SPRING SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,140 AT THE AICP-END

517 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

TODAY IS CHEF OLAF’S 100th BLOG POST

Time for Richard Trumka to do what is right for the United States instead of for the Democratic Party…
Century City, CA, 06-06-2019 Thursday: Folks, this is the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings along the coast of Normandy.  It was a time of great stress, a time when the commanding generals down to the lowliest of privates were throwing the dice, praying to God that all would go well.  The Germans were a fierce opponent but misinformation and the German belief in their own intelligence services infallibility allowed the Allies to gain the necessary toehold with which, to bring the main European Axis partner to an end.
Right now, there is much stress here in our country as President Trump rolls the dice once again by alerting Mexico to imminent tariffs on all goods shipped from their country to ours unless the Mexican government actually steps up to the plate and prohibits the invasion pouring through their country to ours from Central America.
Rational Americans are tired, we are tired of the nonstop flow of humanity into our country.  We do not know these people, we have no clue from whence they came or why they are coming but what we do know is that once they gain a ‘toehold’ in our country, any hope of ever rounding them up and getting them out rapidly diminishes.
I would love to see President Trump reach out and court BIG LABOR.  I think the president should invite the president of the AFL-CIO, Richard Trumka, to the White House for a sit-down on how to woo BIG LABOR back to being the patriotic group it once was instead of a money-grubbing dying organization it has become.
There was a time when BIG LABOR opposed illegal immigration, a time when the rank and file of the nation’s workers stood for Americans working American jobs and not illegal aliens diluting the various industries with a steady flow of dues-paying illegals who in the end damage the unions’ viability themselves.
Labor leader and organizer of the United Farm Workers Association, Cesar Chavez, was adamantly against illegal aliens as he knew that that they diluted the pay and the jobs available to American farmworkers.  Say what you will about Mr. Chavez, one cannot fault the man for being pro-American and wanting American jobs going to American citizens.  This is how it should be.
As far as Mexico goes, I hope they buckle because putting tariffs on them will harm us temporarily in the United States.  Costs of doing business will go up but restaurateurs such as me will always find new sources, local sources.  Before we began relying on Mexico, Peru, and Chile for much of our out-of-season produce, we could find here in the country.
You see, California was once one of the great agricultural centers of the country as Florida and Texas have become.  It was important that we produce our own produce, our own fruits, our own meats and poultry because relying on foreign countries to be our suppliers makes as much sense as buying oil from nations that hate us and want to see us defeated.
As long as Mexico fails to stop the flow of illegals into our country, people carrying all manner of foul and evil diseases, people with bad intentions towards and for us, and people whom we cannot assimilate or absorb, we must punch them square in the face as many times as it takes to make them STOP.
The attitude of Mexico has been of Reconquista, everyone with a fifth grade education understands that the continual flood of people into our country is so that one day, it will be a fait accompli and there will be more foreign Latinos in our country than there are of the rest of us.  Ripe for toppling and takeover, if I do say so myself.
As with China, President Trump employs the only carrot he has that both Mexico and China understand- losing money as well as parts of the supply chain.  I believe the president wants as many of the industries that we lost to China, Mexico, and other foreign destinations that do not like us to return to our shores and to employ Americans once again.  This is something that Richard Trumka can participate in helping bring about so let us appeal to his sense of patriotism.
Let us appeal to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. Work out an agreement with Mr. Trump.  Work out an agreement by which you can get rid of all non-citizen workers and employ Americans.  Find ways by which, you can forge agreements that will work for both employers and employees so that more industries return to the country than abandon it.
I think if we can work out wage and benefits agreements amenable to all sides, the future could be golden once again, as it was in the last century.  Mr. Trumka, do not forget that you and President Trump have much in common.  You are both blue collar men.  You are street smart, strong, and hard-working.  The president wants to bring industry back and you can supply the laborers, American laborers
Mr. Trumka, what have the Democrats truly done for you and America’s workers?  Nothing that I can see.  Once illegal aliens take precedence over American workers, the country no longer exists.  Do the right thing and let us defend our country and its people and begin repelling the invasion as soon as we possibly can.  It will be good for everyone and we will have no credible competition.  We must do it so we can save our nation as did the men who landed on Gold, Juno, Sword, Utah, and Omaha Beaches.
Let’s save our country before there is nothing left to save.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted @ the Friday, September 14, 2012 Blog Post:

Carlos Santana released his next solo album, “The Swing of Delight,” on August 10, 1980.  This album was more instrumental in nature, featuring a moving variety of styles and fusion as the artists demonstrates chameleon-like ability to morph between various musical styles.  Joining the guitarist/vocalist are members of his band as well as other accompanists.  Featured here are: Chris Solberg (guitars/backing vocals), Herbie Hancock (keyboards), David Margen and Ron Carter (bass), Graham LearHarvey Mason, and Tony Williams  (drums), Pete Escovedo, Orestes Vilató, and Armando Perraza (assorted percussion), and loads of other highly talented musicians.  Always evolving and experimenting, Carlos Santana never fails to present superb musical endeavors, which is why we wholeheartedly promote this stunning album to the readership.  After all, if you enjoyed “Welcome” and “Borboletta,” you will enjoy this album.  Please, seek it out and add it to your growing collection as you will enjoy it to be sure.

Posted @ the Sunday, July 06, 2014 Blog Post A:

In 1968, the band, Free, formed with Paul Rodgers (lead vocals/guitars/pianos), Paul Kossoff (lead guitar), Andy Fraser (bass), and Simon Kirke (drums and percussion).  Their first album, “Tons of Sobs,” came out on March 14, 1969.  Although not a big seller, it demonstrated that the fiery quartet and legendary live performers were on their way to the height of the music business.  This is a great debut album, one we hope everyone will look into and consider adding to their collection as it is a must-own effort.  Thank you.
