Last Night, the BEST Four Candidates seeking the GOP Nomination for President were on the EARLY Debate and not the LATTER—unfortunately, the ONLY Thing the Media discussed is where is Donald Trump

WINTER SESSION 2015-16

BLOGPOST #1,895 AT THE AICP-END

If you want a good GOP candidate, look at someone from the EARLY debate
Oildale, CA, 01-29-2016 Friday: Here is the deal: if you want to vote for a qualified candidate for president on the Republican Party ticket, look to one of the four on the early debate platform, the one featuring Governors Mike Huckabee and Jim Gilmore, as well as Senator Rick Santorum and business CEO Carly Fiorina.  The four of them are passionate, have excellent ideas and I am sure that a combination of two among the four would make one hell of a ticket.  The moderators, Bill Hemmer and Martha MacCallum did a splendid job and I must say that listening to Senator Santorum in the opening comments explain why their numbers are low is because the pundits discussed nothing but ‘will Donald Trump show up for the late debate or won’t he’ instead of discussing them and their take on the issues.   I have to admit, I agree wholeheartedly with the Pennsylvanian because he is RIGHT.
Governor Jim Gilmore is a great candidate—you most likely will hear that comment only at this blog
If you want a rock-solid man who believes in the military, the intelligence community, and removing the sequester that has made it vulnerable to losing in a first strike attack from abroad, then Governor Gilmore is the man for you.  He served in the U.S. military overseas during the Cold War, a Russian specialist, he knows the minds of thugs such as Vladimir Putin and the criminal hacks and cronies surrounding and supporting him.
What’s more, he was the governor of Virginia during the horrendous attacks of September 11, 2001, and he understands what it takes to defend the country from all threats, both at home and abroad.  Yet, until now, the media has managed to keep him out of the debates so people only see the potential candidates the media would love for us to vote.  I say that that is wrong and I say it is a good thing that Governor Gilmore made it at least into the early debate.  Who knows?  Perhaps following the Iowa Caucus on Monday, maybe he will move his numbers UP.
Senator Santorum is another man with the credentials to be president
Rick Santorum is another man who has solid defense credentials as well as understanding of intelligence issues.  The sad thing is, Donald Trump is the man who has dominated the debates on the GOP side by first saying the things millions of Americans wanted to hear, that Washington is corrupt, that he will deport the millions of illegals lurking in the shadows sucking away the lifeblood of the nation.
He further says he will fight the caliphate because he knows what the nation needs to do and how we should do it.  I have never doubted Senator Santorum or his ability much less his sincerity and I hope that one among the four of the early group will manage to shock the electorate when Iowans go to the polls on Monday—let’s see a major shakeup, I think it could happen.  It would stun the nation.
Carly Fiorina is another potential president with the ability to lead the nation
Carly Fiorina is strong candidate and I believe she could go up against Hillary Clinton head-to-head and come out looking like a rose.  Hillary Clinton is a charade, she is a cardboard cutout character who claims she wants to be the third term of Obama when in fact, she could be very worse.  The woman always wears these pantsuits reminiscent of Chairman Mao, which should enlighten everyone seeking to know who and what this woman is: a communist.
Any of the four early debaters has the ability and the credentials to go against any of the Democrats but when the news media discusses whether or not Donald Trump is going to show up or not at the debate and do it the entire day, who pays attention to anyone else?  I think the guy is going to drop out of the race when he sees the opportunity to do so because he cannot handle the competition much less the intensity of the moderators.
Now, Rush Limbaugh seems to be favorable to Trump
Now, I know Rush Limbaugh tends to disagree with this assessment of Trump but not because he supports the man, but because he believes, the billionaire has some ulterior motive and utilizes the press for some hidden agenda.  As Governor Gilmore pointed out during the early debate, it is clear that the media has its favorites and makes sure that they get the spotlight as much as they can give them.
I mean, Bill O’Reilly spent a good segment on Wednesday night’s “O’Reilly Factor,” begging Trump to ‘do the debate,’ I almost puked my guts.  What is wrong with Fox News in general and O’Reilly in particular bowing down to this putz, this schlemiel, this chump, pleading with him to do the debate?  Did he do this because the revenue Fox can charge for their commercial segments goes way DOWN instead of UP, thereby lining the pockets of all of the schmoes on that network?
Bill O’Reilly is a schmuck as are many of the regulars he has on his show—Charles Krauthammer?  Really?  The man is a RINO!
Speaking of Bill O’Reilly, once the early debate concluded, his segment came on and not a word about the early debaters but only whether or not Donald Trump was hurting himself when Charles Krauthammer joined him.
Look, we cannot care about a petulant, spoiled child, we should not wring our hands together with tears running down our cheeks wondering if this brat is going to hurt himself or if it will make him more popular?
Sadly, when Bill asked the early debate moderators Hemmer and MacCallum whether the four early candidates thought they had a chance, the pair answered in the negative that they know they do not.  Yet, one of the reasons they do not have a chance is because schlubs such as O’Reilly never talk about them, only about the Donald so go figure.
I believe Trump seeks a way out of the race
As I said yesterday, my belief is that Donald Trump now seeks an open door out of the race and if he has to cloak himself in the American flag by doing something for the veterans as he said and which, coincidentally began one hour prior to the MAIN debate, because he never intended to win it.
He only intended to be the Ross Perot figure that damages the GOP so that a Clinton can win as the Texas oil billionaire did in 1992 and again in 1996 when he upset any chance Bob Dole might have had.
No one else has mentioned this idea but as someone who has been around as long as I have and who has watched politics for more years than most people have been alive, I know of what I speak.  It is too ‘similar.’
Unfortunately, I am not clairvoyant
I do not know what is going to happen or whether or not Trump will sail through or suffer a major hit for being a schmutz, only time is going to tell that.  What we cannot have is someone who as president would make the political discourse worse than anything we have seen heretofore in the country and folks we have seen some bad stuff under the command of Barack Hussein Obama.  I hope I am wrong about all of this because there are things that are attractive underneath Donald Trump but the entire package does not look very good.   God help us.
