SUMMER SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #2,124 AT THE AICP-END

I am not a racist even though the Left claims I am
Kula, HI, 09-14-2016 Wednesday: I have blogged for Stinkbug since we had our original blog at another now defunct blog host and if you look at my photo of me from long, long ago, the one thing you see that never changes is the color of my skin.  I am of Hawaiian-Polynesian descent with some Chinese thrown in for good measure among other things, which makes me as BLACK as any black American living on the mainland—if not darker.  I am so angry, both as the child of my parents and as a woman that the LEFT never shuts the F**K up about we, Republicans, being racist.  I AM NOT A RACIST, I JUST DO NOT BELIEVE WE NEED TO THROW OUR BORDERS WIDE OPEN AND IMPORT PEOPLE WHO WILL NEVER ASSIMILATE, NOR HAVE A DESIRE TO DO SO.
The standard insult the Left hurls at those of us who inhabit the Right is that we are all racists, bigots, homophobes, Islamophobes, xenophobes, and anything else the dimwitted lolos can conjure up to hit us with.  There is not a racist bone in my body, or in those of my husband, my kids, and my parents.  We are proud Americans who do not view our fellow citizens or the people of the world through the prism of race.  Only losers do that and I would suggest that most of the losers inhabit the LEFT rather than the RIGHT.
One of the problems our nation has and must overcome at some point is the pathetic federally run governmental education system.  This system has failed the last 2-3 generations of our children as instead of teaching the TRUTH, they disseminate propaganda from the LEFT and not from the CENTER.
The federal government as it does with everything else has inserted its hooks into local education through the granting or the withholding of dollars.  As with anyone else who receives gobs of ‘free’ money, one becomes dependent upon it and then when the grantor places strings on the money, the ones dependent upon it will agree to anything the moneylenders require.
This is how we have little to no American history taught in our schools.  This is how when they do teach American history, the education czars cherry pick only the negative historical events in which, we see how BAD our country was at its founding what with slavery, bigotry, and genocide of the Native Americans.  While much of this is true, what the educators do not tell students is that much of this was common to all Western powers.
You see, Canada has just as bad a record with what they call ‘First Peoples,’ which is their ‘Native Americans.’  The Canadians apologized not too long ago for having done everything in the government’s power to eradicate the cultures of its indigenous peoples.  They took children away from resettlement locations, cut their hair, changed their clothing from native to Western, and did everything in their power to erase any vestiges of their cultural past.
Other European powers such as Britain and France did their best either to enslave or to control the various racial and ethnic groups living in their colonies from one end of the world to the other.  The Brits fought several ‘opium wars’ with the crumbling Chinese empire through running opium to Chinese citizens and then when the government protested their addicting of their people and fought back, the Brits could beat them down and demand still more territorial concessions.
The French ‘subjugated’ the peoples of Indochina (as well as other parts of the world) and although preaching harmony within the sphere of Greater French Union, they basically, transformed the people into servants, never giving them the TRUE opportunity to rise up and to become equals.  The denial of equal rights to the subjugated led the people of Indochina to seek their independence when World War II ended and through a long and painful war, the Vietnamese, Laotians, and Cambodians either achieved full independence or some semblance of equality.
When the French fought to re-subjugate Indochina, they had help from their West African and North African colonies in the form of troops.  When Dien Bien Phu fell to the forces of the Viet Minh, the victors separated the various colonial troops from their French masters and sowed the seeds of ‘independence’ in their minds.  When the government of Ho Chi Minh allowed the Algerians, Moroccans, Tunisians, and others to return home, they sought the same independence the Vietnamese had won and which they as French subjects had opposed.
The French gave other colonies such as those in West Africa independence throughout the 1960s, which is something the British, the Belgians, and the Dutch did, too.  The United States granted independence to the Philippines in 1946, which it had seized from Spain in the Spanish-American War and then ruled as a commonwealth.  The U.S. was not alone in holding empire, the difference between the Europeans and the United States was that we granted freedom without the locals having to fight a war while the Europeans generally had to fight against those seeking independence.
We know that when Britain began moving its convicts to Australia and to New Zealand, that one of the things they attempted to do was to diminish or to eradicate the Aboriginal population.  This was the way of the world throughout the ages of discovery and colonialism.  Local populations either submitted or they faced harsh countermeasures, yet seldom do we hear anyone speak of other nations being similar to ours.  The British did this throughout India, Egypt, and other African and Middle Eastern colonies because it was what they did.
The gist of what I am saying is that the world has seen many things and that what has happened before most likely happened way before that meaning that history is cyclical and goes round as does a big wheel.  Therefore, America’s educators do a great disservice to the youth of this nation by not teaching them the FULL truth such as we were not the ONLY nation to have slaves nor were we the LAST Western nation to free them.
All of Latin America had slaves when the Spanish and the Portuguese ruled them.  Upon winning independence from the two European occupiers, most new governments freed their slaves upon gaining their freedom although some such as Brazil kept the institution into the late 1880s, fully two decades following our release of slaves.
Mexico freed its slaves upon independence in 1821, I believe, but then did its best to eradicate its Native American populations, something that still seems to go on in several Central American nations to this day, particularly Guatemala.  Like it or not, many nations around the world continue to battle its original peoples or to enslave new populations such as what we see in Africa and in some parts of India and Asia.
Our Department of Education needs to get on the ball and to teach the TRUTH.  Teach the WHOLE TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH.  I hope that if Donald Trump wins the White House, he begins cracking the whip on the various governmental departments and bureaucracies that continue spreading this sickness to our youth.  We would not have half of the problems we now see were it not for the Department of Education seeking to vomit its disease-ridden ideas into the minds of the young.
As for being a racist, I dispute that notion, too, because what I know of the Democratic Party is that it is the home of racism, bigotry, homophobia, hate, segregation, Jim Crow, lynchings, the Ku Klux Klan, ‘separate but equal,’ sexism, and every other vile form of hate-filled discrimination the nation has ever seen.  Southern Democrats were the slave owners while their Northern counterparts worked on their behalf to allow the South to continue holding its enslaved human population.
Oh, they do a grand job of making it out that we Republicans are the ones guilty of all of this so this is why I do my best to inform and to spread the TRUTH to everyone I meet.  I teach my kids and their kids the truth and I do my best to participate in the PTA and every other form of educational enlightenment here in Hawaii that I can.  We must get the truth out to the young people of the nation and stop the injection of filth with which, the Democrats seem to want to infect them.  It is either them or us and we on the RIGHT are NOT racists—the LEFT is.
Have a great day and I will see you tomorrow and please, join me over at the secondary blog as we continue our countdown to the final Beverly Carrick paintings.  I know you will love what you see just as I love presenting them.  Love you all, aloha, aloha, and aloha!
Thank you!

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2016

In 1972, the Hollies released the follow up to “Romany,” an album bearing the title, “Out on the Road,” which one might think was going to be a LIVE album when in fact, it was a studio CD.  Mikael Rikfors was the lead vocalist on this recording and the songs were good rockers although somewhat removed from the original style of the band.  In fact, the band’s record company released the album ONLY in two European countries, Spain and Germany, which was a shame.  Up until about 10 years ago, it was unavailable.  Now, however, the album is available to all and with bonus tracks so please, use the link we provide you here so you can go to Amazon.com and pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you—you will be glad you did.
