SUMMER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,213 AT THE AICP-END

444 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

China is waging a ‘reverse Opium War’ on the United States, which is going to bring the PRC down and not the U.S.
Delano, CA 93216, 08-18-2019 Sunday:  Many people are running around proclaiming that the ‘sky is falling, the sky is falling,’ when in fact, it’s flipping not.   The Democrats seeking the nomination (as well as their allies in the fake news media) continue wailing that ‘a recession is coming, a recession is coming,’ when in fact, it’s not coming either.  The only way they can get Donald Trump out of the White House now that their various coup attempts have collapsed into smoking ruin is to engineer the Wall Street Crash of 1929, Part II.  Short of sending in ringers to engineer some sort of market catastrophe before the 2020 Election, I seriously doubt a Wall Street crash is going to ensue anytime soon so all that is left for them to do is to find some loony to make some sort of violent attempt on our president’s life.  God forbid.
For decades, many Democrats have warned us about China, how the communists there were going to try to eat our lunch.  Now that President Trump is working on fulfilling another campaign promise about bringing the PRC to its knees through fair and equitable trade deals, many of the Democrats seem to have become silent supporters of the communist regime.
It should be no surprise to anyone because the Democrats have been a pro-China, pro-communist party for a long, long time now.  Since FDR became good buddies with Uncle Joe Stalin of the now-defunct USSR during World War II, pushing aside the warnings of ally Prime Minister Winston Churchill, good old Franklin Delano Roosevelt thought he could ‘control Uncle Joe,’ which sadly, he could NOT.
China at the time was also an ally whereas now, they are an enemy, implacable enemies with whom we can hardly do business.  They are doing everything they can to cause us problems, whether on the trade front or by waging a reverse Opium War on us by sending in mountains of the highly toxic and addictive drug, fentanyl.
Well, the time has come for the United States to push back and thank God, Hillary Clinton is not in the White House but Donald J. Trump.  Had it been the other way around and Mrs. Clinton been our president, she would have been doing business with the Chinese, taking money while doling out favors and all manner of concessions on all fronts.
Furthermore, I seriously doubt she would be working to stem the flow of drugs into the United States but would have welcomed it instead as addicted people can hardly offer any type of opposition to the ruination of the country going on around them.
Historically, we were not the ones waging ‘opium wars’ against China.  That distinction goes directly to the British who used the addictive substance coming out of the opium fields of Afghanistan and northern India as a way of corrupting the morals and the abilities of the Chinese people in resisting the ever-increasing encroachment of Chinese territory by the British empire.
Each time the imperial government of China sought to rebuff the British advances and throw them out in order to save their people from the highly addictive narcotics the Brits were shamelessly trafficking in, the superior weaponry of the British ruled the day and China was forced to offer more and more territorial concerns not only to the Brits but to the Germans, the Japanese, the U.S. and other Western powers engaged in ‘trade’ there.
Now, the Chinese are attempting to repay the United States the ‘favor’ by helping to import humongous quantities of fentanyl into our country.  They know we already have a problem with our various drug companies trafficking various opioids into depressed communities, causing approximately 300 drug overdose deaths per week.
Many illicit drug manufacturers use the highly-addictive and equally as dangerous fentanyl to cut their heroin or to add to their various pill concoctions that addicts so eagerly seek to buy on the street.  We already see the damage the drug war is causing our country.  All we need do is to see what is going on in the major cities where armies of homeless live among rats, cockroaches and other vermin, feces and urine, and all manner of toxic trash in the streets.
If the Chinese can continue destroying our country from within with this dire rot, they will rule the day and will receive all manner of concessions from us, hence why they are doing everything possible to ride the Trump presidency out and help the Democrats get someone pliable in his place, someone like a Kamala or a Liz or even better, that dumb ass Beto.
What the Chinese do not see is that we are repaying them the favor.  If they think they can get their stooges like North Korea to shoot off missiles or Russia to work on an arms race only to have it blow up in their faces, likewise, we can promote democracy and freedom in Hong Kong.
I have news for Xi Jinping and his communist lackeys around him that Donald Trump is not going to lose.  If the Chin do not make a trade deal and stick to it prior to the 2020 Election, they will rue the day they made the worst mistake of their lives.  Not only will Xi go down in ruination so, too, will many of his goons.  The smell of freedom is intoxicating and even if the communists send in the military to Hong Kong, it’s not going to be the cakewalk of Tiananmen Square.
See you…next year, I guess.  Have a grand rest of 2019.  Next year, we have work to do.

This is a cartoonish caricature of me, one created by up-and-coming Bakersfield street artist, Simone, one I am pleased to say looks ‘rather good.’  I have been in professional food service for a long, long time, moving into management back in 1973.  At the time, I was the Food and Beverage Director at one of the hotels in Bakersfield, CA, located on Union Avenue.  I was in my late thirties at the time.  I am still working at one of the local hotels in the nearby town of Delano, CA, a place that has been my home for the past 10 years.  Our city has experienced marvelous growth and is fast becoming a player in county politics.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted @ the Sunday, November 25, 2012 Blog Post:

BLUE CHEER exploded onto the scene in 1967 becoming the powerhouse rock trio of the psychedelic rock scene. Based in San Francisco, the group was unlike any of its competitors/colleagues in that they were a rock-and-roll juggernaut featuring Dickie Peterson (bass and vocals), Leigh Stevens (guitars), and Paul Whaley (drums).  Their first album, “Vincebus Eruptum,” came out on January 16, 1968 and took them to the pinnacles of rock stardom.  Some speculate the name of the band derived from a particular brand of acid the group frequently used but then again, it could be mere mythology as the name also was featured on a laundry detergent product at the time.
Posted @ the Monday, August 11, 2014 Blog Post B:

Out of the ashes of Led Zeppelin’s and Bad Company’s demise, a new band blossomed, the short-lived the Firm.  The group featured Jimmy Page (guitars), Paul Rodgers (guitars/vocals), Chris Slade (drums and percussion), and Tony Franklin (bass/keyboards/backing vocals).  The album made it onto the charts, getting to #17 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and the tune, “Radioactive,” featuring some of the meanest licks ever performed by the legendary Zep guitarist ever was on the charts for a solid week.  The group was a combination of Page and Rodgers unique styles backed with a solid drummer and a very funky bassist.  The ensuing combination made for one exciting album and demonstrated that you cannot keep top notch musicians down, especially if they do not want to be.  Please, seek this album out and consider adding it to your collection- you will be very glad you did.
