FALL SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,856 AT THE AICP-END

If I were a Democrat, I would be angry with Debbie Wasserman-Schultz
Oildale, CA, 12-21-2015 Monday: If I was a Democrat—and when I was younger, I was—I would be angry, disgusted, ready to go on the warpath against the ‘behind-the-scenes’ leaders of the party.  I am talking about the blabbermouth chair of the Democrat National Committee, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the woman who rides roughshod on the party faithful and who does her best to HIDE the Democrat presidential candidates as much as possible.
It seems the DNC Chair wants Hillary to be the ONLY one…
Saturday night was the third ‘debate’ between the three remaining Democrat hopefuls—Hillary Rodham-Clinton, Bernie Sanders and what’s-his-face, Martin O’Malley.  Did you know that, did anyone tell you this?  Even in the local newspaper, the amount of time ABC blocked out for the debate appeared as “to be announced.”  Why is the chair of the DNC so adamant about concealing the debates, why is she so determined to make sure that as time begins to flow as time always does, the Democrat faithful have little to no chance to hear an honest debate on the issues between the three?  Do the Democrats so want Hillary Clinton to be the party’s ‘standard-bearer’ that they willingly use un-Democratic processes to guarantee she has the nomination without truly having to fight for it?
Why does Debbie Wasserman-Schultz want to do this?
The way I see it, Wasserman-Schultz wants to hand the nomination over to Hillary and wants NO one—I repeat, NO one—to get in the way of it.  Bernie Sanders may have drawn massive crowds over the summer but now, the party has relegated him to a backwater, one clearly out of the public view unless it occurs somewhere in the New England region, a place where the grizzled old socialist senator still has a following.  The other competitor, former Maryland governor and Baltimore Mayor Martin O’Malley, he may as well be competing from the surface of Mars, very few know how well he came off in the preceding debate where he smoked the other two—did you know that?
There is DANGER in this strategy from at least TWO sides…
There is danger in this strategy and what’s more, there is the possibility that President Obama has a hand in this, something I will explain shortly.  If Debbie Wasserman-Schultz wants to anoint Hillary sans allowing anyone else to compete for the nomination while the GOP still has 12 candidates fighting for the nomination of their party, she will become a punching bag for the next 11.5 months.  Worse, the more she has to speak in answer to the charges her opponents hurl at her, the less people like her.  Who wants a daily reminder of either their ex-wife or a belligerent and bellicose mother screaming at them—sure as hell not me, I assure you.  There is also danger for the DNC chairperson, too, in brazenly and dishonestly promotes a candidate who is going to lose and lose big, her time in the chair will end and she will find herself relegated to a political backwater.
I also think Barack Obama does not want Hillary to win and here is why:
The other theory I have is that Barack Obama does NOT want a Democrat to win the nomination.  As he has pointed out on several occasions, when he leaves office, he intends to remain in Washington, D.C., ostensibly to see his kids finish school there but more likely to keep an eye on things.  For him, it is better to see a Republican win the White House because then when he or she attempts to overturn or to throw out entire packets of his doings, he can head to the microphones held in the willing hands of the news media.  There, he can blast them and can continue to exert control over his party to fight the GOP on virtually every attempt they make to overthrow all things Obama.  If Hillary wins, he may not be able to exert the control he so desires to do, which might be bad for his legacy, especially if she outdoes him on everything liberal.
Senator Sanders does continue to draw crowds…
The pre-show debate alluded to some interesting facts that Senator Bernie Sanders continues to draw crowds comparable to those Donald Trump draws on the GOP side.  The moderators in their pre-show show also alluded to a much more painful fact that the lead Hillary Clinton has over Senator Sanders is almost identical to the one she had over then-Senator Barack Obama back in 2007.  Many saw Obama as an upstart candidate in 2008 and Hillary the clear winner without a doubt until as we all know the young senator from Illinois smoked her over the course of the next year.  In fact, we know or should know that had not Rush Limbaugh and his ‘Operation Chaos’ kept her in the race by having GOP voters—who already knew Mitt Romney was going to be the nominee--crossover to vote for her in primaries, she would have been out much sooner than she was.
All the hacks sitting on the sideline of Saturday night’s debate sure seem to want Hillary…
In watching the run-up to Saturday night’s debate, I could not but help note that it seems clear to me that all the Democrat hacks commenting on the debate—George Stephanopoulos, Matthew Dowd, Donna Brazile, Ana Navarro, and Jonathan Karl—want to see Hillary win the bid.  Add to that their condemnation of Donald Trump for his statements on well, everything, as well as their dislike of him for once being a Democrat but their desire to run against him or Ted Cruz, adds fuel to the debate fire.  The hacks claim that they fear Marco Rubio but my longevity has told me that the Dems always tell us whom they fear by either saying they can beat someone without nary a sweat followed by whom they ‘fear’ and it is clear to me they fear BOTH Trump and Cruz but think they can beat Rubio easily.
We will discuss the debate tomorrow but I will leave you with a thought…
In closing for today, we will leap into the debate tomorrow full blast and on Wednesday or Thursday will discuss something else near and dear to my heart.  I want to discuss how the Western World now has become ‘the savages in the jungle’ that our forebears once minimized as little more than animals because of the piercings, tattoos, unnaturally colored coifs, you name it, we have become it.  I will leave you with this thought to contend, why would we do this 2-3 centuries after our distant European relatives plunged into the ‘Dark Continent’ to pillage it blindly, how have we become the apparent savages?  We abort children, we murder one another, and we become freaks and monsters, what the heck has happened to our country and our culture?  See you tomorrow, have a great Monday, bye.
Thank you,

In 1972, Steve Winwood released his first solo album (or at least his record company did while he was recuperating from peritonitis), entitled, “Winwood.”  This two-LP set is one that includes the musical crème de la crème from the beginning of his career as a member of the Spencer Davis Group through the time with his band, Traffic, up until this point in time: 1972.  This is a wonderful way to become a fan of the musician as well as the two bands, which is why we urge you to seek this album out by using our link to go to Amazon.com so you can pick it up there in LP form—you will be glad you did.
