to Vladimir Putin’s hatred of the West, they are adept at manipulating geopolitics via their ability to hack into virtually everything of value around the world, that and their sales of cheap usable energy with which to bind their customers to them, hence why the Europeans many times are so dismissive of our president.
The amazing thing about all of this is that the Europeans seemingly forget who their chief adversary was during the Cold War and their friend who kept them free.  Now, the Europeans seem to favor not only the Russians but the Chinese and the Iranians, three states who all would love nothing more other than to see our country fall by the wayside so they could assume our place.
How about them Iranians?  What the hell is wrong with the regime ruling Tehran that they are so dead set on destroying Israel?  They send their goons in the form of Hezbollah and Hamas to do their dirty work when it comes to waging war against the world’s only Jewish state.  Thank God the president is such a stout defender of Israel as someone must be.  It is clear the Europeans are rapidly becoming anti-Semitic.
I guess we know the reasons for that, however, and that is the Islamic invasion that occurred under the regime of Barack Obama.  It seems as though his inability to deal with the war in Syria as well as in providing aid to the brave people fighting for freedom during the Green Revolution in Iran spurred this massive exodus of Muslims, people ill-disposed to western ways, to flood into Europe and beyond.
Instead of recognizing the danger for what it was, President Obama pressured numerous countries around the globe to accept more and more Muslim ‘refugees’ which in my view is the sowing of one’s very own demise.
I mean, look at what is going on here in the United States, we have cities in Michigan and elsewhere where the Muslim presence is so intense they are electing rabid anti-Semites to Congress.  Women such as Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are embarrassments for our country so it is my hope we are able to boot them out of Congress and back into full burqas where they can languish in a state of hatred for all things western and free.
Something is going on around the world that resembles what brought about the downfall of the Western Roman Empire and that is the nonstop flow of people who have no intention on assimilating or respecting the law.  We must stop them and we must boot out every flipping left-wing and/or spineless politician who wants open borders, no assimilation, and who despises our country as founded.
November 2020 is going to be a very important election so it will be up to all of us to stand strong for the country and its president and to push back on all of the leftist garbage seeking to destroy everything we know, love, and revere, and to replace it with godless Marxism and Islam.
Let me know what YOU think.  God bless and thank you for standing with me in the defense of the United States, its people, and our blessed way of life.  I will see you tomorrow.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

Mike + the Mechanics released their next album, a ‘best of’ compilation, “Silent Running: the Masters Collection” on July 27, 2018.  It is hard to imagine that the band has cranked out as many hits as it has yet, indeed it has.  All the big singles on this collection so if you have not yet availed yourself of the music, this is a splendid way in which to do it so please, seek it out by visiting whatever site it is you do for nothing but the absolute best in rock music; you will be glad you did.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted @ the Saturday, December 08, 2012 Blog Post:

BLUE CHEER released their next album, “Live and Unreleased, Vol. II 68,” an effort that came out on August 10, 1999.  The album featured the original band cranking out some of their best tunes culled from three fiery, acidified shows, one from the San Jose Civic Center, one from the legendary Matrix, and the third from the Shrine Auditorium in beautiful, downtown Los Angeles.  The band featured Dickie Peterson (bass and vocals), Leigh Stevens (guitars), and Paul Whaley (drums).  If you want to hear some of the wildest, craziest rock and roll ever recorded, this album and anything else by this seminal band makes anything one finds from the millennial and gen-X’ers little more than crap.  Please seek it out, give it a listen, and enjoy.
Posted @ the Monday, August 18, 2014 Blog Post A:

The reformed Bad Company released their next album, “Dangerous Age,” which came out on August 23, 1988 and became their biggest seller yet what with three big tunes.  The lineup featured Simon Kirke (drums/percussion/vocals), Brian Howe (vocals/saxophones),   Mick Ralphs and Terry Thomas (guitars/backing vocals/keyboards) and Steve Price (bass).  The album featured “No Smoke Without Fire,” “One Night,” and “Shake It Up,” all of which received considerable airplay for months.  We hope you will seek this album out and consider adding it to your ever-growing collection as it is worthy of ownership by you and a big snapshot of late 1980s rock music scene.  We thank you.
