SPRING SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #2,010 AT THE AICP-END

Welcome to a ‘Light’ Monday
Mukilteo, WA, 05-23-2016 Monday: I am glad we are almost at the Summer Session 2016 because I am going to take some time off today from doing the ‘normal’ thing and do something simple, easy, and quick.  In other words, I am late coming down from Washington State because business has been better than usual, which is ALWAYS good.  As you know, times are tough everywhere and living in a liberal state is never an easy thing to do because we have all sorts of rules and regulations forced on us business owners.  Sometimes I ponder if it makes no sense staying in business when we have to pay high taxes, medical insurance, disability insurance, unemployment, not to mention the cost of doing business.
Ah, well, what is the point in complaining about anything seeing as how we are in the midst of an election season?   After watching some of the debates, I arrived at the conclusion towards the end of the year that if I watched election news around the clock, I might go in the back room, pull out my gun, put it to my head, and splatter my brains around the office.  However, I knew that if I did that, I would cast doubt upon my family and would invite the government to intrude even deeper into my business dealings than I wanted them.
I returned the gun to the lockbox as that is what the law demands of us in the liberal mecca of the north and went back to my business.  I tried to pay as little attention as I could to the battle going on between Donald Trump and his then rivals.  Well, it sure appears that Donald Trump is going to be the next president of the United States unless Bill and Hillary devise a strategy so devious that somehow they are able to convince the people that they are a ‘better choice.’  A better choice?—man, it is time to fetch that firearm and return to what I was debating in the first place.
I have no problem with Trump now seeing as how the insulting of his fellow Republicans now seems to be at an end.  We hear there are STILL some among the GOP who seek a third party candidate but why in heck would they do something as ignorant and as selfish as that.  If Trump does indeed win the White House, he might create a brand-new party and dispense with the Grand ‘Old’ Party.  It is not as though the Republican leadership has led to the ‘Promised Land’ in a long, long time.  What I am saying is that all of them are frigging liars and that ‘enough is enough.’
I look forward to debating the political situation with you throughout the week and from what I hear, I could be here next week, too.  We plan to present music on Friday-Saturday-Sunday-and-Monday because of Memorial Day this upcoming Monday.  We all know that this holiday is extremely important as it is on that day that we revere the men and women who have served the nation, continue serving it as well as honoring those who have suffered wounds or death.  We owe so much to these people that it is important that we never forget them.  That is going to do it for me today, we will pick up tomorrow.
Thank you,

This is a photo of I, your host, back in the 1980's when I was the Executive Chef at a country club in the Napa Valley but for security purposes, we have scaled some of our personal info back.  However, I spent many years working in professional foodservice, having begun as a young boy working for my father in his restaurant over on the coast in Pismo Beach.  Foodservice is in my blood and it is something I still do actively every day in my late eighties in Washington State.

MORE TO COME FROM THE ROLLING STONES

MONDAY, MAY 23, 2016
In 1989, the Rolling Stones released a great collection of all of the band’s singles from the EARLY DAYS aka the most prolific in the career of the band.  “The Singles Collection—the London Years” contains every ‘A’ and ‘B’ side from the earliest “Come On” to “Sympathy for the Devil.”  Added to this are some very unique cuts that one can find on album collections—some American and some British—and also on several ‘best of’ compilations but in their ‘singles’ form and not necessarily the ‘album.’  We hope you will use our link so you can visit Amazon.com where you can get it in the format, the condition, and the price that works best for you—you will love it.
