THE ‘NEW LEFT’ IS THE MAINSTREAM LEFT—all of them are crazy
Century City, CA, 06-13-2017 Tuesday:  Everyone who reads this blog with any regularity understands that each chef-blogger here shares his or her opinions under assumed names.  We do this simply because in this highly-charged political era in our country, those of us who own businesses and hope to keep them find the need to use pen names and vary some of our personal history so we can continue being restaurant owners without suffering retaliation from those with whom we might disagree.   
The sad thing is this- we should all be able to share our opinions no matter how much others detest them because this is what the Founders blessed every single American with, the right to speak one’s mind without fear that some crazed nut will throw a firebomb into one’s business, home or place of worship. 
Unfortunately, the NEW LEFT or what I will refer to as the MAINSTREAM LEFT as there is no distinguishing feature between either component of this crazy political philosophy as I now see almost all of them as nuts. 
As someone who was a leftist for decades, I can see them for who and what they are and they are ill-disposed to the founding of the United States and all for which, it stands.  They want to overthrow the established order and to put in place a dictatorship of the people, which never seems to work out well for the folks they claim to want to help. 
Modern educated theorists such as myself see a comparison between the French Revolution and what the MAINSTREAM LEFT intends for us should they somehow become successful in their intent to overthrow the government and the established order. 
There is a difference between the French elites of the late 1700s and those who through arduous work, and blood, sweat and tears have managed to achieve the position of the wealthiest 10-percent here in the United States. 
In France, the wealthy were the royalty, the landed elites or the aristocracy, and the Roman Catholic Church.  (Note, I am a Roman Catholic myself so if I say anything against the Church, I have the right to do so). 
There, yes, indeed, the wealthy one-percent oppressed the common working folks, taxes were high, food costs were exorbitant, housing costs out of this world, and life expectancy low. 
When the nation was suffering from the costs of frequent wars and failing crops, the poor saw that everyone serving the government in one capacity or another or were atop them because of bloodlines, the people became outraged and determined to find a way to rectify the quality of life forced upon them. 
France composed itself with three classes- the First Estate was the Church, the Second State was the aristocrats, and the Third Estate were everyone else.  (Here in the United States, we add a Fourth Estate—the mainstream media who sleep happily in the same bed with those who hate freedom of speech, the press, and religion).
In France in 1787, taxation is the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back as the cost of aiding the Americans in their revolution against the British caused the government to borrow vast sums of money to finance not only the wars but the cost of funding government. 
Outraged at the level of taxation already, the common folks became angrier and wanted things to change but as the current structure stood, that was never going to happen, the wealthy would continue grinding the poor into dust. 
Therefore, the people began to express their outrage and a weak King Louis XVI succumbed to allowing a reestablishment of the Estates General, the governmental body which an earlier King Louis had closed in 1614, determining that he no longer required advisory from the people.
Insofar as Louis XVI allowed new elections to allow the commoners a greater voice, he set in motion a series of events that would eventually topple him from office and place France in a terrible state, much like what happened in Iran when the Ayatollah Khomeini returned home in 1979 and revolutionaries toppled the Shah.
The problem is, the United States does not resemble in any way what the people of France suffered under nor does it resemble Iran.  The French Roman Catholic Church owned approximately 10-percent of the land while the landed nobility owned another 25-percent of the land outright, simply because they were the descendants of those who fought for a unified France during the Middle Ages. 
Here in the United States, it is not the wealthy nor the Church that owns vast amounts of land but the Federal government, an entity that controls up to 28-percent of ALL land within the country, both surface and subsurface, more so in the west than in the east.  
Yet, the little leftist snowflakes out there protesting everything ‘Trump’ in the streets and across the nation on college campuses or anywhere else they believe the American people should hear know little to none of this.  All we hear are the continued cries about the ‘evil one-percent’ who keep them under their bootheels and control their lives, something I happily dispute. 
Communism in whatever form it manifests itself is a failed political philosophy created by a pair of degenerates who despised the fact that others might ‘have it all’ while they had nothing.  The truth is, Karl Marx did not work very much over the course of his lifetime and when he did work, he typically lost the job or was shoved out with force because of his inability to follow orders. 
Not wishing to slam what I do here at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, nevertheless, I will—in a way.  If Karl Marx were alive today and working with his good friend and companion, Friedrich Engels, the two would be bloggers on the Internet peddling their garbage to willing ears and eyes. 
They, however, would be unlike THIS blog, one that allows culinary professionals to share OPINIONS and not promote a failed, murderous political philosophy—communism—that will never work but which, its practitioners and true believers HOPE will work. 
We will continue this discussion tomorrow as I think it is important that someone such as me, educated, intelligent, and what I would I would call an ‘enlightened culinary professional’ takes the time out to educate the young, the dumb, and the snowflake bums with knowledge I have gained through self-education, watchfulness, and constant learning. 
Someone must do it so I hope that you will join me here tomorrow and over at the secondary blog tomorrow, too.  I also hope that you will exercise your rights as capitalists to investigate the wonderful music by the Guess Who or one of its spin-off groups or individual members (when we arrive at that point). 
Having seen the Guess Who during the early 1970s, I can tell you, they were an amazing group and deserve ownership by you, the fans we educate daily here at our blog.  Compared with modern-day music, one can immediately hear the quality and the oozing talent of older stars when put up next to the current crop of, uh, how would I say it, “bulls**t.”  LOL
