Farewell Fox News Channel, you made NO Bones about wanting to Destroy Donald Trump at the Thursday Night GOP Debate in Detroit City—I will watch YOU NO MORE!

WINTER SESSION 2015-16

BLOGPOST #1,931 AT THE AICP-END

The debate on Thursday night was a brutal affair
Ventura, CA, 03-05-2016 Saturday: Yesterday, Stinkbug did our Facebook posts and comments on my Friday post and he related something in the headlines that I mentioned to him shortly after the GOP debate ended on Thursday night.
I think the GOP is going to commence a ‘super delegate’ system of its own so that in the future—if they somehow manage to survive the Donald Trump-Ted Cruz-Dr. Ben Carson-and-Carly Fiorina insurgency candidacies, they will have a way of controlling who will and who will NOT win the nomination.
We must note that the last two candidates have left the race and that the other one still in the race whom some claim is an ‘insurgent,’ Marco Rubio is in reality an ‘establishment candidate’.
I think that should the first two—Trump and Cruz—flameout and lose their bid to be the nominee of the party in November the GOP will take whatever steps necessary to prevent all future insurgencies within their ranks and to make sure that whomever is next in line will get his or her shot.
The GOP fears Donald Trump and Ted Cruz
We know that the GOP mainstream is in a high state of fear because we saw how the Fox hacks went about their business of doing everything possible to devastate Donald Trump first and then Ted Cruz whenever they could.
Megyn Kelly more or less resumed where she left off in the first debate in which, she, Bret Baier, and Chris Wallace moderated and sought to take Trump out then.  It was so apparent what the game was on Thursday night in Detroit that I felt shock at seeing at how much the moderators did not care whether the viewing public saw it or not.
During the first hour, the FOX moderators did everything possible to derail the Donald
The moderators spent more time trying to tear Donald Trump apart that Ted Cruz and John Kasich literally went 15-20 minutes or longer or so it seemed to be before they had a question thrown their way.  In fact, I almost saw them as being the NEW Dr. Ben Carson in that the verbal battles flowed around them as they once did around the good doctor until occasionally receiving an opportunity to shag a question.
Marco Rubio, on the other hand, went after Trump at almost every opportunity and at times, I am amazed that Donald Trump did not plant one of his ‘tiny’ fists smack dab in the leering face of the do-nothing senator from Florida.
I think had that happened, most of the audience would have leaped to its feet in rousing applause it was that disgusting to watch because the moderators could care less how long the little punk was on the attack.
At first, it sounded as though the room was full of Rubio supporters—again!
Early on when the attacks pummeled the Donald one after the other, it sounded to me that there were more Rubio supporters in the audience than there were for anyone else.
I was so upset watching the attacks that even if I did not support Donald Trump, I would have said ‘enough!’
I went to the Fox News Website, checked the comments out on the debate page, and noted that most people shared the same outrage that I felt because it was such a blatant attempt at forcing Trump to lose his cool and go nuts.
It mattered not what the reason for driving him out was, whether the moderators sought to give him a ‘Howard Dean moment,’ a heart attack, or just causing him to throw his microphone down and walking off the stage.  To his credit, Mr. Trump stood there and absorbed the shrapnel giving it back whenever he could.
I am done with watching the FOX News Channel
As far as I concerned about watching the Fox News Channel in the future, I am not sure how I can.
Megyn Kelly pissed me the hell off after the first FNC debate and I gave up watching the channel then and her show especially.  Eventually, I returned because there are other shows that I enjoy watching but now, I am not so sure.
The ‘Fair and Balanced’ mantra seems to have gone by the wayside, now, it is attack-attack-attack Donald Trump and then Ted Cruz, I fear, all the while promoting and protecting Little Marco.
The respect I once held for FNC now has gone up in the smoke and I am surprised that there is not a widespread boycott of the station and especially of Megyn Kelly.
Megyn Kelly is a subpar host in the time slot she inhabits
I find Megyn Kelly to be subpar, someone who wormed her way into a show following a short stint of being a guest on various shows.
I think Bill O’Reilly—who, by the way appeared like death warmed over following the debate when he asked questions of each candidate—is the one who helped her obtain a show through whatever nefarious means the old anchor might have required from Kelly to get her there.
We all know that O’Reilly has had some problems with ‘sexual harassment’ of female employees at the channel as well as having learned that he lost custody of his kids—ouch.
Ms. Kelly somehow clawed her way up the ladder—via the ‘casting couch?’
Ms. Kelly moved up the corporate ladder extremely fast and we have all heard, I believe, that now, the pumped up little stick figure now dreams of landing one of the BIG 3 networks’ anchor jobs.
Somehow, I do not see that happening at all, however, because I do not see all of the ‘qualities’ her supporters claim she has unless those qualities are akin to what wannabe actresses did back in the Golden Age of Hollywood to land a coveted job, you know, the old casting couch.
We have seen images online of when Ms. Kelly did gigs for lingerie companies (or at least, that is what I think they are) where she used her body to push her up the ladder.  I know Fox thought they had yet another blond woman doing the news but she went up that ladder at a lightning rate.
I think if Fox did not expect their moderators to behave the way in which, they did, the channel needs to discipline them
In the end, I doubt anything will come of this, but Megyn Kelly as well as Bret Baier and Chris Wallace, all need to suffer some consequence—even though their superiors probably told them to go out there and take Mr. Trump down—for having been so blatant and obvious in their desire to destroy the billionaire.
I know that if I watch MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, and the main networks, I am going to see all sorts of political attacks without any sort of camouflage.  I did not expect to see it occur on Fox News, hoping the first time around was an aberration but I now know it was not—they want to wipe Donald Trump off the map, it is that obvious.
Farewell, Fox, you were the place to go for a long, long time whereas now, I think I will go to News Max or will watch the other channels because at least, they do not try to hide behind the veil of something they are not.
Please, leave some comments, let me know what you think, and we will debate this or any of the other issues we have shared over the past week.
Thank you!

SATURDAY, MARCH 05, 2016
The album we have for you today is the short-lived second British super group, the eponymous Blind Faith, which came out in 1969.  The band featured Steve Winwood (keyboards, vocals), Eric Clapton (guitars, vocals), Ginger Baker (drums and percussion—from Cream), and Ric Grech (bass—from the British group, Family).  Blind Faith was doomed from the start—the album was great, the music stellar, blues-rock at its best with a melding of the Cream-Traffic influences, something that should have made this band a long-time entity but it sadly did not.  It became Cream all over again, fans screamed, cheered, and went nuts whether the band played well or it did not and Clapton could not continue for more than several months.  For those who were fortunate enough to see the group in concert, they have memories that will last forever but for those who did not, this is the DVD of the famous Hyde Park show in London became available in 2008.  Please, use our link to go to Amazon.com so you can snap it up now in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you.

  1. The Thursday night debate on the Fox News Channel opened the eyes of everyone as to where the sympathies of the ownership lie. Many of us brushed off the first Fox debate as being somewhat of an aberration whereas now, we know that the ownership is firmly in the camp of the RINOS. Tomorrow, Chef Elvin concludes his week by saying the time is now to begin forming a strong third party and that reviving the Bull Moose Party of Teddy Roosevelt is the way to go. Bull moose are fierce animals and will attack anything that gets in their way, which is why we should breathe new life into a defunct one-time political party as if we do not, we will be forever trapped in the two-party debacle. I like Donald Trump and will support him despite what Fox and that putz, Mitt Romney says or does.
