SUMMER SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,159 AT THE AICP-END

498 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

One must admire the Democrats as they never falter but continue chipping away at everything that made America great…
Pumpkin Center, CA, 06-25-2019 Tuesday:  The Democrats NEVER change their tune, my friends, it’s ALWAYS ‘let’s give this away, let’s give all of that away, and let’s give even more stuff away,’ yet no one ever really says where the revenue is going to come from other than we are going to tax this level of income or we are going to slap some new taxes on (evil) Wall Street.
The problem with all of this pot liqueur is that at some point, taxation trickles down to the middle class, always to the middle class, and that is when the economic engine of society begins to stagnate because who in their right frame of mind would want to work hard, to work long hours, only to see the hidden hand of the tax man slip its way into their back pocket?
I can assure you that none of my employees will be overly enthusiastic to work time-and-a-half or double time simply because everyone fears the tax bite that is going to hit all of them, including me, should some whacko Democrat win the White House in 2020.

Here’s what I said back on Sunday, July 08, 2018 about how the leftists view us:
“The left loves giving away the candy store as long as they are NOT the ones paying the ultimate bill.  They love taking YOUR money and then redistributing it to those ne’er-do-wells who will NEVER amount to anything unless someone prods them in the butt with a cattle prod set on FULL.”  (Carrici, 08-July-2018)
The problem in the United States right now is that the communists and subversives who used to lurk in the cellars are now popping out into the bright light of day.  It’s like, “Look at me, up until the last couple of elections, we have had to remain out of sight, being the unseen hand influencing the young and vulnerable through their control of the educational system.  Now, we can proudly come out and hold our heads high and work on making YOU like US- whether you want it not.”
Who would have ever thought this?  Who would have ever thought that there were more communist goons like Bernie Sanders and his sycophant, the harebrained loser with the big goo-goo eyes, “the Fly,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  Last year, I laughed at her, then I mocked her, and now I think that unless something happens that pulls the rug out from under her, we are going to have real problems come 2024 and beyond.
People can dismiss the Fly- AOC- all they like but that girl is tapping into something and there are loads of people just like her tapping into the same brand of folly.  They believe that holding pens along the southern border and in towns and cities across the nation are concentration camps where we ‘cage immigrant children and allow them to die.’
The Fly makes it out as though we are no better than Nazis.  She won’t go to the border to witness just how much work goes into caring for the detritus of other countries no more than she will ever accept the invitation from Holocaust survivors to tour the Auschwitz Death Camp.  She won’t do it because her vacuous mind is already made up and she sides with the illegal aliens seeking to overrun our country and make it the slum nations they are seeking to flee.
Yesterday, I was listening to the Rush Limbaugh Show along with my kitchen employees when the last caller of the day, a black gentleman came on and said prophetically, ‘how he feared the displacement of white people by the Central American tidal wave.’  He went on to say how he was not self-hating but that he could foresee how IF the illegal alien invasion is not stopped, our country is going to become their countries, which he meant would be for the worse.
Of course it would be much unhealthier for freedom-loving people.  While I get his words, what ALL Americans- white, black, brown, yellow, and red- who love their country dread is the tidal wave of people who seem to have NO desire whatsoever to assimilate.  If anything, what they intend to do is to bury us beneath an avalanche of people who want to impose THEIR countries’ ways upon us, not become Americans and JOIN us in seeking continual prosperity.
Here is a second point I made in the article I wrote back in 2018:
“As Margaret Thatcher once said, “Socialism is great until you run out of other people’s money.”  Bingo!  Wham bam, thank you, ma’am.  All one need do is to look at Venezuela where the nation- blest with the largest oil reserves in the Western Hemisphere- is in the throes of economic (and soon political) meltdown.”  (Carrici, 08-July-2018)
In closing, let me say this to the readership: when people celebrate failed nation states like Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, and loads of African and some Asian countries over ours, one knows there is a big problem brewing on the horizon.  Our young people believe all manner of bizarre things and it is up to us to try to set them straight or see ourselves trundled off to democratic-socialist-run reeducation camps.
Don’t laugh, it’s not that far away, folks.  I say we have two, maybe three elections to get it right or throw in the towel as after 2020, the Fly will be Democratic nominee.
See you tomorrow.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

Peter Gabriel released his next album, “OVO,” on June 12, 2000.  This is an interesting effort as it was music composed for the Millennium Dome Exhibition in London.  The Brits constructed the Dome to usher in the new millennium and the accompanists include numerous big and lesser name musical luminaries which make for a satisfying effort.  Please, seek this one out and consider adding it to your growing collection- you will be glad you did.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted @ the Wednesday, October 03, 2012 Blog Post:

Every band worth its salt began releasing archival efforts and Santana is no different.  On March 11, 1997Santana released “Live at the Fillmore 1968,” showing the band about a year before the breakout performance at the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969.  Featured on this recording besides Santana are: Greg Rolie (lead vocals/keyboards), David Brown (bass), Bob Livingstone (drums), and Marcus Malone (congas/percussion).  The tunes on this recording from a three-to-four night-stand in December ’68 at the legendary Fillmore West, the premium place for up-and-coming bands as well as existing acts.  This is one of those delightful historical gems that every fan of the man and of his band should own so seek it out wherever you shop for nothing but the best in rock music.  You will be so glad you did.

Posted @ the Tuesday, July 15, 2014 Blog Post B:

Following the breakup of FreePaul Kossoff formed his own band and released his first album, “Back Street Crawler,” on March 20, 1973.  Joining the legendary guitarist on this endeavor were a variety of musicians including keyboardist John “Rabbit” Bundrick as well as his former band mates from Free, among others.  It is a shame that drug addiction crippled this guitarist because when he was on, he was among the best and there is no telling where his career would have gone.  Please, seek this album out as it is among the best glimpses of what might have been had both Free remained together and this man not died from drug abuse.
