THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CULINARY POLITICS-ELEMENTAL NEWS OF THE DAY COMMENTARY-OPINION-SPORTS-FOOD SERVICE FOR THURSDAY, JUNE 13, 2019 BY CHEF PEDRO MUÑOZ

SPRING SESSION 2019

BLOG POST #3,147 AT THE AICP-END

510 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2020

Congress, pull benefits away from illegal aliens and give them to the first-responders who answered the call of duty on September 11, 2001
San Diego, CA, 06-13-2019 Thursday:  I admire Jon Stewart and his defense and advocacy of and for the Ground Zero first-responders who did not quaver at the call to help their fellow Americans when the scumbag jihadis attacked the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.  These poor men and women- the survivors- who labored atop the pile for what seemed like months did not expect that they would become deathly ill with diseases, 10-15 years later, not thought of or anticipated from the call of duty that agonizing day.  If anything, the terrorists have slain more Americans in the aftermath of the attacks than they did in the actual travesty itself.
Not only are the first-responders still suffering, so, too, is everyone else who lived in Lower Manhattan and who did not rush miles away to prevent possible contamination in the aftermath of the attacks.  These brave, men, women, and now grown children, continued living their lives, going to school, walking the streets, and doing their best to recover from the senseless attacks inflicted on them.  Years later, many are now sick with all manner of cancers, lung diseases, you name it, these poor people suffer it and it is horribly tragic.
Every five years or so, the dwindling number of survivors return to Capitol Hill as they did this past Tuesday and Wednesday.  They do not do it because they enjoy speaking to quarter-filled hearing rooms but because they must as the benefits Congress has set aside to address their issues continues to diminish and must be renewed every five years.
This is not correct, especially now that benefits have been slashed by 70-percent, and politicians on both sides of the aisle must set aside the animosity, the anger, and the boiling hatred they hold for one another and for our current president and address the financial needs of these forlorn men and women before it’s too late.
I have several thoughts on this issue and can assure you that liberals will probably be offended but how about this: how about if California Governor Gavin “The Smiler” Newsom redirects all the tax money the hateful little prick rips out of our pockets so he can provide FREE health care, FREE food, FREE housing, FREE education, and all the rest of the goodies the little dog dingus showers on illegal aliens and into the federal 9-11 pot?  How about it, Mr. Crackpot Governor?  F**k the illegals, let’s funnel that cash over to the survivors of the worst attack on U.S. soil.
Oh, politicians, both on the national and statewide stage, make big, flowery speeches, sermons of how much they care that will play to future posterity, that will demonstrate what ‘kind and caring people’ they were.  They bled their hearts dry showering LOVE atop the illegal aliens who roam around us like cockroaches, why not care for those who have bled and died for us instead of people who have no business being here?
Across the country, if all the sanctuary cities and states would return to reality, to normalcy and begin doing the ‘right thing’ by becoming ‘patriotic’ once again instead of being power-mad and wanting to spit in the faces of every American simply because they despise the people they were chosen to lead, we could fix what ails us.
There must be an accounting at some point, we must hold every politician accountable if they favor NON-citizens over American citizens and green card-holders.
Moreover, we have a moral duty to care for our own before we begin showering American largesse on people from other countries and I am telling you, the undercurrent of anger among the voters is a palpable thing, it grabs you by the crotch as you pass through this life.
What’s more, you can feel it when you walk the streets, you can sense it when you walk through the dining room, the people want the country to return to normalcy again and that means booting out politicians in slobbering love affairs with frigging illegal aliens.
I am sure I will suffer criticism for saying what I think and feel but no American, the victim of an unexpected terror attack or in the service of their community or country should have to beg soulless politicians who sit there all agog, giving homilies about ‘how much they care.’  The survivors should be taken care of at 150-percent of what we as a nation promised them, not have their benefits slashed to an appalling 30-percent of what the politicians guaranteed.
I do not know about you but enough is enough.  I am tired by the infighting, I am fatigued by the inability of the Democrats to let go of ‘the Russian thing’ and move on with their lives.  No matter what mumbling Robert Mueller III said in his final appearance before the press, he found NOTHING on which to indict a sitting president.  Let it go or we will let YOU go, it is inevitable, it is certain, the only thing unclear is exactly when…but it’s coming.
Amigos, thank you so much for being here with me today; we will continue more tomorrow with China and other hot topics.  Adios, muchachos.

I am still working part-time in my semi-retired years in my hometown in San Diego, CA.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

Phil Collins released his next album, “Dance into the Light,” on October 21, 1996.  Now a full-fledged solo artist having left Genesis earlier in the year, he compiled a new band, the Phil Collins Band, that included not only him but Daryl Stuermer and Ronnie Caryl (guitars), Chester Thompson (drums), Nathan East (bass), Brad Cole (keyboards), backup vocalists and a horn section.  This is a lively album, one we know will rock your socks, which is why we encourage everyone to seek it out via visiting whatever site you do for the absolute best in music.  Pay no attention to what music critics say, we love it and know you will, too.

SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:

Posted @ the Friday, September 21, 2012 Blog Post:

Carlos Santana released his next solo album, “Blues for El Salvador,” on October 10, 1987.  This album was a fascinating departure from the artist’s usual style in that it was more old-school rock-and-roll and reeked of Tex-Mex overtones.  Absolutely fantastic to say the frigging least, folks.  He had a large cast of accompanying musicians such as Greg Walker (vocals), Chris Solberg (guitars), Chester D. Thompson and Sterling Crew (keyboards), Tony Williams and Graham Lear  (drums), Orestes Vilató, Raul Rekow, Alex Ligertwood, and Armando Perraza (assorted percussion), Alphonso Johnson  (bass) and many, many others joining the artist.  The fiery guitarist dedicated this amazing album to his wife so it has much personal emotion imparted to the music.  The critics bitched and moaned about intensity throughout but folks, critics know little to nothing about what is GREAT.  Check it out and enjoy.

Posted @ the Wednesday, July 09, 2014 Blog Post B:

The final studio album by the British blues rock band, Free- “Highway”- came out on December 10, 1970.  The band had high hopes for the follow-up to their previous effort, “Fire and Water,” but recorded swiftly to capitalize on the group’s growing success, it had its ups and downs.  Still, “The Highway Song” and the unique, plodding bluesy tune, “The Stealer,” are well worth the price of admission, which is why we encourage everyone to seek it out at whatever venue you patronize for nothing but the best in rock-and-roll music.  We know you will love it which is why we have no trouble urging you to seek it out and add it to your collection- you will be glad you did.
