After Tuesday, it appears that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will duke it out for the White House this Fall—it is going to be a Long, Hot Seven Months despite the Temperature as the Two Titans wage War

SPRING SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #1,984 AT THE AICP-END

It appears we now have our nominees for the race for the White House
Frazier Park, CA, 04-27-2016 Wednesday: I do not claim to be a genius—unless it relates to culinary matters—but it sure seems to me that the race is winding down for the nominees of the two major parties.  Donald Trump apparently is doing well at the time of this writing—if one bases his or her views on the exit polls—just as Hillary Clinton seems to be doing irreparable damage to the campaign of Senator Sanders.  We all hope that the race is going to settle down for a brief period of time before the robo-calls begin as will the inevitable human pollsters who are going to telephone almost around the clock wanting to know for WHOM WE will vote.
I am not overly enthusiastic about either candidate becoming the next president as I believe both of them lie, scheme, deceive, and plain old bullshit the voters.  We know Hillary Clinton is a BIG FAT LIAR and she and her hubby have little to no problem lying to our faces.
Trump, on the other hand, has much known (and unknown) negative past doings, especially with the amount of money he has donated to numerous Democrats over the years.  Add to that the fact that he will not release his tax returns and that his failed Trump ‘University’ now is heading to trial for bilking the ‘students.’  In fact, I heard the opening round of the trial commences on the first day of the GOP convention—yikes.
I find it horribly sad when we hear the high negatives attached to each potential nominee—Hillary and Trump—as never before in living memory have we ever had two extremely, negative candidates such as the ‘dynamic duo’ this election cycle appears to bring.  Sure, we can always hope that someone else other than Hillary or Trump will win the nomination but I sure do not think that that is going to happen unless Bernie has a big night as well as the colluding Ted Cruz and John Kasich.  We can only hope that something H-U-G-E is going to happen but what it might be or how it might occur is not something I see in my grandma’s crystal ball.
Returning to the keyboard, I see it is looking like Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton won the bulk of the five states up for grabs yesterday.  Donald Trump appears to have won Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland, and Delaware while it appears that John Kasich came in second in several of them.  Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders appears to have won Rhode Island and possibly Connecticut although the latter was too close to call at the time I keyed out this post.
Next week, Indiana is the next big battle and it is clear that Ted Cruz needs a BIG win there; however, I suspect that Donald Trump is going to blitz that state as though it is the KEY for him to win the nomination and to put it away.  Yes, I know Cruz believes he can continue on to the convention but at some point, he MUST accept the cold, hard facts, and if he wants to retain any credibility for a future run, and then he should bow out of the race, go home, and lick his wounds as has Marco Rubio.
We now know—unless the GOP leadership launches some sort of donnybrook at the convention—Donald Trump is going to face off against Hillary Clinton in November.  Both of them are dreadful candidates, loaded down with high negatives, and all I can say is that the only edge Hillary has over Donald Trump is the media.  Once the Donald wins the nomination, the media is going to unload on him with so much vigor that what has happened to past candidates is going to appear like a stroll through Candyland.
In fact, I bet Trump is going to see people he assumed to be lifelong friends turn their backs on him and then the Never Trump movement is going to join in the fray and Hillary Clinton will be the 45th president as well as the first female chief executive in the nation’s history.  Are we ready for this?
In closing, let me say a couple of things.  The campaign in November is going to be memorable for the nastiness, ugliness, and underhandedness that we will have to bear for several months.  Most of us will not answer our phones at home, which will ring off the hook with pleas for money, support, and votes.
We could solve this situation if we could build a strong third party in this nation from the ground floor UP, you know, the Libertarian Party of the United States.  If you are sick of politics as usual, then this is the way to go, folks, as it is the ONLY way to prevent all such campaign disasters from occurring in the country.  Please, join me over at the secondary blog and then again tomorrow.
Thank you for your readership.  Bye.
Thanks, my friends.

MORE TO COME FROM THE ROLLING STONES

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27, 2016
In 1975, the Rolling Stones released a studio album, “Black and Blue.”  This album was the first one upon which, Ronnie Wood would appear albeit it with Wayne Perkins on one tune and a smoking one at that, “Hand of Fate.”  Billy Preston (the so-called ‘fifth Beatle’) appears on keyboards as does another member or two of his band and it showed the Rolling Stones evolving yet again as they moved into the mid-1970s.  We love this album, from the opening “Hot Stuff,” to the closer tune, “Crazy Mama.”  This is a great album, one we wholly love, which is why we know the fans are going to love it, too.  Please, use our link to redirect your browser to Amazon.com so you can pick it up there in the format, the condition, and the price that is best for you—you will be very glad you did.
