SUMMER SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #2,064 AT THE AICP-END

By opening her senile mouth, Justice Ruth Vader Ginsburg opened the door to a new attack by Donald Trump
Century City, CA, 07-16-2016 Saturday: I am sorry to say, I ran a little bit long yesterday and hit on a variety of topics even though I kept them to one particular region of the world—the Middle East and American policy.  I have to say that I am somewhat perturbed by the fact that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg criticized a presidential candidate of the opposing party not once but three times.  I seriously doubt that the old fossil President Bill Clinton appointed to the high court is senile, as she seems to take great pride in letting her feelings known.
I always thought that judges should maintain their personal feelings to themselves when it comes to commenting on political candidates unless for some reason, they appear before the court.  Even so, judicial personal opinions should never find cracks in the wall through which, they somehow make it into the news because it shows bias.  One would think that such questionable conduct would exempt them from sitting in judgment on a case should the person they commented on win office.
Imagine if Donald Trump wins the White House and immediately begins transforming America and that some of his laws find their way before the Supreme Court of the United States.  How can Justice Ginsburg rule in a neutral manner on someone she considers to be little more than a ‘schmuck’ and let spill in some interviews?  There is no way she could rule either for or against a President Trump because she already said harsh things about the New York billionaire.
Justice Ginsburg made mention that ‘if Trump won the election, then she might consider moving to New Zealand.’  What?  How many times have we heard folks on the Left side of the political aisle proclaim their intent to move somewhere else should someone on the Right wins office?  I believe Quentin Tarantino—the maker of some of the most violent films in the world—has uttered similar stupidity just as has that big fat, doughnut-eating dunce, Michael Moore.
Sadly, the people who say this ignorant stuff never keep their promises and we find ourselves forced to put up with their continued presence in the nation.  I mean, we still have the Dixie Chicks, right—they did not leave the country.
Moreover, I hope that if Trump wins that Ms. Ginsburg keeps her promise and departs the nation as the only way we can ‘make America great again’ is by reclaiming the high court.  President Trump would have TWO—NOT ONE!—seats on the Supreme Court to fill and who knows another one-to-two seats what with the ages of the jurists.
Justice Ginsburg babbled in three separate interviews that she ‘was surprised that Trump had not had to turn over his income tax returns for public scrutiny.’  Well, we have not yet seen the transcripts of the speeches Mrs. Clinton gave to Wall Street Banks.  As we know the former First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State, gave speeches that brought in something like $23 million over the past three years to HER ‘charity.’  I think Senator Sanders was correct when he clobbered over the head with his demands to SEE those transcripts.
Unfortunately, the American people have not yet seen the transcripts so why hasn’t Justice Ginsburg commented on that issue and why back in 2007, did she not demand to see the birth certificate of then-Senator Barack Obama?  You know the answer as much as I do: she did not care and will never care as long as a Democrat is the one in question.
This is why people are angry in this nation and why many of us who have existed on the LEFT side of the aisle have reevaluated our political views and have changed alliances.  We want the ‘same old, same old’ to stop and we want someone who is going to restore the United States to what it once was—a GREAT nation!
The 83-year-old Supreme Court justice called Donald Trump a “faker.”  Folks, I do not see Mr. Trump as a ‘faker,’ the only one I see fitting that ad hominem attack is Justice Ginsburg, herself.  The reason WHY I make this charge against the old bag is that is SUPPOSED to be impartial on cases that come before her but everyone knows that the libs on the court act as RUBBER STAMPS for anything or any idea sent to them from their leftwing allies.
Trump was correct in questioning her mental stability as she is in the twilight years of her life.  How do we know that Alzheimer’s disease is not setting into the dwindling gray matter contained within her cranium?  I would think we need to have TERM LIMITS for all judicial appointments and that is one of the few mistakes the Founders made when creating a government consisting of three equal parts.
Their idea was that the legislative branch, which consisted of two halves—the House of Representatives and the Senate—would be equal to the executive or presidential branch, which would find counterbalancing with a Supreme Court where the justices had life terms.  House members undergo election every two years and their numbers relate directly to the number of citizens living within their area.
The Senate, on the other hand, originally was a body of legislators that EACH state government appointed to six-year terms to represent the interests of the states.  However, the 17th Amendment, ratified on April 08, 1913, stole that power from state governments and placed it into the hands of the voters something I suspect is a big mistake.  The reason for it being a ‘mistake’ is that senators no longer represent their states so much as they represent the whims and desires of their parties.  California is a shining example of this debacle.
Here in California, our two senators, both Democrats, are Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein.  I cannot recall the last time they ‘represented the interests of the state’ as they, too, are rubber stamps for President Barack Obama.  We would not have the water, energy, and food issues that we have if they truly represented the state.
You see, they do not represent the state, they represent the BIG cities where the bulk of their voters—some of questionable citizenship—reside.  This is NOT what the Founders planned for the country and I think it would make far more sense to overturn the 17th Amendment through a new one reverting things back to the way they were supposed to be.
Ah, well, some things may well never ever change; however, we should attempt to install term limits for every office in every level of government.  Otherwise, we end up with lifelong hacks such as some of the Supreme Court justices who could care less about determining whether laws are Constitutional or not but instead do whatever their party wants them to do.  I suspect that the reason the nation is in the decline that it is relates directly to this continued crumbling of the Founders’ creation.
I have to say, however, that I believe it is GOOD for Justice Ginsburg to make these comments as it allows the Trump Machine to go after sitting justices and judges on other courts by pointing out that they are political animals and not the neutral arbiters of justice the Founders intended them to be.
I must admit that Justice Ginsburg fails to impress me and believe she should indeed step down and let someone else take her seat as long as it is not another liberal hack determined to continue the decline and fall of the greatest nation on earth, the United States of America.
See you tomorrow, folks for the final day of the 2016 stint—God bless you.
Thank you,
PEACE!

This is a photo of me taken at an ACF Convention back in the early 1960's when I was a representative from our California chapter.  Anyhow, I'm a great deal older than this picture now but that's what we're doing, sharing OLD pictures of all of us.  I'm still a handsome man, however!

MORE TO COME FROM THE ROLLING STONES

SATURDAY, JULY 16, 2016
In 2010, Charlie Watts released and a collection of Boogie Woogie tunes in conjunction with Axel Zwingenberger and Dave Green.  If you have, no idea as to what ‘BOOGIE WOOGIE’ is or was; well, you have a great deal of musical fun to own.  In the old days, black artists created a unique piano style that kept people from remaining in their seats for more than a few seconds before getting up and moving and grooving to the music.  For many years, the music was somewhat lost as it existed only on 78-RPM and when record players left off 78s, well, there went the music so many of us love.  We sure as heck you check this CD, entitled, “The Magic of Boogie Woogie,” out by going to Amazon.com—using our link of course—and checking it out for yourselves.  You will be so glad you did.
