SPRING SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,142 AT THE AICP-END

515 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

What sort of country have we become in which life means little to nothing?
Century City, CA, 06-08-2019 Saturday:  In less than three weeks, the Democrat candidates battling one another will face off in the first debate.  I read what Murph wrote last week in one of her posts about which of the candidates was going to make it into Round 1 and I do not believe there will be quite as many as she thought.  Then again, I could be totally wrong and the debate could drag on for three hours so that everyone has the opportunity to pound the podium and spout fecal matter from every orifice.
Right now, it appears that each candidate seeks to outdo one another in how far left, how much insane, and how anti-Trump they can go to outdo one another.  Only Groping Joe Biden continues somewhere on the outer fringes, not engaging the others whenever they go after him.  He acts as though he already is the cock of the walk- cazzo della passeggiata- and in a battle grip with President Trump.  Whether he can hold on or will veer off the road and into the canyon as he always has remains to be seen.
What should be clear to everyone at present is the fact that the Western World is in a decline.  We see it in the demand for abortion at all stages of development and even out of the womb and into this world.  Somehow, women have the right to have their newborn infants murdered on the delivery table, something that 20 years ago would have brought charges of first-degree homicide but now invite yawns and an air of ‘ho-hum.’
While I believe that women have a right to their bodies, when do the unborn and the newborn have ‘rights?’  At what point do we give them the enfranchisement of life?  Do we wait as they did in the Dark Ages and into the Enlightenment that they reach the age of 3-4 before we bless them with a name because up until that age, the chances of them dying from some godawful disease or malnutrition was higher and so parents waited before investing time and love in their young children.
Over the past year, my colleagues and I have written posts bemoaning the declining respect for humanity, something that smacks of the socialist mentality in which life is nothing special and not everyone deserves equality with others.  Socialists seem to think that humankind has no soul, no morality other than what government says it does and any respect for life is nonexistent unless, of course, the leadership are the ones facing extermination.
We must celebrate that we have a man in the White House who believes in the sanctity of life, that all life has value, and that dispensing with the unwanted and unloved is wrong and should stop.
Every day when I look at my kids and their kids I thank God that we have such a strong defender of life leading us because if it were Hillary or some other godless Democrat, the abortion mills would be running around the clock and the smoke from the ovens would be darkening the sky.
What’s more, if the unborn/newborn are easily dispensable, how soon will it be before we older folks lack intrinsic value?  How soon before we become a burden to the state?  Even though we have funded our own Social Security and Medicare accounts via our blood, sweat, and tears, thanks to politicians of all parties robbing the so-called ‘lockbox,’ how soon will we lack the necessary value to be sustained into our old age?
Pro-Choice Democrats and liberal Republicans who promote abortion rights and Roe v. Wade and who do not wince now that we are butchering newborns on the delivery table will be among the first who will be calling for a cessation to our lives when we arrive at some heretofore undetermined age.  Will it be 70?  Eighty?  It sure as heck won’t be 90 because most of us will be, by that point in time, thirty years into our retirement, money liberal losers such as AOC will be wanting to devote to other, more ‘deserving’ groups- like illegal aliens.
I am at an age as are many of our readers to know that once murder becomes accepted, codified into law, once the taking of life becomes clinical and lacks the moral qualms that civilized cultures possess, there is no telling where this merry-go-round will end.  Right now, there is a clamor to end the DEATH PENALTY yet if the left takes power, you had better believe it will be okay to execute criminals, political adversaries, and others the state deems its ‘enemies.’
Look at poor Paul Manafort.  The man has done nothing wrong that many others like him have done and suffered no problem doing.  Since he helped Donald Trump become president however, he now faces death at the hands of thugs in New York City’s notorious Rikers Island Prison thanks to NYC AG Cyrus Vance Jr, a worthless POS to be sure.
It is clear we now have political prisoners in the United States and we have seen many of them such as George Papadopoulos, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, and all the others that Obama era goons have sought to browbeat into destroying Donald Trump, all because the man won an honest election over a chosen favorite.
What sort of country have we become?  Let me know.  Thank you.

SATURDAY, JUNE 08, 2019

Mike + the Mechanics released their next album, “Beggar on a Beach of Gold” on March 06, 1995.  Once again, this album produced three good-sized hits that demonstrated that as a solo artist, Mike Rutherford was doing very well.  The lineup featured Mike Rutherford (guitars/basses), Paul Carrack and Paul Young (vocals), Adrian Lee (keyboards), Pete Van Hooke (drums) along with additional supporting musicians such as Humble Pie’s Clem Clemson (guitars).  Once again, the album spawned several singles that received considerable airplay, although none reached the level on the charts that the ones from their debut did.  Still, this is a worthy album for fans of both the band and of the man to own so please, seek it out now wherever you shop for the best in rock music.  You will be glad you did.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted @ the Sunday, September 16, 2012 Blog Post:

Say what you will about the Santana band, count them down and out and they come roaring back.  At least moderately so, with their next release, “Shango,” on August 10, 1982.  A single, “Hold On,” made it onto the radio and remained there for a while, which is enough for us to recommend this highly enjoyable album.  The band featured Carlos Santana (guitars/backing vocals), Chris Solberg (guitars/backing vocals), Alex Ligertwood (vocals), Graham Lear (drums), David Margen (bass), Gregg Rollie and Richard Baker (keyboards), Raul RekowOrestes Vilató, and Armando Perraza (assorted percussion), and another one or two contributors.  The music is excellent and flows through an album-oriented style that demonstrates the group is moving, growing, and becoming more and more intense.  Check it out and enjoy.

Posted @ the Monday, July 07, 2014 Blog Post A:

In 1968, out of the fragments of the YardbirdsJimmy Page (guitars) and John Paul Jones (bass/keyboards), formed Led Zeppelin with vocalist Robert Plant and drummer John Bonham.  Their first release, “Led Zeppelin,” came out on January 12, 1969 and delighted hard rock fans around the world.  Panned by the critics who seldom if ever felt the band lived up to its potential, musica fans loved it.  The album has a bit of a Yardbirds feel to it in their final offering, “Little Games,” and is a joy to listen to so why not check it out and add it to your collection.
