The Dispute between the Pope and Donald Trump appalls me but I also believe that we have a Right to defend our Borders and to prevent Hordes of Criminal Illegal Aliens from flooding our Country

WINTER SESSION 2015-16

BLOGPOST #1,916 AT THE AICP-END

There are many Roman Catholics here in the Hawaiian Islands
Kihei, HI, 02-19-2016 Friday: Life never seems ever to get dull; I can tell you that for a fact.  I am a Roman Catholic here in Hawaii as are many of us with Mormonism coming in a close second among other Christian faiths.  When I heard that Pope Francis entered the 2016 Elections by slamming Donald Trump as being a ‘non-Christian since he wants to build a wall separating the United States from Mexico,’ I thought, ‘Wow, what a world in which, we live.’
I suspect that Mr. Trump has either said by the time this appears online or has already said that ‘the Pope is a loser’ and that ‘he is the worst pontiff in the history of the world.’  If he did not say this then I will say it for him as it is TRUE.
I do not care for ‘political correctness’
The people who read my posts on a regular basis understand that there are numerous things in my political views that sometimes make me seem to be a moderate or a RINO when in fact, I am a Democrat and have always been committed to leftwing politics.
However, I have to say that the things that bother me is the political correctness we see outlawing or urging us to not say or do things because they are not “PC.”  I think people have a right to say what they want because the First Amendment does protect freedom of speech.
I therefore have no problem with people saying things hurtful about this group or that because, after all, they have the right to say what they will regardless of whether it hurts a group or criticizes their practices.’
We are tired of the illegal aliens invading our state
In saying that, I have no problem with what Donald Trump has said about building a wall between the United States and Mexico because I, as a Democrat, am somewhat tired of illegal aliens overrunning the country.
It costs us approximately $155 million per year here in Hawaii to care for the illegals that keep coming here either through devious means or because the government or mainland state governments send them here with one-way tickets.
Jobs are hard enough to find as it is for our young people without having to compete with illegals that pitch tents on the backside of Haleakala and live in poverty.  Add to that the crime factor and the spreading of diseases we had vanquished and it outrages many of us and so the siren’s song sung by Donald Trump attracts many Hawaiian voters.
If Bernie or Hillary goes down and we get Trump, I can accept it
If Bernie falls by the wayside or Hillary somehow manages to claw her way out of the pit into which, she has put herself and loses to a Republican, I hope it is the Democrat-in-disguise Donald Trump.
Oh, sure, I may not enjoy hearing some of the brutal things the big bully says but if he will send the illegals back to Mexico, then I—your compassionate host—says, “HE could be the candidate for me.”
I want someone to send illegal aliens back from whence they originated, I am tired of the crime, the filth, the disease, and the ignorance they bring to our overstressed education system here in Hawaii.
I am not a bigot for saying this either—NO MORE ILLEGALS, PLEASE!
Returning to Pope Francis
Back to Pope Francis, I was not thrilled when he somehow found enough cardinals to move Pope Benedict aside and take his place.  I respect the pontiffs on most of the things they say keeping in line with the long-held doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church but criticizing Mr. Trump and his desire to build a wall between the USA and Mexico bothers the heck out of me.
I mean, Pope Francis lives behind walls all around the Vatican City that rise for 40-feet or higher so how can he criticize someone who wants to make immigration a LEGAL and ORDERLY process?
We do have a right to choose who comes in and who does not into our own country but according to Francis, it is a sin to feel this way.  I am not big on sin, thinking it is part of the human condition and since the pope now says it is ‘okay to use contraception in certain places,’ well, I do not believe the Lord told him that—no, he said it himself.
It bothers me the pope came to our southern border and blasted us on immigration policy
Something else bothering me today at the time of this writing is the idea that he came to our southern border and prayed for whatever it was for which he was praying, that illegal aliens could make it safely across the desert and into safety in the United States.
Why did he not pray for Mexico not to be a SHITTY place so the peasants could stay there instead of bringing illegal alien criminals, disease, and drugs into our country?  I do not think the pope would be pleased if illegal aliens were storming the Vatican, raping the nuns, selling drugs to the weak, and spreading all sorts of diseases within his sanctuary that the Vatican probably has not seen in centuries.
I respect the men and women of God BUT!
I respect men and women of God but I also fear that having turned to the Southern Hemisphere to find a pontifical candidate opens the doors to all sorts of anarchy among the impoverished peoples of the world.
By the pope telling the poor that the United States is BAD for not allowing them in and then encouraging them to come despite the fact that we have laws rubs me the wrong way.  I sure do hope that Donald Trump continues fighting back against Francis challenging him on his faith.
In the end, NO one knows what faith Donald Trump practices
I do not know what faith Mr. Trump truly has—or if he has any—but it is not up to Pope Francis to accuse someone of ‘being a bad Christian’ simply because that person wants to enforce the nation’s laws.
I would hope the pope would begin telling people such as Raul and Fidel Castro to demonstrate their religious faith by releasing all of their political prisoners and allowing their people to vote for new leaders.
I doubt we will ever hear the pontiff telling any world dictator any such thing, which is extremely sad.  Christians of all stripes must stand up and decry what the pope has said and to defend Donald Trump for speaking his mind.
Thanks for joining me today; we welcome the views of everyone.
Aloha.
Thank you!

  1. Chef Itzi discusses the ongoing issue between GOP candidate Donald Trump and Pope Francis debating the issue of illegal aliens in America. One must ask WHY the pontiff wants millions of Third World refuse flowing into the country when it makes more sense for them to remain home. If they stay at home, they do not put their lives in danger whereas if they pay los coyotes to bring them across, not only do they see their women raped by those they pay to bring them across, they suffer robbery, beatings, and murder as well as seeing their children suffer rapes, too. I think the reason WHY Pope Francis wants them to come to the USA is to convert our nation from Free Market economic principles to socialism, something Pope Francis seems to enjoy. This is what happens when the Vatican allows the cardinals to pick a Third World socialist to lead the church. As Trump says, ‘when the ISIS thugs attack the Vatican—something they have indeed said they plan to do—Pope Francis will WISH that Donald Trump was in the White House. The billionaire is the ONLY one promising to defend Christendom from the savages seeking to destroy it. Thanks for joining us today, let us know what you think and we will debate the issue. / Posted by Chef Elmer K.
