SUMMER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,177 AT THE AICP-END

480 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Why are liberals so flipping angry all the time?  It is unseemly…
Taft, CA, 07-13-2019 Saturday:  Ah, the weekend, after today, one more day to go (for me) and then Vladdie will come in and after his week, the entire cycle begins once again.  I am hearing (and happily so) that we may add a new chef-blogger to the lineup, Chef Alvin T. Woliztnikistein, a professional chef who has sat along the sidelines serving as president of our two blogs for a couple of years now.  Stinkbug and Chef Z are encouraging him to begin tapping out some posts so when the day arrives that Mo and his lovely wife move to Israel to enjoy their retirement, “A.T.” as we call him will be able to step in and do the job.  Going to be fun.
Moving forward, this past Wednesday, we heard the little Bronx bartender AOC (Baby Evita) spit out yet another memorable quote (‘Quotes for Morons’ is a book we here at the blog should be authoring), words to the effect that she ‘wants to abolish not only ICE but now, the entire Department of Homeland Security all because she believes it is a racist organization.
I am rapidly concluding that NO one should ever speak this ditz’s name ever again because she is a dimwit, someone no one should listen to, pay heed to, give homage to, or give a moment’s notice if she comes to the mic and begins regurgitating Marxist-laden claptrap.  To humor her is to humor someone who should be boarded up in a back bedroom, her food pushed underneath the door, and a hole in the floor in which to do her business.  She is that flipping ignorant and a national embarrassment.
What is more, I do not believe anyone in the media, in politics, in everyday American life should do anything more than speak down to this moron, as condescendingly and publicly as possible.  She is, after all, the classic “Epsilon,” of “Brave New World” fame (thank you, Aldous Huxley).
The stupid things she upchucks on a daily basis is making not only me ill but everyone I know around me ill.  It’s like, we wake up in the morning, turn on the TV to see the latest bucket of ‘hairballs’ this freshman ditz is going to spew.  Godawful, I tell you and I am praying to God it stops.
Something else I have found entirely detestable and somewhat upsetting is how the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team has made everything political in its wake.  They have removed the pleasure millions of Americans once had for this prestigious sport all because they cannot shut their big mouths.  Like Colin Kaepernick and the NFL protests, people will turn their backs on them all because of the politicization of the sport.
Look, I get it, most, if not all, of the ladies are bull daggers, good for them, to each their own, power to the people.  I think as a youngster, I might have had a few ‘walks on the wild side’ myself being the wild child I was so I have nothing against them being gay.
However, I do find it troubling that the women must be so disrespectful to not only President Trump but to the entire nation and its accoutrements such as the American flag and patriotism while overseas on foreign soil.
What’s more, why cannot American athletes behave with a modicum of respectability and display some patriotism towards the country that has given them every chance to succeed?  Is it too much to ask for or are we living in a new and highly politicized time?
It is the same with Baby Evita and her fellow freshman Democrats Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.  The country has bestowed amazing gifts on them, allowing each to become representatives for the people of their districts back home and in the case of Congresswomen Omar and Tlaib, given them the gift of American citizenship, too, so what is with all the America hatred?
The anger and the hate ONLY seems to come out when Republicans sit in the White House.  I can remember when George W. Bush was president and the Dixie Chicks were proclaiming their shame for being American while performing on foreign soil.  What is up with that?  Why can’t you either zip your oversized Botox lips when you are overseas and then when you come home, if you feel the need to reprimand your country, do it then?
I do not recall American athletes or Republican politicians going to foreign soil and blasting President Obama, I think we have far too much respect for both the office and the country.  Why cannot those sitting on the other side of the aisle display equal amounts of decorum and class?  Once again, I ask, “Is it too much to ask for or have we gone down the path of no return?”
Well, in closing let me say this, I have this pleasant daydream when I am running the bandsaw cutting pork loins into pork chops, beef into T-bones and Porterhouses, and breaking down sides of lamb that Nancy Pelosi is finding people to challenge these boisterous freshman Democrats and will get them out of office ASAP.
I also know that we have spoken here at this blog that the leadership of the Democratic Party should launch a “Night of the Long Knives”-style POLITICAL massacre (not calling for any violence here) and drive these scumbags out of office ASAP as if Pelosi and Chuck Schumer fail to do this, it will be the death of their party and we need a two-party system and possibly a strong third party to keep the other two in check.
Thanks for joining me today; we will wrap everything up tomorrow and put a nice big pink bow on it.  Have a glorious day and if you find yourselves in Taft, California, seek me out and say, “Hello.”

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

Steve Hackett (guitars/bass/harmonica/vocals) released his next album, “Live Archive ‘03,” on May 27, 2004.  As with every artist with a lengthy career, at some point, they begin opening the archives and releasing the best of what they have and here, we have a great show recorded in the UK.  If you are a completist as we are, you must own every shred of music by an artist you love, which is why we encourage everyone to seek this album out and add it to your collection- you will be glad you did.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted @ the Saturday, October 20, 2012 Blog Post:

In San Francisco in 1966, Mexican-born guitar phenom, Carlos Santana, formed a Latin-flavored rock band that exploded onto the world scene through its appearance at the Woodstock Festival in 1969.  This is that album: “Legacy” features the group’s full set (plus their first album in remastered form).  Besides the band’s namesake guitarist/vocalist were Gregg Rolie (lead vocals/keyboards), David Brown (bass), Michael Shrieve (drums), Michael Carabello (congas/percussion), and Jose “Chepito” Areas (timbales/congas/percussion).  Yup, it seems the same as the album we offered yesterday but it is what it is, just reversed.  This is an excellent album; one we encourage everyone to look into and add to their collection.  It is indeed a classic.

Posted @ the Thursday, July 24, 2014 Blog Post B:

Widowmaker formed with famed guitarist Luther Grosvenor aka Ariel Bender, late of Spooky Tooth and then Mott the Hoople joined forces with a variety of other British musicians such as Huw Lloyd-Langton (guitars), Stan Ellis (vocals), Bob Daisley (bass), and Paul Nicholls (drums).  This, the group’s debut album, “Widowmaker,” (February 10, 1976), is a fine one and the song, “Running Free” is worth the price of admission alone.  Please seek out this superb effort by yet another spin-off British rock band and give it a good long listen- you will be so glad you did.
