FALL SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #2,207 AT THE AICP-END

TWENTY-EIGHT DAYS AFTER ELECTION DAY

For those who slam Donald J. Trump for being ‘ignorant’ as to how the world works, I say “BULLS**T!”
Los Angeles, CA, 12-06-2016 Tuesday:  Four weeks post-Election Day and the liberals continue going whacko.  One of the latest flaps President-elect Donald J. Trump has committed surrounds the phone call from the president of Taiwan—once among our strongest allies from World War II—to Mr. Trump, purportedly a congratulatory phone call on his victory.

One of the great wrongs committed by President Jimmy Carter—among the many he committed—was turning the back of the United States on Nationalist China aka Taiwan.  Before, during, and after World War II, the United States supported Nationalist leader Chiang Kai-Shek who led the nation on two fronts.  He fought the invading Japanese who sought to dismember his nation just as he fought Mao Tse-tung and his communist guerilla army.
The policy of the United States was one built upon the desire to forestall communist growth anywhere in the world, a policy of containment if you will, one that led to the Cold War as the Soviets sought to extend their reach around the globe as well as to the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.  Supporting Nationalist China made sense because they sought to live in freedom and not under the yoke of communism.
Eventually, however, with loads of help from the Soviet Union, the communists were able to overthrow mainland China in, I believe, 1949, and the defeated Nationalists took refuge on the island of Formosa--Taiwan.  There, they have been a shining example of liberty, freedom, and of capitalism in a region of the world frequented many times by dictators.
When the United Nations permitted Communist China to join the organization, the ‘Two Chinas’ policy quickly evaporated and President Jimmy Carter, being the bumbling, ill-educated Southern governor he was, turned his back on Nationalist China and did nothing when the UN seated the communists in their place.
From that point forward, Taiwan became a non-entity, one the United States and no country wishing to do business with the communists could recognize diplomatically.  Many, including the United States, sold and continue to sell the Taiwanese weapons under the radar but to recognize them officially was to invite the wrath of Mainland China.
The reason for Communist China’s stipulations regarding official recognition of their free former compatriots is that China views Taiwan as a rebellious province, which makes whatever happens between the two a local matter and not a global one.  For decades now, the communists have built up their military forces and have begun building aircraft carriers with which, it will invade the island nation and up until the time, Carter turned his back on them, we had a moral obligation to defend them.
The phone call between Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-Wen and President-elect Donald J. Trump caused a furor over the weekend as the left continues its blatant attempt to discredit the incoming administration by claiming that ‘Trump does not know a thing when it comes to international politics.’  Even Saturday Night Live made some nasty cracks this past weekend but I suspect that Mr. Trump knows more than any of them combined into one nasty crap-eating critter.
I think President-elect Donald Trump is going to grasp the communists by the balls and let them know that he is going to restore diplomatic relations with Taiwan unless, of course, the mainlanders rein in North Korea and cease with all of the island-building in the South China Sea.
It should be clear to everyone that the People’s Republic of China—the communists—have little to no respect for the United States.  They dump massive amounts of products here in the USA, ranging from contaminated dry wall to poisoned dog food.
Moreover, anyone in their right mind would do well to avoid as many defective Chinese imports as possible, which is why we need a president imbued with the business of acumen Mr. Trump possesses.
Going to war with North Korea is out of the question although the scumbags have given the West in general and the United States in particular numerous reasons for doing so.  However, their number one trading partner, mainland China, should be the one to tell Kim Jung-Un, “Hey!  Time to stop with the provocations you little overweight twit.”
Besides North Korea, China needs to make amends for numerous other economic and cybercrimes they commit against the United States all the damn time.  If American businesses begin returning to the United States, the Chinese economy is going to take a massive hit.
Furthermore, if the Chinese threaten to call in their debts, then we should tell them, “Go ahead, we will nullify those debts like any Third World dictatorship does when someone calls them to account for their chits” and then go-ahead and do it.  If they threaten to nationalize our business interests in China, we should nationalize Chinese business interests in the United States.
For far too long, the current president and his predecessor have tiptoed around China or have actively been in league with the communist government in Beijing.  We need to begin the pushback that is going to put our nation first and push the communists back.
After all, the People’s Republic of China cannot sustain a determined long-term hit to their economy because they built it atop a mountain of economic sleight of hand.  If things begin to become tight, who knows—perhaps the people will demand more right to determine their national future.
I think Donald Trump is going to pave the way for a new way of doing things around the world where the United States comes first and international trade agreements favoring our partners and not us go out of the window.
Additionally, we need to scrap NAFTA, CAFTA, TPP, and various other unilateral trade agreements made with assorted other countries that do us injustice while enriching them.
In essence, we have a new sheriff in town and things are going to change.  Something else I hope is going to change is the ‘sanctuary cities and counties’ afflicting our nation.
After all, we know why they exist and it is not out of love for illegal aliens but for a love of their votes.  Virtually every sanctuary across the United States has Democrats in power.  Their time is coming and it is coming soon.  See you tomorrow—we will discuss this at 12:01 A.M.
God bless President-elect Donald J. Trump and God bless America.

Paul McCartney released his first ‘official’ solo album on April 17, 1970, “McCartney.”  Some critics panned the album as everyone always expected GREAT things from the Beatles’ bassist but he chose to do an album in which, he performed ALL instruments and did all the vocals with wife, Linda, joining him for harmonies.  The record is a fine one, one we promote wholeheartedly to all fans of the band and of its separate components, and when compared with the first three released by John Lennon, this is a GREAT album.  Please, use the link we provide you here so you can snag it at a great price in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you at Amazon.com.
