Why does every TV Show, Numerous Commercials, and the Media in General feel the Need to insert LGBT Lifestyles into everything we watch, hear, and even read—we are the Modern Day Equivalent of Sodom and Gomorrah

SPRING SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #1,995 AT THE AICP-END

We need to restore some form of morality to a troubled nation that is on the verge of going down as did the Ancient Greeks and the Romans
Bakersfield, CA, 05-08-2016 Sunday: Welcome to the Sunday edition of the AICP-END Blog, the day when we get to mess around and accomplish very little if we so choose but as far as I know, we have something to discuss.
I have to ask a pertinent question about the amount of LGBT lifestyles we see inserted in numerous TV shows.  Do not mistake what I am saying, I am not a bigot as are some but I am curious as to why we need to have the doings of 1.5-2-percent of the population (and 0.5-percent for transgender folks), thrust into our faces?  These sorts of ‘doings’ have gone on throughout history, something that might be accepted but are still seen as aberrant—thrust into the limelight of everything on television?
Take for instance, the big hit show, “Empire” on FOX-TV.  One of the stars, character Jamal Lyon, well, the kid is gay, gay in real life and gay on the show, which is his business.  While this is fine, there are times when it seems that this show that comes on at 9:00 p.m. on the West Coast has whole lots of lovin’ going on between Jamal and whomever he chooses to hook up with the moment right there for EVERYONE to see.
Yes, there is a great deal of hetero sex, too, but over the course of the show, all the trysts, the flirtations, and the down and dirty BOOM-BOOM-BOOM is right there for everyone to see—even young kids who like the music and tune in for it SEE it.  I could care less about what people do in their bedrooms or in the back of their sedans but hey, can we leave a little bit of room for the imagination instead of showing us all the ‘pong-pong’ going on as a Filipino chef I once worked with called the sex act.
Something else that makes me very curious is the fact there is quite a bit of man-to-man sexual tension between BLACK characters on the show, which as far as I know—and having worked with numerous black chefs over the past 45-50 years—is something they view as ‘taboo.’
In fact, I have never met a single black man or woman who told me they like doing it with a member of the same sex and that if anyone called them a derogatory term for a gay person, it would set them off and they might go berserk, so aghast were they at someone thinking that of them.
Yet, there on “Empire,” we have two black fellows getting down in the recording studio or in the anteroom off it and we are supposed to accept it as the norm.  I could care less about what color one is, or what he or she likes in the sack but TV is going in the OPPOSITE direction of where Hollywood has been going the past decade or so.  You see the movie producers have learned that crowds want to see more EXPLOSIONS than they do sexual encounters.  People have become so bored with people boning one another in big budget films that explosions rule the day and sex remains at a minimum.
However, television does not seem to have received the message that “Hey, enough with overdoing the ‘pong-pong,’ people know what goes on in the bedrooms nowadays, even young kids who can slip into mom and dad’s bedroom and watch the Playboy Channel or hop online and see men mating with kangaroos if they so choose.  In fact, Time magazine had an issue not too long ago that said that the ‘first generation of men to have grown up with porn-on-demand now has a difficult time making love to a real girl.’  Who would ever have thought that but then, I did not go to porn flicks every single week as many youngsters do around the clock on their computers.
We have seen homosexuality inserted into commercials—again, something I can deal with but what about the young children?—it is not an ‘alternative lifestyle’ or ‘form of love’—which is why we need to tone it down.  However, TV and commercial producers want to stuff it into virtually every facet of our lives.  We see men relieving themselves into urinals on almost every television show—including comedies—which is fine—it is realism—but do we need to have gobs of conversations take place while men stand before the stall doing their thing.
I am glad I no longer have young kids to raise to adulthood and when the grandkids come over, we police what they watch energetically.  If their parents allow them to watch stuff on TV my wife and I deem to be somewhat objectionable for young kids, then so be it, nothing we can do.  However, we do not need to encourage children to open their minds to anything that does not come natural to them over the course of growing into adulthood and beyond.
In closing the post, let me say I think we have gone down a dark road in the world of entertainment.  We see so many violent shows and Good God Almighty, almost EVERY show on cable television on various subscriber channels such as HBO, Starz, Cinemax, and whatever else, overflows with gratuitous sex that really does not need to be there in order to tell the story.
I would like to see Hollywood and other purveyors of such television series, movies, and commercials tone things down.  After all, it is pretty damned hard to grow up in this world with a moral compass to steer one through life.  Look at the politicians doing battle over who will sit in the White House following the disaster of #44.  Bill Clinton is a serial deviant and his wife has permitted it while Donald Trump called bagging all the women he did during the 1970s and 1980s his ‘own personal Vietnam’ because he managed to avoid catching a venereal disease—REALLY?
In the end, NO one knows what is going to happen to the Western World but folks, it is on a similar trajectory—GOING DOWN—as did the once mighty Greeks and then the Romans who followed them.  If we are going to get a grip on salvaging something for future generations that does not revolve around deviants living the lives the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah lived and which caused the people destruction then we need to apply the brakes before God does it for us.
God bless you all, take care, thank you, and let’s fix the nation and the world before there is nothing left to fix and another power sweeps in from nowhere as did the Vandals and sacks our country.   We know militant Islamists despise our way of life and want to destroy us so what more reason do we need than to save our kids, their kids, and even their kids—we need to do this together.  See you next time.
Thank you!
