WINTER SESSION 2017

BLOGPOST #2,299 AT THE AICP-END

ONE HUNDRED-AND-TWENTY DAYS AFTER ELECTION DAY

Still looking for answers to problems vexing our two blogs…
Honolulu, HI, 03-08-2017 Wednesday: Sometimes, one wonders WHY they do the things they do such as posting articles here at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day.  First, we face discrimination—that is right, I used the big “D” word and am not talking about a man’s ‘dangler,’ you naughty, naughty lolos—from the host who constantly keeps our blog from appearing as it should.
Second, we also face other problems online as some unknown entity continually crashes our Web browsers—especially Google Chrome, which at one time was the measuring stick for all other Web browsers—and there is no understanding WHY.
The thing that is so fascinating about the outside intrusions and interference is the fact that on the Administration side of the blog, we are in the eye of the storm, no problem working on or within the blog but go to look at it and KA-POW—we get those annoying ‘error messages.’
Now, one of the little secrets I will let you in on is the fact that when one of us, liberals, here at the blog steps up and has a week, typically the interference is not as problematic as it is when a Republican or conservative blogger takes the stage.  I guess that should tell us something but still—even we libs believe EVERYONE has a right to express his, her, or its opinion and that is how we roll here at the blog.
One day, we hope we discover the Menehunes responsible for f**king with our two blogs because it makes no sense to persecute one’s opinions even if you do not like them because believe you me, we don’t like the opinions of numerous others who seem to spout hate with every movement of their nasty-looking lips.
This is why we are always in search of new and interesting CHEF-bloggers, we want opinionated chefs to express and to share their opinions here and note- we do not expect you to edit your own work, either Mo or Roland will do the dirty work and put your opinions into readable order.
The other thing you need to know if you decide to come to the blog and share your opinions is that NONE of us gets a paycheck.
That is right, we do not have a massive inflow of cash coming into the blog, whatever we get from advertising revenues or from the sale of the CDs, we advertise here every day goes back into keeping the product up-and-running.
Now, I have a great way for Google Blogger to make ends meet and to allow ALL opinions to have a stage upon which, to share them.  Why not charge a monthly fee, something akin to $10 a month, or more for unlimited storage and all the bells and whistles that makes reading something fun.
In addition to the ‘fix’ mentioned in the preceding paragraph, how about Google Blogger having an actual HELP site that can help bloggers understand, and to fix their problems, or to find out why, the host screws them in the ass for NO apparent reason.
You see, that would be good and people blogging on your platforms would probably pay you the $10 fee per month and do it with smiles on their faces instead of seeking a hit man or woman to ‘take care of business’—just kidding on that last part.
I think Google Blogger could follow the route laid out by either Go Daddy.com or through Word Press.  Both sites offer myriad ways in which, talented people (like us) and not so talented people (like Breitbart.com) can express themselves without fear of closure.
I guess what I am saying is that if one spends years working on a site to make it all it can be and then to have the host say, “F**K you, we are closing you down” for no apparent reason, it makes one go ballistic and want to pull his or her hair out of their heads.
Back in 2014 when Google Blogger shut us down for a week, there was NO explanation whatsoever as to WHY we rated the axe.  Had Stinkbug not bugged them 10-20 times per day, we might never have had our blog restored but in so doing, we ended up with TWO blogs upon which, we labor every day.
Stinkbug had already been through it with our old site, Choseit.com, a site that gave him a marvelous blog and then one day following 10 days of vacation, he returned to find the blog closed with no explanation whatsoever.
He expressed his confusion, anger and outrage and thought that when he came to Google, Google would treat us fairly, which they have for most part.
However, when they allow our site to suffer hacking or to suffer repeated ‘error attacks,’ it is clear that they either are behind it or they have malevolent intent as to our varied political philosophies.
Friends, we would love to recruit more chef-bloggers to join us, people who have unique points of view and who also can write a mean recipe when and if they so choose to join us.
Moreover, we cannot promise you that our host is not going to shut us down or will make our page invisible for half the day—if not longer—but what we can promise you is a stage upon which to express them.
Friends, I think that is going to do it for today; I appreciate everyone joining us and remember that we now have a Twitter account solely for our blog.  The site is @AICP_END_BLOG, or something such as that.
Granted, we might not spend ALL day on there as does Donald Trump but we try to do enough of it to build a presence.
I will see you tomorrow here at 12:01 A.M. PST and over at the secondary blog today.  Make sure you join me here through Sunday and at the art blog once you finish reading what I have said here.
Again, if anyone has any answers, PLEASE, share them with us because we are simple chefs and not big Internet moguls.  Thanks and God bless—aloha!
