In 2000, Pete Townshend released a live album that contained the entire song repertoire of his “Lifehouse” project recorded before an adoring crowd.  The album is entitled, “Live at Sadler’s Wells,” a great CD to be sure.  Fans of the man and of the Who, too, should delight in the quality recording one finds here; by all means, use our link to redirect you to Amazon.com where you can check the CD out, get in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you—you can thank us later.

FALL SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,783 AT THE AICP-END

I think I will begin doing Pinterest Music Posts unless, of course, something gets in the way…
Bakersfield, CA, 10-09-2015 Friday: We have arrived at Friday and that means that I am going finally to share the next batch of Pinterest music album posts we do five days a week at their site.  We used to put stuff up seven days a week but not many people come around on the weekends so why waste time?  We put posts up seven days a week here at the main blog and one per week at the secondary blog, posted every Wednesday as there, we celebrate the wonderful art of our patron artistic saint, Beverly Carrick.  Anyhow, today, we will discuss recent entertainment events here in Bakersfield, California, noting that we have more events going on in a city of our size than do many larger cities.  This says something about the fan quality that performers so love.  Join me as we go through them!
The Kern County Fair had a stupendous number of Live Acts this Year, especially Eric Burdon and the Animals—WOW!—a Living Legend live on Stage!
Last week, the Kern County Fair was in its second week and man, what a week it was.  The previous week, we saw the Beach Boys and then Blue Öyster Cult, a great show if ever there was one.  Last week, we saw in order, Loverboy—yup, a hair band from the 1980s sans the hair but with numerous hits—followed by the one, the only, Eric Burdon and the Animals.  Granted, the Animals were newer members but still fairly aged, which made them fit right in with 74-years-old rock-and-roll icon, Eric Burdon.  Man—that man belted it out for 90 minutes and the more the audience gave him LOVE, the more his voice improved and he gave it back.  The singer and his band updated the songs, which made them fit right in with the current era making the old standards of 40-50 years ago that much better.  I have to say, “We Gotta Get out of this Place,” “Please, don’t let me be Misunderstood,” and of course, “Spill the Wine”—the song he did when he was with WAR was outstanding.
On Thursday Night, we saw Christian Rock-and-Roll Sensation, the Newsboys!
The next night, we saw Christian rock sensation, the Newsboys, a group that filled the 2,250-seat Budweiser Pavilion Arena to the gills, and they gave us one heck of a show.  The crowd was appreciative, no doubt about it.  People lined up for more than four-and-a-half hours at the arena, braving the sun, the dust, going without food and drink unless they had fellow fans with them.  We estimate that the line contained around 5,000 people and the folks who could not get in sat in various food outlets and at lone picnic tables scattered throughout the area.  The great thing about this is that it shows there are millions of Christians in the United States, that no matter how much the Obama administration and liberals deride the Believers, they will come, celebrate the King of Kings, and do it with unabashed happiness and abandon.  God bless the band and its fans, this was a great sign for those who claim, and “GOD is DEAD.”  Nope, I think He is EVERYWHERE, all-powerful, ever-present, and omnipotent.
Earlier in the Year, we saw the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac
The next night, Friday, October 02, 2015, at the Bright House Amphitheater we saw Hotel California, an Eagles tribute band that sounds like the flipping Eagles.  I saw the Eagles at the Rabobank Arena earlier in the year and wanted to hear the music again so of course, we bought tickets for the Bright House.  Every show that comes to Bakersfield, California, is a great show, and we never miss even one of them unless it was the massive disappointment of the big one-day rock festival at Pioneer Village.  Granted, there were numerous shows, no doubt about that but the cost to enter the event and to hear music from all SEVEN stages was just too much for a simple chef such as myself to attend.  Oh, do not get me wrong, but with music starting around 3:00 P.M. and with 100 acts divided between seven stages, well, you figure how long each one played and how much the cost might have been.  Maybe next year my wife and I will go.
A couple of days ago, we saw Gordon Lightfoot!
A couple of days ago on October 07, we are going to see Gordon Lightfoot at the FOX Theater downtown and boy, does that fellow still have HIS voice.  The classic tunes interspersed with other less familiar tunes caused the audience to stand up and celebrate and that is always good.  Earlier in the year, besides the Eagles, we saw Fleetwood Mac downtown in Bakersfield, California, at the Rabobank Arena and like the Eagles clocked in around three hours.  We had a slight lull in shows until a month or so later when we saw Beatles vs. Stones at the Bright House Amphitheater followed by Average White Band, the Stylistics, the Dramatics, you name it, we saw them at any of our four major performance centers.  I am telling you, there is NEVER a dull period here in our lovely city!
We get so many GREAT concerts here in Bakersfield, California!
Well, it would appear that I have indeed messed up yet again so tomorrow and Sunday, I will do my best to update our Pinterest postings for your reading and eventually (or so we hope) listening enjoyment.  We do our best to provide links here at this blog for all of the music we promote, hoping that you will take advantage of the great deals we celebrate here at our blog.  Like it or not, the music of the late 1950s to the late 1970s and even into the 1980s is music that continues to live until today.  I hate to say it but much of the crap we have seen coming from the end of the 1980s—with the exception of Loverboy, I have to say—seem to have disappeared, to have left us for good.  The music from our era continues to enthrall listeners to this day.  This is the reason WHY we promote the music because every OLD-TIME band from the 1960s we see in action today continues to draw in younger and younger generations who want to see pieces of HISTORY—God bless them!
Thank God, a performer such as Eric Burdon is still alive and well—he is indeed a living legend!  God bless you, Eric!

PLEASE BUY ALL OF THE ALBUMS WE ADVERTISE AT AMAZON.COM!
PLEASE SEE MUSICAL ALBUMS AT THE END OF THE BLOG
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END
Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.
We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blog site.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!
Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms.
To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-374-1430; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own! God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
We are not all CRACKERS here in the Valley, in fact, there are very few, we do have a great way of life and if Democrats did not run the state, it would be EVEN better!
I thank you for indulging me, friends, many folks think we are somewhat of a barren wasteland here in the Central Valley of California, the place where we once grew the food eaten by not only the nation but the entire world.  Currently, agriculture folks continue hanging on to a dying way of life, denied the water they need with which, to keep their farms running and their livestock alive and well.  We hope that the next president will be a friend to agriculture but one never knows, as the current thing is the promotion that Global Warming-Climate Change is the new way forward.  Once I heard that Mars suffered some sort of climatic cataclysm, I knew they were full of crap because if no one was living there, then how did it happen—did bacteria do it?  Anyhow, tomorrow, I will do my best to share our Pinterest album promotions so please, find some time to join me here at the blog.  God bless you all, keep the faith, and note that we have 18-months or so left of Obama then we can be free of this man!
The Closing Words of our Founder, Stinkbug:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by the Who, John Entwhistle, Keith Moon, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.
As everyone knows, we love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace in the world and most likely in the Universe!
Thank you!

  1. Amigos, we all know how it is when someone is tired and boy, oh, boy Chef Kilgore has some fatigue right now. Today, he discusses all the amazing musical acts that come to Bakersfield, California, music, dance, concerts, comedians, you name it, gobs of folks come to our fair city to put on memorable shows. We have noted that the recent show by the Newsboys was ‘incredible,’ so why not check out and see what we have here for you today—thank you! I would like to make one note about how the political attacks on Hillary Clinton are taking their toll, she has to be among the dumbest or the most clumsy of candidates that she once again is NOT going to win the Democrat Party’s presidential nomination. I like Bernie Sanders, I think he will make the CHANGES that Barack Obama ONLY promised the American people. However, I know there are people out there such as Rush Limbaugh and Jaz McKay who have no problem saying that Bernie ‘cannot win.’ Of course, he can win and he will win despite all the attacks you throw on the man. Please join us today, share your thoughts on this comment and/or article and on anything else you might wish to comment. Gracias, amigos. / Posted by Chef Pedro Munoz of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, posted @ 10:29 A.M.
