WINTER SESSION 2017

BLOGPOST #2,266 AT THE AICP-END

EIGHTY-SEVEN DAYS AFTER ELECTION DAY

The Democrats are the architects of their own disaster
Arvin, CA, 02-03-2017 Friday: As you—who join us on a regular basis—should know, this is but my second week of authoring posts here at the main blog.  I joined ‘the party’ several years ago, first serving on the board, and then becoming the editor-in-chief when Mo began having the health issues that he did.  Therefore, I do not have a massive body of published opinions as Stinky, Mo, and the rest of the writing staff do, which is why I have attempted to make them known to the readership throughout this week.
I am a lifelong Democrat, became one decades ago because mom and dad—along with my grandparents on both sides—were Democrats.  However, I was never a shallow, egghead liberal that people easily make fun off, no; I was a workingman in a ‘white collar job’ with ‘blue-collar sensitivities.’  That is what being a professional chef is all about, the workingman-and-woman going to work seven days a week and sometimes working 16-18 hours per day.
Since the days of Bill Clinton and even George W. Bush, things somehow began to go astray as I watched MY party veer harder and harder left to the point I no longer recognized it.  Do not get me wrong, folks, I will NEVER become a Republican, but I am a conservative blue dog Democrat.
When people ask me why I had some disillusions with the Obama administration, I asked them, “Are you clueless?  Do you not see the damage the tax policies, the Affordable Care Act, environmental laws, and even the ongoing wars he said he would end or never wage are destroying the remnants of the American Dream?”
Some became immediately hostile to my views, called me a traitor and a scumbag.  They said hurtful things about my family tree, called me a dunce, a bonehead, and an idiot to which, I said little to nothing.  One cannot educate the uneducable and sadly, that seems to be the case with the younger generation of Democrat voters, you know, the foot soldiers.
This is why I think we now see the end of the party looming on a stormy horizon.  If my fellow Democrats do not get back to fighting for the working class folks, President Trump is going to wrest the group away along with the white voters, people combatting massive tax burdens, and those seeking to run profitable businesses.
The Dem leadership does give voice to the idea that ‘small business owners are the backbone of the economy’ yet they continue to punish us and to drive us out of business through the constant imposition of onerous tax laws, unnecessary rules and regulations, and the demand to raise the minimum wage.
Here in California, I find it increasingly difficult to run profitable businesses because the fools running the state living it up in Sacramento could care less about us.  Fifteen bucks an hour for minimum wage?  Seriously?  You have to be kidding me and this is why I am in the process of exploring moving my businesses to the Lone Star State or to Arizona.
Were it not for the government breathing down our backs, there is NO way I would ever pay an entry level position—bus person, dishwasher, pot washer, or cleaning personnel $15 flipping dollars an hour.  A person should never plan to live on minimum wage, no; he or she should plan on moving up as quickly as possible through hard work, determination, and a drive to succeed.
Instead, we seldom get American kids or adults returning to the workforce but instead get illegal alien after illegal alien seeking the jobs.  There is no way I will EVER pay an illegal $15 an hour, even if Sacramento sends its labor goons to check on me and to see why I am failing to do what the law requires.
At some point, hardworking business owners are going to toss in the towel and abandon the state for greener pastures somewhere else as there is no way in which, we can continue meeting all of the gobbledygook the pursy politicians living it up in Sacramento force upon us.
Moreover, the entire state is going to blow and when it does, the state will return to being the conservative, Republican-controlled, economic ‘eleventh wonder of the world’ it once was.
As I have stated over the course of this week, the problem with OUR party is that we have far too many fossils running the show.  Dianne Feinstein should retire as quickly as possible and someone 40 years younger should consider running for her seat.
Likewise, Kamala Harris is not going to do any of us any good if she continues toeing the far left agenda as in so doing, it is going to one day open the door to the GOP.
The problem we have is that we know we have about 2.5-4 million illegals gumming up the works here, siphoning off every available resource from an ever-diminishing pot, which puts all of us native-born folks here at risk.
When President Trump and his Justice Department probe into illegals voting hits pay dirt and the criminal actions of our party leaders becomes known, the good things Sacramento has done are going to disappear beneath a cloud of accusation, doubt, and eventual punishment.
This is WHY I hope MY party awakens from its deep slumber.  We stand to lose many of the great things we have accomplished as the new sheriff cracks down on all of the illegal and questionable things our state Democrats have done.
Furthermore, if we want to prevent California from becoming a red state again and maybe causing Oregon and Washington to follow in its footsteps, we had better begin making things right.
As for the bad things such as wasting money on an unwanted bullet train, forcing business owners to pay $15 an hour, over-taxation, excessive rules, and regulations, it needs to stop.
What’s more, we also need to halt higher energy costs through the closing of nuclear power plants and forcing the taxpayers to pay for alternative forms of cost-prohibitive energy; we are going to wave farewell to all of our accomplishments as an irredentist GOP recovers lost territory.  Do we want this?  I would think not but it is precisely what we are going to get as early as next year.
Friends, thank you for joining me today, I appreciate your spending a minute or two checking out the fine work we do here.
Moreover, I also urge you to look into the extraordinary music we promote here at both blogs because when you compare it to modern-day crap, it makes you wish you were born back when I was born—we had amazing music!
