THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CULINARY POLITICS-ELEMENTAL NEWS OF THE DAY COMMENTARY-OPINION-SPORTS-FOOD SERVICE FOR FRIDAY, AUGUST 17, 2018 BY CHEF BRIAN C. CARRICK

SUMMER SESSION 2018

BLOG POST #2,847 AT THE AICP-END

EIGHTY-TWO DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

Omarosa, I know your type- you are afflicted with bi-polar disorder and have no clue the amount of self-caused damage you are doing
Weedpatch, CA, 08-17-2018 Friday: Is Omarosa Manigault-Newman a slut-bag or what?  This poor, misguided skank (is that racist?) seems to be one of those pathetic souls given opportunity after opportunity to become part of something and achieve great results who will, time and again, cut off their own nose to spite their face as my mother used to say.
Originally, the American people came to know Omarosa as a bully and as a bitch on the highly successful (when Donald Trump ran it) reality TV show, “The Apprentice,” and everyone was happy to see her fired not just once but I believe four flipping times.
A person does not get terminated that many times by the same ‘employer’ so it means that that individual is problematic and a pain-in-the-ass with which to work.  I know I suffered some setbacks in my career, especially at the best job I ever had in my life, working at the world-famous Stockdale Country Club in Bakersfield, California.
Back in those days, although culinarily gifted, I was a difficult person with whom to work as having had a mental breakdown two years earlier and put on lithium carbonate, my lifelong depression disappeared but the manic side remained with me for years.
Mania can be a wonderful fellow traveler; but it also can cause lifelong problems
Do not fail to understand what I am saying, I loved the manic side, it allowed me to accomplish great things and go far but in relationships, both on and off the job (other than with my fellow chefs with the exception of the head chef), things were a bit more challenging.
I had awesome friends, people I loved and who are gone or whom I haven’t seen in decades.  I was close to the executive sous chef, Augustine Salazar, but diabetes claimed him not long after the turn of the century.  His loss was saddening.
There were others to whom I was close but they are long gone, somewhere in the wind around the nation.  The person to whom I feel I owe the biggest debt is also gone, passed away a few years ago, Executive Chef Juan Aguirre, a man I both loved and was in competition with, although it was his ‘house’ and I should have been more respectful.  Bi-polar disorder is an ugly beast.
I wished I had done things better by him but it is what it is, folks.  I suspect it is the same with President Donald J. Trump and former outreach to the black community advisor, Omarosa.  For someone to pen a book entitled, “Unhinged,” and then blast the President with all manner of false and phony accusations is sad as it seems that Mr. Trump did far more for her and her career than this callous, disrespectful bitch deserved.
Making surreptitious voice recordings in the White House is something that will haunt you throughout whatever professional life you hope to have, Omarosa
Imagine making surreptitious voice recordings of White House Chief of Staff General John Kelly as he was terminating her and then others in which, she claims the President is ‘so out of touch’ as Mr. Trump acted as though he did not know she was booted from the White House.
As someone who behaved in more or less the same way at one time before I bested my illness, I can see in Omarosa the same type of behavioral traits that bedeviled me for decades.  She is the author of her own disaster, not President Trump or anyone else within the White House now or then, which is why her writing this book and hawking it on various left-wing TV shows is so sad.
What is happening to President Trump is not unusual among Republican presidents; who remembers former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan?
It seems that Republican presidents have these types of problems.  I think those with a lengthy memory remember White House press secretary for President George W. Bush, Scott McClellan, who took over from Ari Fleischer and whom Tony Snow replaced.
For some reason, Mr. McClellan, the longest-serving press secretary for the Bush #43 administration stepped down after working for the Mr. Bush from the 2000 Presidential Campaign and then as the top dog from 2003 to 2006.  It was clear that he was suffering under the repeated hammerings on a daily basis that seem to be the plight of any White House press secretary so he threw in the towel and left.
That was not the negative issue associated with Mr. McClellan, who now is the Vice President for Communications at Seattle University.  No, he wrote a book entitled, “What Happened” that hit book store shelves in 2008 and which, trashed his former boss to no end in one of the greatest displays of disloyalty ever seen.
Like Scott McClellan, Omarosa will be in the limelight for 3-4 weeks; after that, she will disappear from view, ruined forever by her surprising lack of loyalty to someone who gave them everything
Of course, the liberal Democrat enemies of President George W. Bush lapped it up like a gay boy in a San Francisco bath house lapping up, well, you get the picture, and McClellan became in demand for every ‘fake news show’ on MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and whatever other cable and TV news shows leaning left.
The main dagger he stuck in the back of his former boss was the idea that the ‘Iraq War’ was some sort of deception, that the intel was manufactured and falsified, and that our fighting-men-and-women did all manner of bad things as Democrat critics accused them of doing.
McClellan’s time in the spotlight did not last very long and within a month of doing nonstop, whirlwind television interviews to promote his book, he dropped out of sight.  I suspect that “Unhinged” by Omarosa will suffer the same fate and that she also will disappear from sight, which is entirely fitting.
Like me, she will be too full of her own self-importance that she will fail to see that the person whom she is driving a spike into their head has been good to her, good for her, and would have continued doing good deeds and favors for her that she will become a diminishing voice of protest of which, no one is going to give a flip.
While not too late to change the error of your ways, I seriously doubt that Omarosa is open to being critiqued by someone who’s been there and done it
Omarosa, you do not know me nor will you ever but if you ever see my post and read it, perhaps it will drive you to repair the lifelong damage to YOU that your crazy actions are causing.  There is no reason to be the bitch you are, yet you will keep on doing it and then wonder why NO one likes or wants to be around you.
Yes, she is an ignorant bitch.  Enjoy the limelight while you have it as when it goes away, you will be done like an overcooked piece of sausage.

Due to increasingly strident threats from our ‘admirers,’ we have had local street artist Simone do cartoon caricatures of each of us and this one is mine; way to go there Simone, way to go.  As professionals and as business owners, we seek to protect our identities and our businesses from intimidation and harm, hence the new artwork.  Ah, well, I began my culinary career in 1969 bussing tables at age 12 and became a cook's apprentice in 1973 at age 17. I have worked all over California, Hawaii, Washington State, and even a brief time in Arizona
