Dave Brat—who unseated Eric Cantor in the Virginia 2014 PRIMARY Race—is an Inspiration to us in our Effort to send Congressman Kevin McCarthy packing on June 07—enough is enough!

SPRING SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #2,003 AT THE AICP-END

I hope Ken Mettler is going to ‘primary’ Kevin McCarthy in June
Bakersfield, CA, 05-16-2016 Monday:  It looks like it is going to be Hillary Clinton vs. Donald Trump in November and I am not sure if the nation can handle listening to all of the mudslinging that is going to fly around the nation’s airwaves.  I know that I am grateful that I am able to work sixteen hours per day so I do not have to be home shagging polling calls and robo-calls that gobs of surrogates and other losers make around the clock.  I wish that the pollsters and the robots respected the Federal Do-Not-Call List but there is no way we can get the government to outlaw such calls.  Besides, it is irritating enough that we get these ‘calls’ from the ‘Internal Revenue Service’ where some f—k from Punjab, India, attempts to tell me that I OWE the IRS lots of money—I would love to castrate the dumb-shits.
For one thing, we here in Bakersfield, California, we now have to listen to numerous radio ads by Congressman Kevin McCarthy, same commercial, 20 times per hour--it is driving me crazy and angry.  Every restaurant has a radio in the kitchen, which is standard operating procedure although some old time chefs who are still around from the 1960s tend not to want that.  They feel as though listening to ball games and talk radio causes some workers not to be able to accomplish their tasks, which is sad—I fire those kinds of people, not the old guys, the ones who work with the pace of a garden slug.
Anyhow, Congressman McCarthy—the number two Republican in the House behind Speaker Paul Ryan—is someone no one hears from EXCEPT at election time.  Then, it is blitz the airwaves with this pap about how much he loves veterans and commits himself to helping them achieve the help that should be coming to them already but which, never seems to do.
Congressman McCarthy has been our representative for quite a while now, taking over from Bill Thomas, 10 years or so ago, maybe longer—when it comes to politics, one’s mind tends to forget.  Anyhow, many people here in Bakersfield and throughout the 23rd District of California have fallen out of love with McCarthy.  For one thing, it sure struck many of us rather ‘strange’ that when John Boehner (another loser) decided he would go before his Republicans threw him out that McCarthy stepped down rather suddenly.
There was some sort of mention that perhaps the Congressman was schlepping one of his aides, something that seems to be a frequent downfall for numerous politicians.  However, we all felt that at least it was NOT a young male but a woman (no airport toe tapping here) because when he announced he was not going to seek the seat of his boss for some sketchy reasons, we all knew he was doing some boinking in the backroom.  That is right, we believe the Congressman was misbehaving and so he has been VERY silent until the past couple of weeks.
Oh, wait, we are having our primary on June 07, along with a bunch of other states, the last BIG SUPER-SUPER-SUPER Tuesday before Washington, DC, holds theirs on the 14th.  McCarthy faces TWO challengers, he faces Wendy Reed—Democrat from Quartz Hill—and a Republican primary challenger, long-time local politician, Ken Mettler.
Here is the deal, I do not know about my fellow Republicans here in town but the time has come to clean house here in Bakersfield and throughout the district.  I suspect that Ken Mettler is going to do very well in the primary challenge and could unseat Congressman McCarthy.
However, what happens in the General Election is unknown, we do live in a state ruled by Democrats, and how we have kept the seat in the Twenty-Third is beyond me.  That is right, I said it, we could very well lose to Reed in November but it is what it is, friends, not much we can do about it except cross our fingers and toes and hope that Mettler can go to the District of Columbia to represent us.
As for McCarthy, he can go the way of ‘what’s his face—Eric Cantor—in 2014, knocked out by a relative unknown, a first time politician who whooped the crap out of him.  Dave Brat is an example as to how we can reclaim our nation and the first step for us here in the Bakersfield area is to send Kevin McCarthy back to his delicatessen so he can do what he does best—play with his meat.
All I can say is that it is going to be a unique election season; no one knows who is going to survive this one with both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton being the worst possible candidates imaginable.  I think the down-ballot candidates are going to suffer on BOTH sides of the aisle, so we have ample opportunity to throw ALL of the bums out of office and will only have accept one bum or another at the top of the heap.  Kevin McCarthy, YOU are going to go and all I can say is, “It’s about time.”
Yeah, I know that was hurtful but folks, it is what it is—thanks for being here today and I will see you tomorrow.  Ciao!
Thank you!

MORE TO COME FROM THE ROLLING STONES

MONDAY, MAY 16, 2016
In 1985 prior to the next Rolling Stones album, Mick Jagger released his first official solo album, “She’s the Boss.”  Mick Jagger is a competent songwriter and lyricist as well as a guitarist, keyboardist and whatever else and decided that he needed to branch out and do his thing.  He had various musicians come on board and join him and the album did reasonably well.  However, it almost ended the Stones as the band was getting ready to go into the studio and work on their next album, “Dirty Work,” but Mick was either held up or came in and did his parts separately infuriating Keith Richards.  This is NOT a Stones album; this is something completely different and a fine addition to any music collection of the era.  Please, use our link so you can go to Amazon.com and pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that works for you—you will be glad you did.
