CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR’S EVE WEEK EDITION 2015

WINTER SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,860 AT THE AICP-END

CHRISTMAS DAY! PEACE ON EARTH, GOOD WILL TO HUMANITY!

Merry Christmas!
Oildale, CA, 12-25-2015 Friday: Merry Christmas from an old Jew, folks.  I love the day, it is a great time and as someone with Jews and Christians in the family, we celebrate the holiday, too.  I know I generally have in the past elected to be here so everyone could celebrate the holiday with their loved ones, this year, I wrote everything in advance because the Democratic debate from Saturday, December 19, 2015, had a great deal of fodder for we the interested few to discuss.  I am sorry that we still find ourselves discussing this debate because most everyone else has blown if off as yet another unimportant, unseen, and most likely forgettable event but not I or your hosts here at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day.
We discussed ‘First Husbands’ and ‘First Ladies’…
After returning to an earlier discussion regarding ‘regime change’ of despots, and how to confront ISIS in both North Africa and the Middle East, we somehow came to the discussion of the wives or possible husband of the president.  Hillary said that she most likely will continue to pick the China patterns for state dinners but thinks that Bill Clinton—the former president—should have a greater role.  Senator Sanders praised his wife as did Martin O’Malley who noted that his wife is a working Maryland judge but if she wants an office in the White House then she will have one.  As he says, Katie O’Malley will be able to do whatever Katie O’Malley wants to do, as she is an accomplished woman deserving of respect and praise.
We could not overlook Tweets sent out by Jeb
As we approached the end of the debate, George Stephanopoulos, they brought up Tweets that Jeb Bush and some of the others sent out but commented on the fact that Donald Trump had remained silent at the time seeing as how he was the ONLY one the candidates mentioned by name.  The Republicans have been and still are angry over what then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama did in Libya, a place that did not need ‘regime change’ but one they gave it and one which cost the life of Moammar Ghaddafi.  Hillary Clinton made the now famous statement, ‘we came, we saw, he died’ referring to the brutal death of a head of state, something many of us at the time cringed at as it was so ‘un-American.’  American leaders typically do not celebrate the brutal demise of a national leader the way they did that of Ghaddafi.
‘We came, we saw, he died’…Hillary at her best…
Closing statements saw Senator Sanders go first and he congratulated his fellow candidates and noted that ANY of them would be better than the ‘right wing extremists.’  He noted that his father emigrated to the U.S. from Poland and that they lived in rent-controlled apartment in Brooklyn.  His mother and father celebrated the fact that they sent both of their sons to college, a first in their family.  He concluded by noting that he wants to help the majority of Americans but not the (evil) wealthy who (suck the country dry of its blood).
Governor O’Malley had a positive outlook towards the future under his administration…
Governor O’Malley had a bright outlook as to the future of the country and mentioned that the GOP is about ‘anger and fear,’ all one has to do is to recall their recent debate.  He thinks we can welcome all who want to come to America and that in so doing we can help not only them but our own children.  He finished by promoting his plan to save America from Climate Change and said his plan will move us away from the fossil fuels causing the greatest catastrophe facing our country in centuries.
Hillary never missed an opportunity to hammer Republicans…
Hillary hammered Republicans saying that if the GOP takes over, they will harm vets, close Planned Parenthood, she noted that this election is a ‘watershed election’ for America and that if the Republicans win the White House, it will end the nation as we know it.  She mentioned ‘God’ and said, “let the force be with you” which elicited mass applause from the audience.  The candidates shook hands with the moderators and then with their families, with the pundits saying this was ‘the best night any of them had.’  They even praised Senator Sanders for his stance on refusing to conduct ‘regime change’ on leaders with whom we disagree but after the night ended, who will know or remember that?
Donna Brazile thought Hillary did the best…
Donna Brazile congratulated Hillary Clinton’s stance on how we as Americans must proceed that she has a grand vision for the future of the country and that is why we must get a Democrat into the White House.  One of them said that the Republicans are cowering in their fear of the strength exhibited by the Democrat candidates, which sounds sort of ‘bellicose’ to me.  They said that Donald Trump is going to benefit from this debate and that his voters will stand behind him and coalesce around him.  The rest of them can go shake and shiver in their fear and awe of the Dems.  Wow.
This was the best debate by far on the Democrat side of the aisle…
I think the Democrats did well, this was their BEST debate so far but again, as with what I said on Monday and Tuesday, Democrat National Chairperson Debbie Wasserman-Schultz clearly wants Hillary Clinton to be the nominee, otherwise, WHY not put the debate on at prime time Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday night?  That is something SHE will have to answer for, especially if the eventual GOP nominee pummels the hell out of her in the general election next November 2016.  If I were either Senator Bernie Sanders or Governor O’Malley, I would have my surrogates out there slamming Wasserman-Schultz for being the piece of feculence she is.  I mean, if a chairperson of any political party was in the tank for one of its members to win the nomination, she certainly is.
We will discuss the de-evolution of America tomorrow…
Folks, have a very merry Christmas and we will meet tomorrow for the long-delayed discussion on how we in America have become the savages our forebears once called the Native Americans and the people of the ‘Dark Continent,’ the derogatory term they once used for the people living in Sub-Saharan Africa.  The number of piercings, tattoos, even tattooed whites of the eyes as well as the implantation of horns, is this the way life in the 21st Century is going to be?  Man, I am telling you, I think few if any of us ever saw something as horrendous as what we see happening among the people of today happening.  I hope at some point, we can return to the ways of old that made us the greatest nation on Earth rather than falling into an uncivilized decline.  Maybe the jihadists will overthrow us one day and for good reason—we have ‘devolved’ as Devo once said we would.  See you tomorrow.

Welcome to the Christmas edition of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, the blog where we do our best to discuss the politics of the day and do it from a professional chef’s point of view. Just as in professional restaurants, we work seven days a week, most restaurants are open seven days a week and so is the blog. We may not write gobs of posts every single day but what we do is offer unique opinions and also portals to numerous other blogs around the world for easy reading. Please, join us today as Moses finishes his five-day discussion of the last Democrat debate, where on Earth would you see that anywhere else?—Nowhere but here, that is where. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I will meet you all again sometime in 2016 as we begin the countdown to Election Day. God bless and take care! / posted by Chef Charles Smithenstein of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, posted @ 12:10 A.M. PST
