FALL SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,851 AT THE AICP-END

Last Night, the GOP held yet another Debate
Oildale, CA, 12-16-2015 Wednesday: Last night, CNN hosted the fifth GOP debate and by now, I hope we are becoming clearer as to who should continue in the race and who should not.  Leading up to it, Donald Trump, the billionaire and reality TV show star acknowledged that his opponents would come after him, seeking to take him out so the REAL politicians—the ones we despise—can have a go at it.  Regardless, I was looking forward to watching the entire affair because I always love seeing people get their butts kicked, especially when they say ignorant things.  The only thing that made me unhappy is that CNN did the hosting and I expected them to come out and to find ways with which, to tarnish the candidates so the liberals can have a hand in picking the GOP candidate, the one they believe their nominee—Hillary—will be able to clobber in the general election.
The Undercard maybe should not even be in the Debates, there are too many people already so when does the RNC begin thinning the herd
The undercard of the debate featured four men all in the LOW numbers.  There is the stalwart former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, former New York Governor George Pataki, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.  On the one hand, one wonders why the four even bother to debate whereas on the other hand, I know each of them—well, maybe not Senator Graham because NO one knows why he is in the race—hopes for that big breakthrough moment.  Pataki is a liberal Republican whereas Huckabee is a good old boy, country conservative who spouts religious fervor at every turn.  Santorum did well in 2008 and in 2012 but never made it over the top while Graham is a hack.  All of them are in low digits and WHY CNN will not include former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore in this debate is beyond me as if you are going to have this batch of four, why not add the fifth and final member, too.
We knew from the earlier debate that the majority of the candidates are going after Donald Trump

Last night’s debate is one that featured national security in general and the war on terror including ISIS and the massacre in San Bernardino, California, and once opening statements concluded, moderator Wolf Blitzer opened the debate with what Trump said about ‘barring Muslims.’  Senator Graham said Trump in effect was ‘declaring war on ALL of Islam.’  In saying that, he did not recognize the fact that Trump did not mean ALL Muslims but only the ones coming from places where there is Islamic strife or people fighting against us.  Senator Graham conceded he would support the nominee of the party while letting the audience know that the senator is the one best capable of defending the nation.  Governor Pataki labeled Trump the “No-Nothing candidate of the race’ referring the old political party that once sought to prevent Catholics from entering the fledgling nation.
As the Main Debate loomed, it was clear the media wanted to go after Donald Trump and possibly Ted Cruz
We will discuss the earlier debate on Friday and Saturday then return to the main debate on Sunday.  In anticipation of the main bout, it never fails to amaze me how blabbering heads on CNN drone on and on about ‘going after Muslims is a bad thing.’  Look, during the last world war, we went after the foes who opposed us--it was what we had to do.  What Barack Obama wants to do—bring in thousands of so-called refugees who will never assimilate at best and who will hate us or whose progeny will—makes no sense to anyone with half a brain.  Yet, that was the opening question of the second, main round, throwing what Donald Trump said out there like red meat to starving dogs, then allowing Jeb Bush and others to jump on the man.
What the liberal talking heads miss is that Islam is DANGER to the United States and our way of life
The thing the liberal and so-called ‘conservative talk radio host, Hugh Hewitt, seem to miss is that we are at war with a large part of Islam.  Statistics prove that a good-sized percentage of American Muslims ‘agree’ with many of the ideas of their more radical brethren such as ‘suicide bombings’ and instituting ‘Sharia law.’  The second cause of disagreement was who was favorable to collecting the data of Americans and who was against it.  Rand Paul clearly sought to pummel both Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz who in turn scrapped back and defended their positions.  Once that debate concluded, they came back around to how to take down Trump and the billionaire business mogul stood his ground drawing enthusiastic applause.
It is clear that Marco Rubio wants to knock out Ted Cruz while Rand Paul and Jeb Bush want to destroy Donald Trump—not working, folks, not working
Then, the next question popping up was Ted Cruz and his remarks about carpet-bombing ISIS, its capital, and anyone located near it.  You know, when I was a young person, we watched the Allies firebomb the crap out of both Germany and Japan.  The best way to win a war is to KNOCK the enemy out as quickly as possible as that saves the lives of everyone.  Yes, we do not want to destroy the area to the point that it glows in the dark for the next two centuries.  However, we do want them to stop attacking us and to remember for the next ten generations that attacking the United States and its allies is NOT the way anyone should choose to go—including other potential or real enemies watching the battle from the sidelines.
The Second Big Battle exists between Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio (and maybe Rand Paul)
It became clear that the second battle was the one between Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.  Senator Rubio wanted to clobber the Texas lawmaker with his views on protecting privacy rights while doing the most damage to the enemy.  No wonder Senator Rubio is eclipsing the crumbling Jeb Bush so it is clear he is what the mainstream GOP political bosses want, which is WHY we need to keep an eye on Rubio.  Jeb, still has some fight left in him and tried to diminish Trump but in so doing, Trump fought back and gave him a ‘black eye’ and a ‘bloody nose.’  It is clear to me that this is the ‘do or die’ moment for the former Florida governor, which is why he must make some stab at survival or leave the race for good.
It appears that the moderator and the financiers are the ones attempting to choose who will be our final 2-3 candidates and the one they want out of the race is of course, Donald Trump
Something else I see happening in this debate is the moderator—Wolf Blitzer—seeking to make the fight between Donald Trump, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and poor old Jeb.  They continue pushing Dr. Carson, Carly Fiorina, the babbling John Kasich, and even Chris Christie to the far ends of the solar system.  Ms. Fiorina had to ask Wolf to give her a question, which he finally did after allowing Rubio to run on for another four-five minutes.  Seems like the pundits in league with the money moguls are picking and choosing who they want in the final fight next January.  Is it fair or is it not, I do not know because there are many good candidates but at some point, the voters will need to winnow the herd, not the moderators and not the money-bagged aristocracy seeking to eject Trump and put Jeb in the nomination.
The Money-baggers want to give the nomination to Jeb, to remove, and to embarrass Trump forever…
Another good jab occurred when Wolf Blitzer asked Ted Cruz if he would rather have Saddam Hussein, Moammar Gaddafi, and Hosni Mubarak in power than what we now have.  Folks, I think the ENTIRE world would be in better shape if the three dictators were still in power because like it or not—that is how the flipping Middle East seems to remain at peace.  We do not like these thugs, we do not like what they do to people they rule but what we despise is having far worse scumbags such as ISIS running amok killing not only people over there but here in the United States, too.  Had George W. Bush left Saddam Hussein in power, we would not have the Iranian threat we now have and it is important to note that Jeb supports his brother 100-percent.  So now, we still want to remove Bashar al-Assad—that is what the gum-flapping fool John Kasich wants to do.
We will stop here for today…
I will end my post here for today because I do not want to go endlessly on and on, at some point, 'nuff said.'  Tomorrow, however, we will take a break as I answer a dopey opinion piece that appeared in the local newspaper on November 30.  A local music teacher made some horrifyingly stupid remarks that Hitler was a ‘devout Christian’ and that he used that ‘devoutness’ as a means of persecuting the Jews, gays, Trannys, and whatever else he chose to punish.  That is absolute bull crap, folks, I am forced to answer it but then on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we will discuss this debate as I believe it to be one of the most important ones yet.  Then, next week, we will discuss the Democrat debate that will happen this Saturday night while Saturday Night Football takes place…I guess they want NO one to see it.  Have a great day, I will see you tomorrow.  Bye.

Thank you!

The next album by Traffic is one of their all-time best, “The Low Spark of the High-Heeled Boys” (1971).  The band consisted of everyone from their preceding album, “Welcome to the Canteen” but without Dave Mason.  The CD became popular with the fans and received a great deal of airplay on BOTH AM and FM stations.  Jim Capaldi did the vocals on two songs, something he had done only once before with one of them, “Light Up or Leave Me Alone,” becoming a major radio hit.  If you want to hear, what we consider is the best effort that this band ever recorded then this album is the one that you need to buy.  You can get it by using our link to go to Amazon.com where you can get it in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you.  You will be glad you did, we guarantee it.

  1. Moses Scharbug III discusses the GOP debate of last night, the one we watched in Las Vegas. The early debate was a good one while the second main bout debate was amazing. It would appear to me that Senator Lindsey Graham strains to be on the big boy stage but whether he will get there or not simply is unknown to anyone at this point. All I can say is that at some point, people are going to have to leave the race, this many people cannot continue competing until the convention. If that is the case, then bring back Governors Scott Walker and Rick Perry as well as bring former Governor Jim Gilmore of Virginia up to the opening tier so we can see what he has to say as well as bring back Bobby Jindal. As for the Democrats, their debate this Saturday night is going to be a sleeper and that is precisely what DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz wants: Hillary all the way. Leave some comments, thank you and God bless. / Posted by Chef Vladimir Gdansk, Mukilteo, WA, of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day,
