SUMMER SESSION 2018
BLOG POST #2,880 AT THE AICP-END
FIFTY DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018
My
liberal friends are going to hate me but here is the deal: I think Professor
Ford is the one who made the advances and that Brett Kavanaugh is the one who
rebuffed them leaving her to be angry ever since
Shafter, CA, 09-19-2018 Wednesday: Yesterday, we began a discussion, which is a ‘first’ for me, talking
about the Supreme Court and how repellant the process has become in sending
someone up for confirmation. Look, I am
a Democrat, we were steaming angry for months, if not a year or longer over how
that croaking toad, Mitch McConnell,
kept a qualified jurist at arm’s length.
That was not right, I know the GOP was fearful that President Obama
would seize upon the opportunity to put a liberal
into a conservative seat- in this
case, the seat held by Antonin Scalia- because anyone would.
Yet, Judge Merrick Garland was not a far-left liberal, if anything, the man- at least in my view-
was somewhat middle of the road, you know, MOR, a moderate who would have ruled
on both sides of the fence or so I thought and still believe.
The mistake the Republicans made in the case of Judge Garland
is that they failed to give him a
hearing, something I believe they now regret because let’s face it- we
Democrats may have been more open to considering someone such as Brett
Kavanaugh (or even Neil Gorsuch) had our
guy been given a fair hearing.
Now, that is not to say that he would have made it onto the
Supreme Court as Judge Garland might still have not made it through the full Senate vote. I expect he would have but that is the
crapshoot, the one that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had no wish to
try to chance. Therefore, he never gave a qualified judicial nominee
a shot at the high court.
The accuser of Judge Brett Kavanaugh- XXX,
a professor at Palo Alto University in California who teaches, interestingly
enough clinical psychology, at first
wanted to remain anonymous. She penned
her story in a letter to her congressperson who then forwarded it to the
ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, our beloved Senator Dianne
Feinstein.
Now, Senator Feinstein had this incriminating document back in July so as the hearings began
and it was clear that no matter how you look at it or on what side of our great
political divide one resides, Judge Brett Kavanaugh is a superb candidate.
We should all want
someone who is going to interpret the law as written, determine whether it is
constitutional or it is not, and then make a ruling. We do not need jurists who will examine the
legal codes of South Africa, who will scrutinize the legal rulings in a
shithole country like Venezuela, or who will see how a U.S. law stands up next
to one from Nicaragua or El Salvador like some judges on the court (not
mentioning any names) do.
Professor Ford alleges that at some point back in the 1980s
when she and Judge Kavanaugh were in high school, he confined her to a room, put his hand over her mouth, attempted-
clumsily in her words- to remove her clothing and then do the nasty with
her.
She further claims she repressed the memories until a psychological
counseling session in 2012 yanked them from the depths of her psyche so she had
the notes (hmmm, debatable this one), and so has the proof.
This line of reasoning makes me cringe a bit because it
sounds like it is little more than a steaming pile of fresh bull crap. Sorry, I know we are supposed to believe the
victims as if we do not, we are no better than Harvey Weinstein and every other
POS destroyed by the #MeToo movement but hey, the story is a bit too much for
me- ¿lo entiendes?
Here is what I think: Judge Kavanaugh seems like a nice guy,
like he is an extremely conservative,
God-fearing man (as we should all be-
God-fearing that is). This story sounds
more to me like she was the one who
came onto him and when he either backed away and took off or did not take her
up on her offer, earned her animosity and perpetual hatred for the rest of
eternity.
Every man knows a woman or women like this, women who troll
their ‘wares’ to see if we will bite like a catfish going after a hunk of
hotdog. Most men, as they grow older,
unless overpowered by their libido and relying on the little blue pill avoid
skanks such as this. The grass is NEVER
greener on the other side no matter how much one believes it to be.
Now, I understand that in saying this, some on my side of the
aisle- notably the women with hairy
armpits and legs who prance
around with the pink pussy hats atop their heads (so dignified)- are going to
slam me with insults. Hence why we never mention our businesses because
FREE SPEECH can earn one the lifelong enmity of the left, which is never good.
Amigos, if anyone thought the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh
was going to be easy, surrender that thought because we are on the cusp of
Clarence Thomas-Anita Hill Round No. 2, updated for the current crop of leftist
losers who do not understand that things should NEVER be this way.
Please, make sure you join me over at the secondary blog as
we will continue the story over there.
Thanks.
Muchas gracias, buen amigos!

As have the rest of my
colleagues, local Bakersfield street artist, Simone, created these portraits of
me that you will see over successive days here at the blog. I guess Simone did ‘okay’ in capturing my likeness;
I guess it could have been worse. I was
a young cook back in the early 1960's when I commenced my culinary career. I served underneath a Master Chef for many
years before striking out on my own. I
went up the coast of the Western United States and Canada, working all the way,
until I made it to Alaska. From there, I
moved to Hawaii for a couple of years (1994-1997) before I returned to
Washington State and it was there that I met Stinkbug.
El Chilote writes from Shafter, California.
El Chilote is a moderate Democrat.

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:
Ian Gillan released another ‘blast from the past,’ “Sole Agency and Representation,” (September 1994) with the band he performed with in the early 1960s, the Javelins. Now, the Javelins NEVER made a record, which is phenomenal, but the members reunited around the vocalist and recorded an amazing album of rock-and-roll covers. The lineup includes Ian Gillan (vocals, harmonica), Gordon Fairminer (lead guitar), Tony Tacon (rhythm guitar), Tony Whitfield (bass), and Keith Roach (drums). The music rocks and is worth a prolonged listen so please, use the link we provide you here so you can visit Amazon.com where you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you- you will enjoy it.
SPECIAL ALBUMS OF THE DAY:
Monday, December 26, 2011 Blog Post:
The Grateful Dead’s one-hundred-and-fifteenth album, “The Warner Brothers’ Studio Albums,” was released on September 21, 2010 and was another great “Best Of” Collection! We love it and think you will, too, so go out and buy it by using the handy link to Amazon.com, the world’s largest online retailer and get it now! You won’t be disappointed! Thank you, the Elemental News of the Day.
Saturday, February 08, 2014 Blog Post:
The Grass Roots released their third effort, “Feelings” in February 1967 and it featured the same lineup as their sophomore effort: Rob Grill (bass and vocals), Warren Entner (guitars, organ, and vocals), Rick Coonce (drums and percussion), and Creed Bratton (guitars, vocals). Joining them in the effort were most of the musicians that worked on their freshman effort and the single, “Midnight Confessions,” rocketed to the top of the charts and remained there for a while. This is a superlative effort that demonstrated the band was evolving and becoming one of the longest lasting groups in rock history (albeit with an ‘evolving cast of musicians’ down the road). Please, use the link we provide you here so you can pick it up at Amazon.com where you can get it in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you.
