If Eli Manning chooses to remain with the NY Giants, maybe the team can make it to the Super Bowl in 2019 and face the New England Patriots yet again and get the hat trick

PEARL HARBOR DAY—NEVER FORGET!

FALL SESSION 2017

BLOGPOST #2,593 AT THE AICP-END

THREE HUNDRED-AND-THIRTY-THREE DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAYS 2018

This past Tuesday, I was on the mark, just did not know it but the New York Giants sure as heck fired Coach Ben McAdoo and General Manager Jerry Reese- about time!
Century City, CA, 12-07-2017 Thursday: Today is a solemn day, one we can never ever forget.  This is the day back in 1941 that Japanese war planes swooped down over the assembled U.S. Navy warships on Battleship Row in Pearl Harbor.  Over the next hour or so, most of the capital ships went to the bottom or suffered enormous destruction.  This attack propelled the United States into World War II against not only the Japanese but also the Nazis, the Fascist Italians, and their lesser allies.
That said, this past Tuesday I mentioned the sad saga of Eli Manning and how less than a day after they benched their star quarterback, Coach Ben McAdoo drove the New York Giants into the crapper along with the General Manager Jerry Reese.
Having replaced Manning with Geno Smith, the fans became outraged, not only at how horrible the coach had transformed a season that MANY predicted would see the Giants in the Super Bowl, possibly meeting the New England Patriots for a third time, but also at the fact that their beloved team now lived in the basement of basements.
Firing the dimwits McAdoo and the GM Reese will not repair the damage done to Eli Manning who has NEVER missed a start in 13 seasons.  It would seem to most astute observers that the time to terminate McAdoo was prior to benching Manning rather than after because the team owners and management can NEVER repair the damage done to a future Hall of Fame player.
If Eli chooses to leave the crumbling Giants next year, a couple of teams come to mind where his services might be very valuable, one of the teams a place where his brother Peyton found refuge and success following the idiotic decision of the Indianapolis Colts to let him go in favor of troglodyte, Andrew Luck.
That team is the Denver Broncos, a team in desperate need of a five-star quarterback because the tandem quarterback situation there, playing whoever is healthy and seemingly understands the game plan is not getting things done.
A team can have one of the top defenses in the league but the longer they remain on the field because the offense cannot get the job done without making some major changes on offense.
Eli would be a monumentally smart addition to the team and who knows?  Perhaps the Giants could find a way to return to the Super Bowl next year with Eli at the head and go against the frigging Patriots as most likely until Tom Brady either suffers a severe injury or decides to hang up the cleats, they will be there year after year after year.
Sadly, it won’t be quite the same for Eli Manning to face off against Tom Brady and the Patriots if the team going up against Brady and the Pats is NOT the New York Giants.
You see, many contend that Brady has been loath to retire until he has a chance to meet Eli Manning and the Giants one more time and somehow beat them into submission, so he can make up for the two times that Eli and the Giants bested him.
Jiminy Cricket, folks, Tom Brady may still be in the game at age 45 or 50 because he wants to avenge the two Super Bowl losses and go out on a high note- “I finally beat frigging Eli Manning and his damned Giants in a Super Bowl!”
That is going to do it for today, folks, I appreciate you joining me today and let us recall the brave Americans who gave their lives at Pearl Harbor 76 years ago.  If you ever go to Oahu, make sure you take the trip out to the Arizona Memorial as it is a solemn, moving experience.  Every American should go there just as we should the 9-11 Memorial in New York City.
See you tomorrow.

This is a photo of me at an ACF Convention back in the early 1960's when I was a representative from our California chapter.  Anyhow, I am a great deal older than this picture now but that's what we're doing, sharing OLD pictures of all of us.  I am still a handsome man, however!

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 07, 2017

The Moody Blues released their final album of the 1980’s, “Sur La Mer,” (June 06, 1988) an album critics hail as a return to form and away from the over-polished “The Other Side of Life.”  As we have mentioned, for bands from the 1960’s, the 1980’s were a challenging time as punk, techno-pop, and all sorts of other forms of pop music pushed venerable acts to the edge of extinction—even groups such as the Rolling Stones, Who, and the Kinks, for God’s Sake.  The band delivered a hot album with this one and it did very well in the charts and kept them on the road doing performances around the world.  We love this CD as will you so please seek it out by using our link.  When you use it, it will deliver you to the world’s greatest online marketplace, Amazon.com.  Once there, you can get it however you want it and in a price, that fits your budget.  We thank you.
