If we can weed out the losers in the running for our 2020 nomination and do it soon, I think a Joe Biden-Tulsi Gabbard ticket would be both a popular vote and an Electoral College landslide winner

SUMMER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,198 AT THE AICP-END

459 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

The sooner Tom Perez gets his troops under control, the sooner we can weed out people who have no business being in the running for our 2020 nomination…
Wasco, CA, 08-03-2019 Saturday: The fun thing about writing for this blog for as long as we have is that we get the opportunity to read our past posts, see how we have changed over the years, and then critique ourselves.  Now, there have been times when I have been down on President Obama and have said some things about him and some of his policies that were not always flattering such as his inexplicable burning desire to throw the doors of the country wide open to Muslim refugees from the Third World, especially when he claimed he became a Christian in his adult life, OR bringing Ebola sufferers into our country, ostensibly for treatment.
Watching the second night of debates out of Motown this past Wednesday night, all I can say is that I miss him- horribly so.  The closest thing we have to #44 and his legacy is former vice-president Joe Biden.
Granted, Joe is not a young buck anymore but his heart and his head are in the right place and watching some of the less attractive candidates like Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, and some of the backbenchers who have NO business being in the running- like Jay Inslee, Bill Di Blasio, Kirsten Gillibrand, and one or two others- rip him a new one, it makes me want to throw a skillet through the TV set and into CNN’s studio.
When Senator Booker did his best to one-up Joe with his comment on “Kool-Aid,” whatever it was about him and his phony ‘Boyz in the Hood’ farce, the former vice-president should have swung back around on him, “I like Kool-Aid, senator, but I sure don’t like the Jim Jones-laced Kool-Aid you and your bath house buddies like there.”   That might have shut that pompous, NOT-down-for-the-struggle whelp up and who knows, knock him out of the running- for good.
Senator Harris is another one of these conceited, self-important people who knows nothing about the ‘struggle.’  Kamala is the product of privilege, foreign privilege, her mom being from India and her daddy being the descendant of a slave-owning family in Jamaica, one of the worst places on the slaver’s circuit.
Then, when other losers such as Jay Inslee from Washington state and- the worst mayor in America, New York’s Bill Di Blasio- go after Joe, it made me angry and caused Earl Tiberius to almost chuck his pop bottle through the TV.  Both of us are shocked that these losers are even on the stage.  At least, Colorado’s Senator Michael Bennett has something to offer whereas Inslee appears like a thug and Di Blasio, well, what can you say about a hack like him?
Now, I am glad that Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard opened up on Senator Harris.  I mean, someone must do it because we sure as heck do not want that phony running the show any more than we should want someone as angry, as volatile, and as big a liar as is Elizabeth Warren as our nominee.  However, one of these women has the class and the dignity that only military can give someone and that person is Tulsi.  She ripped open the entrails of Senator Harris and did a doggone excellent job of it.
Senator Harris’ record in California is not a good one.  She has used her body as a means to work her way up the ladder, most notably with former California Assembly leader Willie Brown.
These questionable actions helped her in Oakland and it helped her win Barbara Boxer’s U.S. Senate seat when the aged politician decided to hang it up and retire.  Nothing of which anyone should be proud, especially someone wanting to be president of the United States.  Can you see her standing next to someone like Trump, trying to criticize his character when he can turn around and ask her ‘about Willie B?’  She would be gone then and for good.
Tulsi lit Kamala up on her appalling record of imprisoning minority men and women in California for the smallest of crimes, doing the job for ‘the man’ by using a ‘black face’ to do their dirty work.  This will dog her throughout whatever run she still has remaining to her but it is clear, if Tulsi Gabbard can get the funding- we are sending her some money to help her make it into the next round of debates- it is clear that Kamala could have her hands full.
My hope is that IF this is not already going on, that it soon will be and that is an alliance between the former vice-president and the Hawaii congresswoman.  I think the two working in coordination with one another could knock out some of the bottom-feeding backbenchers and clear the way for an alliance that could get Joe elected president for one, possibly two terms and have Tulsi the vice-president and heir apparent.
Otherwise, if the two do not come to some sort of mutual support deal, we could end up with someone devoid of humanity like Kamala Harris, a two-faced hypocrite who will do virtually anything to glom onto power like a leech onto a catfish’s rump or someone equally as bad as bleach-faced Kirsten Gillibrand who will equally do anything for power and once with it, will destroy the country just as the angry grandmother would, Elizabeth Warren.
The Democratic Party has its hands full trying to steer the debates but the longer it allows the candidates with NO hope to continue struggling, the more likely it will be that Donald Trump will win another term.
In closing, let me say this: many of the things President Trump is doing are good for the country.  I do not want wide-open borders any more than most Americans do, other than the far-left, America haters demand.  When it comes to morals and behavior, we can do better than Donald Trump but Tom Perez and the support staff must find a way to guide the debates and the nomination process so the outcome will benefit MOST Americans and not just a select, radicalized, far-left group of angry losers.
Let me know what you think.  This is serious and I look forward to hearing from you.

This is a cartoon caricature of me when I was working at a restaurant in Wasco, CA, my hometown.  The up-and-coming Bakersfield, California, street artist Simone did portraits of each of us here at the blog so I hope you like them as much as I, ahem, do.  Ah, well, I joined the Chefs de Cuisine of Greater Bakersfield, ACF, not long after it was chartered and am still a member even though the chapter is no longer in operation.  I began working in foodservice in the late 1960’s, moved from Wasco, CA, to Monterey, CA, and then returned to my hometown in 2004.  I have been a food server, a Mixologist, and am a Certified Cook.  I am equally at home in both the kitchen and behind the bar (and on the floor, too).  My passions are numerous, and my favorite is working in the bakery whenever I have had a chance.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

Genesis released yet another impressive box set on September 14, 2009, “Genesis Live 1973-2007.”  This effort featured the band’s live albums from their first, “Genesis Live” through “Live at the Rainbow.”  The only one missing is the latest live album, “Live Over Europe 2007,” but a slot is included so you can stick the one you own into it for easy carrying around to parties, work, the beach, wherever the heck you go.  We hope you will seek this effort out and add it to your ever-growing, ever-expanding Genesis and individual members collection.  You will be glad you did.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted @ the Saturday, November 10, 2012 Blog Post:

Love released their next album, “Back on the Scene,” on December 17, 2003.  This album features Arthur Lee leading a band of backup musicians performing at a club somewhere in time.  The band runs through a bevy of old favorites along with some other tunes culled from the artist’s solo career which with Love is indistinguishable.  Some fans criticize the sound quality, then again, how often do we uncover lost nuggets by a band such as Love?  We take our finds wherever we uncover them.  We hope you will seek this album out and consider adding it to your growing album collection.
Posted @ the Monday, August 04, 2014 Blog Post A:

Mott the Hoople released their next ‘best of’ compilation album entitled, “Two Miles from Heaven" on March 17, 1980.  This is an excellent compilation that provides the listener the crème de la crème of their breakout years through the end of the original lineup.   As we always say, if you have yet to get in on the ground floor of this seminal glam-rock British band, what is stopping you from doing it now?  Seek this one out by visiting whatever site you use for nothing but the absolute best in rock-and-roll music- you will enjoy it.
