While People may Love other Candidates, they end up voting for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton all because they believe that they can WIN—that is ALL that now matters in 2016

WINTER SESSION 2015-16

BLOGPOST #1,928 AT THE AICP-END

Many voters like ‘other than Trump’ or ‘other than Hillary’ candidates but will not vote for them because they want someone they believe who can WIN
Ventura, CA, 03-02-2016 Wednesday: I hear that voter turnout among the Democrats is not very high and have also heard some of the exit polls in various Super Tuesday states that many exiting the booths believe Bernie Sanders is the better candidate but also believe that Hillary Clinton is the ONLY one who can beat Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, on the Republican side of the Great National Divide, many people proclaim they LOVE Ted Cruz but will vote for Donald Trump because they feel he is the ONLY one capable of destroying Hillary Clinton at the polls come November.
Each side feels that its worst candidate is the ONLY one who might WIN-WIN-WIN in November.  Yet, do we want to win at ANY cost or should we begin severing the emotional ropes keeping us tied to the frontrunners—that is the essence of today’s conversation.
I thought Donald Trump would be the “Great Liberator”
Everyone who reads this blog to any degree knows that many of us including me thought Donald Trump would be the ‘Great Liberator’ who would deport millions of illegal aliens back to Mexico while strengthening the defenses along the southern border.
We thought it was a great idea to restrict the flow of Muslims into the country as well as the Mexican and Central American influx because the time is NOW for patriots of all stripes to save the nation.
The last seven years have been disastrous for the country, as Barack Hussein Obama has done his utmost best to rend the nation apart from within by toppling virtually EVERY facet of present life as well as of the past.
Our nation is at stake and we need to need to get the right person into the White House this November or we must accept the fact that our country is going to be in the downhill slide.
At the Fox News GOP debate last summer, Trump was on the menu
I think when the first GOP debate on Fox News Channel occurred last summer, Trump saw that EVERYONE was going to gang up on him and so became quarrelsome super fast and who could blame him, especially when it appeared to everyone I know that someone wound up Megyn Kelly and sent her out there to take Donald Trump OUT.
She leaped onto him like a ravenous dog onto a surprised rabbit, tearing him apart by slamming him with questions NO one else received that night.  As if that were not bad enough, the other candidates did a pile on anytime they had the opportunity except for poor old, stumbling Jeb.
I bet Jeb did not even zip his own fly until the midpoint of the debate; the man is such a bonehead.
The battle between the Trump-Bots and the other Republicans continues to rage on
If you spend any time online looking at Facebook posts and other social media, the battle between the Trump-Bots and the other Republicans rages on, unmolested.  I am somewhat surprised that someone such as Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions would endorse Donald Trump when no one knows for sure what the Donald would do if he were to become president.
We all believe in our hearts and hope in our minds that the man will keep all of his campaign promises but the more he promises things the more outlandish all of it seems.
I no longer believe the man is going to build any sort of barrier along the southern border because I think that in collaboration with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, he is going to reach out, embrace ALL of the illegals—with the exception of the violent criminals—and welcome them in to help the nation grow.
We hope Donald Trump will deport ALL illegals
Building the wall, rounding up and deporting the 20-30 million illegal aliens sounded great at first until one begins listening to schmoes such as Bill O’Reilly proclaim to Mr. Trump’s visage, ‘You know you cannot deport 11 million people, Donald, you just can’t.  They all have due process under the law, they have rights, the Constitution protects all of them and you cannot do it.’
O’Reilly goes on to cudgel Mr. Trump that this ‘nation does not tear apart families, it simply won’t stand up for any such thing’ to which the Donald—once again—deflects by saying ‘the legal scholars to whom he speaks suggests we can.’
Back in the old days, the Border Patrol routinely rounded up illegal aliens and deported them
What I know about rounding up illegal aliens and deporting them, I remember from the 1960s and 1970s in the restaurant industry here in California.  Back in those days, the INS agents went around various restaurants seeking illegal aliens to load onto their busses standing outside along the curb for processing and immediate deportation.
Prior to the moment the Border Patrol agents entered the front doors of the restaurants, an employee was not always clear as to whom was and who was not an illegal alien until the cry rang out in the kitchen: “La Migra, la Migra!”
The moment that frantic cry went up to the rafters,  man, 3,4,5, or more people would stop doing what they were doing, run to the backdoor of the kitchen, tearing off their aprons as they did so, and out into the arms of the awaiting immigration officers.
Once there, they would produce their documentation or not and the ones that did not pass the ‘smell test’ found themselves loaded aboard the green busses of the Border Patrol.
Fellow employees would wave goodbye to them and sometimes they would be back seeking their jobs within 3-4 weeks and sometimes not.
Back then, we had nowhere near as many illegal aliens as we do now
At the time, we did not have as many illegal aliens as we now do because the labor unions under the control of liberals and Democrats protected their workers and would not allow illegals to work in any industry other than in the fields and in professional kitchens.
I am sure there was some ‘nanny action,’ too, but we did not have illegals framing houses, putting on roofs, working in landscaping, yard work, tree services, carpentry, in industry, hell in everything the way we now do.
All one needs to do is to drive down to the local Home Depot and when you pull up to the outer fringes of the parking lot, one finds him-or-herself besieged by 10-20 desperate looking men and maybe even some women seeking day employment.  “Work, work,” they cry or if they just arrived and know little to no English, they cry, “Trabajo, trabajo!”
If we are short of a dishwasher, we hire them, give them less-than-minimum wage and allow them to eat off the plates that come back into the kitchen in the bus trays.  It sure saves us a whole lotta money, folks, and that is why we hire them.
Will Donald Trump keep his word or won’t he?
Ah, well, we never know whether politicians will keep their promises or not but I suspect that Donald Trump is puffed up like a blowfish, spits out all sorts of things without a care in the world.
We know that Joseph Goebbels said that if ‘you repeat the falsehood long enough and loud enough, people will believe it and fall in line.’  I think that is precisely what Donald Trump does, he continues spewing all of this trademark nonsense of his out that no one could keep straight in one’s mind nor could fulfill once they arrived in the White House unless, of course, they tear up the Constitution and throw it onto the trash heap.
Is this what we have to look forward to or will we have one of the diminishing group of worthy politicians such as Ted Cruz, Dr. Ben Carson or even John Kasich win the GOP nomination?
As for the Dems, it matters not who wins their nomination but at least, Bernie believes what he says whereas Hillary is nothing more than a LIAR, truth be told.
Please, join me at the secondary blog today and we will look at some Beverly Carrick artworks and perhaps discuss some election results.  Thanks for joining me today, I appreciate your patronage—God bless you all.
Thank you!

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 02, 2016
In 2008, the Spencer Davis Group released another live CD, “Essential Recordings Studio & Stage,” another great compilation album combining the band’s best studio cuts with some of their best live cuts.  In whatever form this group came—and believe us, if you lost Steve Winwood who sang the band’s biggest hits and did not immediately fold—then the group had staying power.  In fact, their ‘staying power’ lasted from the early 1960s until the present time.  Are the Beatles still around?  No.  Are the Rolling Stones still working?  Well, they are supposedly working on a new album.  What about the WhoThe KinksPink Floyd?  Any of them still here?  The answer is NO, just Spencer Davis Group and Eric Burdon and the Animals so please, seek this album out by going to Amazon.com where you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for YOU—you will thank us for sending you there.

  1. Wow, Marco Rubio has ONE win, he won Minnesota last night—that puts him up there with good old Jesse Ventura and Al Franken. I have to say that the Rubio group now is going to be out there pounding the drum that they are on the road to winning the whole enchilada or as we say here, the big kahuna, good for him. However, when everyone has had his or her say, the Republicans are going nowhere fast unless John Kasich drops out of the race and Dr. Carson joins him or becomes a Democrat and then Hillary’s vice president. Imagine that sort of a unification of the parties, the first woman in the White House (if Bernie cannot find a way to win BIGGER) and the second black American. I think it would be a winning ticket going up against Donald Trump. The more the GOP battles within itself, the better for us Democrats. My hope is that the battle continues within the once-Grand Old Party and it implodes, falls apart, leaving the Democrats as the sole remaining political power in the United States. / Posted by Chef Itzi Nakamura of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, posted @ 09:47 A.M.
