FALL SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,822 AT THE AICP-END

It has been 150 years since the institution of slavery existed in this nation yet to listen to some minorities, you would think it still did in many parts of the country
Bakersfield, CA, 11-17-2015 Tuesday: A week from Thursday, we will celebrate Thanksgiving across the nation, a holiday most people love and enjoy but there are always a few who whine and snivel about the meaning of it, citing America’s founding sin, slavery.  You know, I have studied a great deal about history, being a voracious reader in the precious off hours I have from the job because I want to learn, I want knowledge, and I want to be informed.  Way too many of modern-day folks including the Generation X-er’s and the Millennials have no idea that almost every nation at the time the United States had slaves had slaves, too.
Some nations ended slavery before the United States did and some after but no one talks about them…
Slavery is not something that separates us from everyone else, no slavery is something that numerous nations shared in, engaged in, and thought little to nothing about it.  The British gave up slavery first, stopping the Atlantic Slave Trade; however, they had slaves in their colonies, as did most other European powers.  Nations in South America had slaves, too, although the Spanish-speaking realms gave it up much sooner than did either the United States of Portuguese-speaking Brazil.  Both that nation and Cuba maintained the institution into the latter part of the 1800s without a care in the world regarding the sordid institution and it is only in recent times that the Western World surrendered its part in it.
In the Middle East, slavery persists to this day
However, other nations such as Middle Eastern potentates such as Saudi Arabia did not give it up until sometime in the 1960s and have replaced it by bringing in thousands of low-wage earners from the Philippines, Indonesia, and other impoverished regions surrounding the Indian Ocean and/or the Pacific.  Middle Eastern and North African nations had slaves from the dawn of time and the first war the young United States fought was against the Muslim nations of North Africa who captured our ships and enslaved the crews because they were Christians.
Where one finds ‘Islam,’ one typically finds ‘slavery’
In Africa, wherever there is Islam, one finds slavery as they perceive nothing to be wrong with enslaving ‘infidels,’ putting them into lifelong bondage as workers, as sex slaves, and as household servants for the wealthy.  I do not see the United Nations busting its balls to go out and crack down on this despicable happening because it seems that when it comes to Islam, they tread softly and tend to shy away from confrontation.  In ISIS-controlled areas of Syria and Iraq, it is acceptable for ISIS soldiers and officers to buy and sell slaves to do whatever they demand of them to do with little to no outrage from the West.  Oh, sure, there are some who raise their voices but nothing ever seems to come of it, the world is frightened to death by the jihadists overrunning the region.
The jihadists make no bones about wanting to enslave ‘infidels’
Here in America while the Black Lives Matter crew marches through the streets, demanding an end to mistreatment of their people yet numerous street gangs, thugs, and punks run women in human trafficking rings with no second thoughts whatsoever.  Sexual slavery is by far one of the worst scourges our modern world has ever seen and yet the outcry from the blacks, Latinos, and other minority groups is quiet, subdued, and on many occasions, mute.  People do not want to talk about it, they want to be quiet about it, they do not want to make waves, they would rather divert our attention to how bad WHITEY treats the BLACKS in this country, something that was much better until this president came along and made a mess out of everything!
I hope that Life after Obama brings positive change to the entire world…
My hope is that LIFE AFTER OBAMA—LAO—will see this despicable institution go away and that sanity is going to return.  We have numerous federal, state, and local police agencies and it seems to me that there is little to nothing that we can do to make things ‘right’ for the complainers by putting the slavery issue to rest for the last fricking time.  I know it is not about slavery for real, it has been 150 years since the institution existed so there is NO one alive today in the country that has a relative who remembers being a slave.  I think that being the case, we should be able to find a way to move beyond this insanity but it is going to take a great leader to help us accomplish this much-needed task.
It will take a great leader to help us fix the messes of the past 16 years…

PLEASE BUY ALL OF THE ALBUMS WE ADVERTISE AT AMAZON.COM!
PLEASE SEE MUSICAL ALBUMS AT THE END OF THE BLOG
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END
Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.
We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blog site.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!
Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms.
To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-374-1430; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own! God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
I think we need to move beyond the negatives of our earlier history to something better for all of us…
It is not every day one receives a ‘lecture’ from a chef but folks; we need to get past the idea that we had slavery in this nation for 300-plus years.  We had indentured servants, we had child labor, we had young people working in mines, factories, and in the fields.  Over the course of time, we moved beyond each of these accepted things to something newer and something better.  Every nation has moments in its historical record that it would rather forget; we had a history of racism while Germany had a history of Nazism, things everyone wants to forget.  It seems to me we are the ONLY nation beating itself up repeatedly and over time when we should be attempting to move beyond that dark history to something better for ALL of us.  Let me know what you think, I would love to hear your comments.  Tomorrow, we will begin looking at political cartoons because this week and next are holiday weeks.  Bye.
The Closing Words of our Founder, Stinkbug:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by the Who, John Entwistle, Keith Moon, Pete Townsend, Roger Daltrey, Jefferson Airplane, THE JEFFERSON STARSHIP, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.
As everyone knows, we love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace in the world and most likely in the Universe!
Thank you!

1 comment:

  1. Slavery is one of the old bugaboos that causes problems for many folks, most notably the un-or-under-educated people who have no idea how that our nation did to end this despicable scourge. We fought a major war that took the lives of more than half-a-million Americans fighting on both sides either to end it or to uphold it, but American lives regardless. Other nations had slavery far longer than we did while others gave it up earlier than our country did. Yet, all we ever hear is how bad the United States is, how we still have the darkened stains on our collective souls and how evil the country still is because we did not end it before becoming a nation. I would say to the dimwits walking the streets demanding people repeat their mantra that BLACK LIVES MATTER read their flipping history before taking to the streets. Most Americans with long residency in the country had relatives who fought in the Civil War. My family had two, one who died on the field fighting the South and another who died in Andersonville. This is the reason WHY most white Americans become angry with the Obama Storm Troopers—Black Lives Matter—because we see as threat around election time intimidating the people. As for reading history, alas, it will never happen because the youthful college crowd could care less but it should happen. Check out what Chef Vicky has to say about this very provocative topic and leave your comments if you dare. Thank you. / Posted by Chef Kilgore Randalini of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, posted @ 09:37 A.M. PDT
