SUMMER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,210 AT THE AICP-END

447 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Like Roswell, the more answers regarding the demise of Jeffrey Epstein continue to come out, so, too, will still more and more questions…
Delano, CA 93216, 08-15-2019 Thursday:  I do not know about you but I watch crime dramas on television whenever I have time to sit down, drink a beer or two or three, and relax with my beautiful wife, Jackie.  We love watching shows like “Chicago P.D.”, “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,” and other shows like “The Shield,” “The Wire,” “Justified,” and the infamous “Prison Break.”  We also have enjoyed Tom Selleck’s “An Innocent Man.”  Each of these shows or movies are excellent dramas and I am sure that much like “Law and Order,” which we watch, too, are based on real-life happenings or on scripts that come pretty doggone close to the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth (which, according to Joe Biden, is different from the facts- that’s a story for another time).
Take for instance, “Law and Order.”  That show in particular always RIPS stories from the headlines and produces scripts and shows in a relatively short time.  I imagine when the season starts up again, they will have an episode based in large part on the life of pedophile Jeffrey Epstein which will be condensed to one, possibly two hours.
The element of the tale I find so fascinating is how the wealthy billionaire child molester (CHOMO for short) committed suicide in prison while awaiting trial.  What a mess.
Yet, it seems to follow a script as people are flabbergasted by how someone who should have been watched 24/7, in the same way French jailers on Devil’s Island observed convicted (and later pardoned of treason) Colonel Alfred Dreyfus, a French officer of Jewish background and who served as a scapegoat for some sort of political ‘scheme’ back home, around the clock.
We know the wealthy Epstein had been on suicide watch and then was adroitly removed from it about a week prior to taking his own life.  Furthermore, we know he had a cellmate who was mysteriously transferred from the cell he shared with Mr. Epstein and sent somewhere else a day or two before the latter took his life.
We are told that Mr. Epstein had been issued the type of clothing and bedding that could not be used to hang oneself; nevertheless, the financier did just that, hung himself from his bed frame or from the cell door and did the job right
We also now know (if reports are true) that of the two reportedly overworked jail personnel on duty during the time of Epstein’s ‘demise’ (more on this in a minute), one was a prison guard and the other, a prison ‘employee.’  What?  Was the latter of the two a flipping janitor or cook picking up extra hours by making the rounds- which weren’t made for approximately three hours?  It makes no sense either but adds to the confusion.
So, the one guard had worked an 80-hour workweek which the jailer’s union (or whatever the flip it is) conveniently blames on President Donald J. Trump as though Mr. Trump has direct say over what the screws in the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) are paid in compensation.  Nice try, union heavies, only the ignorant and the stupid will add this fraudulent charge to their ever-growing list of ‘crimes’ committed by the president.
Moreover, just like an overworked TV script, we hear that the security camera footage that would show the interested world who exactly entered Mr. Epstein’s cell is either missing or messed up due to equipment malfunction.  Don’t you just hate that whenever it happens?  It always seems to be the case when people are slain inside a jail or prison but we know the truth.  We have seen “Sons of Anarchy” and “Prison Break,” so even a novice has a good idea as to how things work on the inside.
Then, when they wheeled Mr. Epstein’s body out on the coroner’s gurney, there are some questions about that.  Some say the financier appeared as though he was asleep and without discoloration, the type of which generally occurs when one squeezes the life out of one’s body by closing the throat.  Others claim it did not even look like the CHOMO so who the heck knows?
What we do know is that- thanks to President Barack Obama’s love of all-things Muslim- we never saw the corpse of Osama Bin Laden either.  We heard they conducted a burial at sea so the Islamic militants would not have a shrine to which they could flock like crows to carrion but many people do not believe that that POS is dead anymore than they believe Elvis or Jim Morrison are dead.
We want to see proof.  We want to see the death photos.  We want to see the autopsy photos.  We want to know that Mr. Epstein is dead no matter how it occurred or who did it if he was NOT the architect of his own expiration.  After all, this past Tuesday, reports came out that fellow prisoners on the block heard ‘shrieks’ coming out of the billionaire’s cell.  Okay, how do you ‘shriek’ when the bedsheets or the belt has sealed off your throat?
What I think is that within six months, possibly sooner, the inevitable sightings of Jeffrey Epstein will begin to hit the news.  Some will say they saw him in Brazzaville while others will claim to have seen him in Pretoria while still others will claim they had a fleeting glimpse of him wandering the woods near Massapequa near the Clintons’ home.  Still others will claim to have seen him on the same Brazilian beach where the Angel of Death- Dr. Joseph Mengele- purportedly suffered a stroke while swimming and drowned.
Friends, just like Roswell, the more people release information on the departure of Epstein from this world to the next continue to emerge, the more questions will continue to arise.  We will continue discussing this tomorrow.

This is a cartoonish caricature of me, one created by up-and-coming Bakersfield street artist, Simone, one I am pleased to say looks ‘rather good.’  I have been in professional food service for a long, long time, moving into management back in 1973.  At the time, I was the Food and Beverage Director at one of the hotels in Bakersfield, CA, located on Union Avenue.  I was in my late thirties at the time.  I am still working at one of the local hotels in the nearby town of Delano, CA, a place that has been my home for the past 10 years.  Our city has experienced marvelous growth and is fast becoming a player in county politics.
