WINTER SESSION 2017-18

BLOGPOST #2,674 AT THE AICP-END

TWO HUNDRED-AND-FIFTY-FOUR DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

We conclude the sordid tale we began yesterday about Diversified Consultants and how to beat them
Bakersfield, CA, 02-25-2018 Sunday:  Yesterday, I began the story of my friend’s son, a poor fellow who made the mistake of getting into a relationship with a woman little better than an illegal alien whore more than 17 years ago.  Apparently to make his life miserable, she used his mother’s phone number (this is how big a bitch the woman was) as a ‘contact number on credit applications,’ applications that when she then got credit, burned them.  Searching for her, they call the son’s mother’s number looking for this woman, which has driven him and his family crazy.
One would think that when a potential credit customer completes and then submits the application, either in person or online, that the person charged with determining whether they will extend credit, or they will not would call that number FIRST.  Call it FIRST- what a novel idea as if they did and discovered it was phony, they could stop losing money big time before it even gets to that point.  DUH!
Diversified Consultants Inc. called the son of my friend for two months solid, every weekday, sometimes 2-3, even 4 times but for sure always called him at least once- just letting you know we haven’t forgotten about you, you frigging putz
He had an answering machine message on the phone, ‘leave your full name, a legitimate callback number, and a detailed message and someone will either pick up or will call you back.’  No one ever did so he never responds.
He recognized the same numbers over and over, so he called each of them until he found out they emanated from a company called Diversified Consultants Inc.  After two months, he blocked each number so after one ring, the numbers go into a digitized file connected with the phone that records them and when used with the developmental software shows where the numbers originate to the floor of the building.
After a while, just the fact that they were coming in nonstop, he did different things.  He would call-forward them to dead numbers or we call-forward them to Mexican bars, or he would call-forward them back to Diversified Consultants as a laugh.
One day, his phone company called him to see if his number was still in service because someone—Diversified Consultants obviously—had called to see if it was truly out of order or simply off the hook.
He explained the situation and the So. Cal. Telephone employee said, ‘first, contact the federal Do-Not-Call Registry and file a complaint as even debt collectors are restricted by rules and regulations and second, go to your attorney if you have one as every state has specific laws that these forms of human garbage must follow.’
He went to his attorney and began building his case.  The lawyer urged him to be patient as the company through its constant ongoing barrage of phone calls could and would be charged with harassment at some point.  The attorney also urged him NEVER to answer as debt skunks in California must have an ‘open door’ (like a vampire in the old Hollywood classics) through which to come.
The attorney also acknowledged that the friend’s son had a special issue with them since the debt collectors were not searching for HIM but for someone they believed he might know. In California, debt becomes uncollectible after FOUR years.
However, to argue with them on the phone would be to invite another attempt at freezing his accounts but the legal authority surmised that because of what happened to the first one back in 2003 (see yesterday’s post), they would not make the same mistake twice as credit collection agencies detest losing, especially ones working from out-of-state too lazy to send a human being to one’s door.
The barrage of calls continues, and the tally keeps creeping up.  The lawyer says that soon they will launch the lawsuit and will hammer the scumbags and wrangle a larger settlement out of them than the first company’s.  The lawyer also advised the son to visit the constituent services of his local congressional representative and seek his aid in smashing Diversified Consultants Inc.
The most important thing to remember is that when dealing with human refuse such as debt collectors, always use a screening service on your phone.  If you are in doubt as to whom is calling you all the time or if telephone numbers all have a similarity such as the same or near prefix, use a VOIP or a payphone and determine who it is who’s calling you.
Look them up online and ascertain exactly what the company does and then when you have, give them a month or so to answer the message you have on your phone’s answering machine
When they fail to do so but continue calling, block the numbers and use other phones.  Make sure you maintain a diary and that you provide it to your legal representative and to the congressional representative’s office for when the time arrives to incur action against the malodorous trash pestering you.
I know the son of my friend has fantasized about putting his military training to effective use, filling a U-Haul truck to the gills with nitrogen-based fertilizer, explosives, and a timer and driving it through the front doors of one of the debt collector’s facilities and lighting them up but why waste one’s life when you can force them to pay?
Friends, I will see you sometime later in the year but for those of you bothered by scum such as Diversified Consultants, there is light at the end of the tunnel and it is for YOU and never for the c**ksuckers in the debt collection agency.
Moreover, each state has different laws so make sure you apprise yourself as to what they are before acting against them—do it right.  Down in Florida, their home state, there is a website devoted to fighting these slime-balls- Florida Debt Fighters at 813-221-0500 and I am sure similar companies exist in every state to provide justice to the abused.
See you next time.  Please, leave comments and we will discuss them.  Diversified Consultants, don’t bother, we will never speak to you but who knows?  Maybe someone will drive a ‘special delivery’ through your front door one day—now that would be cool—just kidding.
Keep the faith.
