BLOGPOST #2,227 AT THE AICP-END

FORTY-EIGHT DAYS AFTER ELECTION DAY

NEW YEAR’S EVE WEEK EDITION 2016

Hello and welcome to the day after Christmas—MERRY CHRISTMAS, libs!
Valencia, CA, 12-26-2016 Monday: I hope everyone had a marvelous Christmas holiday yesterday!  I know that my family and I sure did and from here on out through the end of the year, we celebrate Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.  Here at the crossroads of ‘Canyon Country,’ the road west to Ventura, north to Bakersfield, south to Los Angeles and here at Magic Mountain, all is well.  Traffic flows in all directions around the clock, which is as it should be.
I have to say, I am glad the election now is over and yet, the bawl babies on the left side of the aisle continue to moan, groan, and to show how flaming stupid they are.  Now, it is ‘the Russians’ who ‘stole the election’ just as it is the influence of the ‘alt-right,’ whatever the F**K that is, and of course, angry white men howling at the moon.
I have to say that I am so glad that the left suffered a devastating defeat just as I am that Barack Obama is on the way out and if you ask me, he cannot get out of town quickly enough.  Unfortunately, we all know the SOB does not plan to leave town anytime soon because he plans to remain—ostensibly until youngest daughter is out of school—so he can criticize the next president around the clock.
I hope that President Donald J. Trump will use some of President Frank Underwood’s tactics from “House of Cards,” an amazing TV show that I believe shows how Washington D.C. functions as close as possible.
I also think they base the Underwood character on Obama—don’t tell anyone I said this because I do not want the grief.  That said I hope that the new president is going to find a way to silence Obama along with some of his other critics in a way that none of them will forget anytime soon.
I am an old man, I have been around for a long, long time and back in MY day, when a president left office, he left office and did not come back and slam his successor.
However, we all know that Barack Obama is unlike any other president we have ever seen before and the loser continues trying to cement the crumbling blocks of his ‘legacy’ into place even as he prepares to leave office.
What the heck can we as patriotic, loyal Americans do in a situation such as the one we know is going to unfold and soon?  I am not sure but have faith that we will discuss it throughout the better part of this week.  However, I have a job I must finish today and that is the presentation of the music of the Climax Blues Band.
Chef Olaf spent four days last week sharing their music with the readership, which is grand because we spent time over at the secondary blog presenting their music earlier in the year.
You see, we always try to share different groups over there such as the Moody Blues, then the Climax Blues Band, and now, Roxy Music.  We do try to integrate the music over to this blog so this one has EVERYTHING, which is what we are going to finish today.
Here we go:
Wednesday, August 10, 2016:

The Climax Blues Band released another classic live album in 2013, “Live at Rockpalast 1976.”  Some in the ‘Rockpalast’ series are good while others suffer some recording issues and this album is somewhat of the latter.  However, the band is at their peak here and the tunes smoke the listener’s ears, which is why we hope you will use the link we provide you here.  You do it so you can journey across time and space (the Internet) to Amazon.com where you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works for you—you will be so glad you did.

Wednesday, August 17, 2016:

The Climax Blues Band released another live album in 2014, “Live, Rare & Raw 1973-1976.”  There is no doubt whatsoever in the minds of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day that this 4-CD package is well worth the price and then some.  If you want to hear one of the finest blues-rock bands out of Britain during the 1970s, then this is an important album for the dedicated fan and the first-time listener to add to his or her collection.  Please, use the link we provide you here so you can zip on over to Amazon.com and pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for YOU.  You will be so glad you did.

Wednesday, August 24, 2016:

The Climax Blues Band released a two-CD package, “Live at the BBC 1978” in 2015.  Now some people moan and groan that the band was going ‘commercial’ by this point but folks, even fans of Led Zeppelin accused THEM of ‘selling out’ at times just as fans of the Rolling Stones have on occasion.  Our opinion here at the blog is that like it or not, bands change over time and they move in different directions.  If the past has you in its clutches—you know the 1960s or the 1970s—you may not like it but WE do.  Please, use the link we provide you here so you can go to Amazon.com and pick it up there in whatever form works for you—we know you will love it if you just open your ears and let the music inundate your brain.

Wednesday, August 31, 2016:

The Climax Blues Band released an album by Pete Haycock and his guitarist friend, Robin George, entitled, “Broke Heart Blues” in 2015.  The two collaborated with other musicians to knock out the blues a final time as Haycock’s health was not where it should be and in fact, he died from the results of a heart attack on October 30, 2013 at the age of 62.  The album came out posthumously and is one that all fans of the band definitely need to own, as it is superlative, a masterpiece—at least, we think so.  Please, use the link we provide you here so you can go to Amazon.com and pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works for YOU.  We guarantee you will be glad you did.
Since this is my second week of the year, which everyone else has done, I think when we come to Thursday through Sunday, we will present another band—possibly Roxy Music for as far as we have over at the secondary blog—since it will be a slow news week.
Everyone who reads this and the art blog knows that over the years, we have moved from food presentations to saying what we need to say about national and global events as well as hammering out the political issues of the day.
I think we can all rest assured that NEXT year, the real battles will begin as Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats do everything in their power (and then some) to derail the Trump administration.  I do not think they have the scones to do it nor do they have the political capital, as the Dems are indeed a dying party.  L
I say, let us help them die a little bit faster if we can—are you with me?
Thanks for spending your time with me today; I will see you all tomorrow.  Happy Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, folks—we will reconvene tomorrow—see you then.
