I hope John McCain goes down in the Same Way we know the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to go down to the Golden State Warriors—Senator, it is Time for YOU to go Home!

SPRING SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #2,023 AT THE AICP-END

Folks, it is OVER for the Cleveland Cavaliers already…
Mukilteo, WA, 06-05-2016 Sunday: Friends, I have to say that following the debacle of Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, I think the end is in sight and that the Cleveland Cavaliers might as well toss in the towel and permit the Golden State Warriors to repeat.  Oh, sure, I know this is unfair to fans of the Cavs but we all know they do not possess the ability or the talent to beat the swift sharpshooting Warriors who have a bench that goes so deep that even the boys who hand out water and towels can go into the game and make 3-pointers as needed.
Oh, please, excuse me for being factitious on that last note, after watching what the Golden State team did to my Supersonics—uh, excuse me—the Oklahoma City Thunder, even on a bad night, the Warriors will beat the Cavs.  That is why after betting on Cleveland, I doubled up my bets on the Warriors because I want to WIN money and to WIN it BIG. We know the Warriors reside in the heads of the Cavs no matter what the Clevelanders say and it should be clear to EVERYONE that the Warriors are going to claim another championship even if it takes them seven games to do it—the writing is on the wall already.
Now, we could talk about the WNBA because we do have a team in Seattle but no one I know—even fans of the team—want to discuss the Women’s National Basketball Association.  They lack the desire to promote it because it will NEVER have the same stature, as does the NBA unless, of course, the men on the planet suddenly die of a man-killing virus.  Sexist, sure, but I am an old chef and could care less what any namby-pamby transgender schmucks say.
Moving on to the main topic, I have to say it is WONDERFUL to see that scumbag Senator John McCain in the fight of his life.  The Tea Party is up in arms against him, not just, because he is such a disingenuous putz but because he allied with Mississippi Senator Thad Cochran in 2014 to rip apart a conservative primary challenger.
That is right, no one recalls this fact, I bet, but McCain, a man who always swings far right to oust any primary challenger and then swings back to the left in the general now faces someone in former Arizona state Senator Kelli Ward of Lake Havasu City.  Her top ally is the Mississippi state Senator Chris McDaniel, the man that McCain and Cochran conspired to beat using whatever method it took to accomplish this onerous task.  Cochran, in office since 1978 and considered a slime ball by many, hit McDaniel—a fellow Republican!—with all sorts of allegations of ‘racism,’ which were not true.
For a Republican to slam a fellow Republican with charges ONLY the flipping Democrats would use is not only unconscionable it is foul and the one doing the charging needs to suffer a big slap upside the head.  You had better believe I am sending money to the Super PAC backing Ms. Ward because so many of us want to see John McCain heading off into the sunset.  Granted, the man should have lost last time but this time, we believe we can boot his sorry ass out of office and onto the government dole for the rest of his life although the dole he will receive is way better than he deserves.
Senator McCain boohoos that it is the ‘fault’ of Donald Trump being the nominee, that he could lose this reelection bid because the billionaire’s followers are ‘too stupid’ to vote down-ballot races.  Senator McCain, you, sir, are the bum, you need to retire and go home because not only are you a reprobate, you are a loser, a scumbag, and a faux Republican and the time has come to force you into permanent retirement.
You know, Donald Trump drew a great deal of criticism when he said last year that he likes ‘heroes who weren’t captured’ referring to then pilot McCain suffering a heat-seeking missile strike on his attack jet in Vietnam.  People whined and wailed, ‘oh, how can you say that, Donald, John McCain is a HERO, a HERO!’
McCain did suffer being shot down in the skies over North Vietnam and yes, he was in prison there for years, and he could have come home on early release because his father was an admiral and he was suffering debilitating wounds but elected to remain with his comrades.  Yes, this was an admirable thing for him to do and his physical appearance still shows that he suffers from those wounds inflicted on him decades ago.
Here is the deal as far as I see it: Trump was referring to him being unheroic because of his more recent actions as a Republican senator.  Most Republicans—even those moderate such as me—do not believe that McCain is a TRUE Republican.  We believe him to be a crony capitalist who in league with his ‘best bud’ Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina are only ‘in it’ for themselves, damned the conservative torpedoes fired at the duo.

In the end, I hope McCain will suffer the same embarrassing, humiliating defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to face.  The time of McCain has come and gone and the fossil needs to leave along with scumbags such as Harry Reid and other losers who have chosen to head home instead of facing discomfiture at the hands of the voters.  McCain, I hope you go down in blazing disastrous defeat, the kind that leads to political science books telling tales of not how to win but how to overwhelmingly lose a campaign.  Whatever honor McCain might have had one day has long since abandoned him, and it is time for the dinosaurs and the fossils to head home and leave America be.
Senator McCain, I hope you reap the punishment designed for dishonorable men and yes, I agree with Donald Trump—I like heroes who do not capitulate to their enemies, meaning those who do not cross the aisle to work with the other side.  I feel bad you spent time in Hanoi Hilton but I think you rank among the worst turncoat senators in the history of the United States Senate.
Please, leave some comments, I would love to hear from you, and I will reply as quickly as I can.  See you next time.

This is a photo of I, your host, back in the 1980's when I was the Executive Chef at a country club in the Napa Valley but for security purposes, we have scaled some of our personal info back.  However, I spent many years working in professional foodservice, having begun as a young boy working for my father in his restaurant over on the coast in Pismo Beach.  Foodservice is in my blood and it is something I still do actively every day in my late eighties in Washington State.

MORE TO COME FROM THE ROLLING STONES

SUNDAY, JUNE 05, 2016
Mick Taylor released his third solo album in 1995, “Coastin’ Home—Live at 14 Below.”  For those who have been with the Rolling Stones and their members from the VERY beginning, we love each period of the band.  The Brian Jones period was very creative, Jones being proficient on any instrument with which he sat down for a couple of hours.  After he fell out of the band, the Stones recruited Mick Taylor from John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers and he provided some of the BEST music the band ever recorded/performed through his very fluid guitar work.  After he left in 1974, the Stones moved on as did he.  Here, although some fans criticize the guitarist for not showing the ‘fire’ he did while performing with the Stones and prior, he still delivers the musical chops and believe me, they are hot, smoking, and enlightened.  Having seen him perform Upcountry at Casanova’s Italian Restaurant in Makawao, HI, back in the 1990s, all I can say is that this is a GREAT album and one every fan of the band and of the man should own.  Please, use our link so you can go directly to Amazon.com and pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works for you—you will be so glad you did.
