SPRING SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #1,972 AT THE AICP-END

Hiatus Day Number 6
San Luis Obispo, CA, 04-15-2016 Friday: We want to thank you all for allowing us to take a bit of a week off this week, as it has been a hard slog since last year.  The election situation is interesting what with the debate tonight between a rapidly ascending Bernie Sanders and a floundering fish, Hillary Clinton, seeking a knockout punch.  I have to say, the old codger’s determination to continue fighting-fighting-fighting against the Clinton war machine, which amazes EVERYONE I know.
What fascinates even more is the fact that Bernie Sanders beats EVERYONE according to the polls, even Johnny Kasich, the man the mainstream GOP now has blessed as its only hope.
Oh, yeah, the poll on FOX says that Kasich can beat Sanders but you know what?—NEVER mess with a grandfatherly old man—even if he is a flaming commie!—because old age trumps a vagina any day.  That is right; you heard it here first, age trumps a vagina on any given day, especially among the young, because most of them love their grandparents more than they do their own parents.
Add to that the free college spiel and man, oh, man, you can taste the sausage I am making today, folks.  We love it that Bernie punched Hillary early on (do I sound sexist?) over her taking $15 million from her Wall Street cronies.
When she began punching down at the old man, one could not feel but sympathy for her, especially when she leapt on him over his ‘inability’ to answer questions on his ‘core issues.’  Below the belt, woman, below the belt; however, when Senator Sanders brings up ‘judgment calls,’ watch out folks because he latches onto her like a vicious dog attacking a staggering giant.
At times, it seemed to me that Wolf Blitzer attempted to protect Madam Clinton while at others, he came to the rescue of the Vermont senator when Hillary screeched at him over several issues, interrupting him at times.  Whomever you think won the scrap or not, well, the outcome is debatable because many say ‘Senator Sanders cannot do it.’  I do not know, the audience cheered more for him than her so we shall see whatever occurs on Tuesday.  I hope I will not be here, that someone is going to relieve me at some point.  See you tomorrow.
Thank you, my friends!

MORE TO COME FROM THE ROLLING STONES

FRIDAY, APRIL 15, 2016
In 1972, the Rolling Stones released a one-of-a-kind album, “Jamming with Edward.”  The album featured Mick Jagger, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, Nicky Hopkins, and Ry Cooder.  The sessions took place during some open studio time in 1969 when the band was in the process of recording “Let it Bleed.”  Keith Richards had business elsewhere that evening while Mick Taylor’s wife, Rose, was sick at home, and required his attention.  Cooder, noted American blues grass musician, was there contributing mandolin to the tune, “Country Honk,” and the musicians on hand jammed on several interesting tunes either penned at the moment or from other musicians.  This album offers an interesting peek at the methods the Stones and their session musicians used when recording and that is why we hope you use our link so you can go to Amazon.com and pick it up there in the format, the condition, and the price that is best for you.
