“Vacation Week, Day Number Six: Moses returns for the Weekend, drunk as a Skunk but with Blue Öyster Cult, Climax Blues Band, and Foreigner—how ‘bout them Apples, Folks?” by Assistant Publisher Moses Scharbug III

We have TWO great CDs for you today, the first being one that we presented to you several weeks ago, a collaboration of vocalist Eric Burdon and blues legend, Jimmy Witherspoon, entitled, “Black & White Blues” (2014).  Originally entitled, “Guilty,” it came out in 1971 and was a major addition to the world of blues music as the intermingling of abilities by both the American blues man and the British rock-and-blues singer could produce.  Recording engineers have brought this CD up to modern standards and no self-respecting fan of REAL rock-and-roll music can overlook this album, no way in hell.  The second CD is by Eric Burdon and WAR, entitled, “The Lost Broadcasts” (2014), an album the band recorded in 1970 on a German radio show.  There is no better way to appreciate the music of this classic group and what might have been had Mr. Burdon not decided that he had to move on to stay in touch with his creative muse.  You can both CDs at great prices so what, dear friends, could be better than that?  Please, use our links to go to Amazon.com and pick both up in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for YOU—you will be glad you did.

SUMMER SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,714 AT THE AICP-END

Welcome to Day Number Six of the Scharbug Family Summer Vacation!
Bakersfield, CA, 08-01-2015 Saturday: Folks, it is Saturday, a great day to be on vacation because when one is on ‘island time’ and it is a weekend, well things slow down even more.  At my age, every minute God grants us is a blessing, especially when we live in a culture that has embraced socialized medicine to its breast as much as we have.  It has never been about providing healthcare to the poor, the impoverished, and the homeless; no, it has been about taking away benefits from those who can afford them and transferring some of what the government has stolen to the less fortunate, the indigent, and the lazy.  You can bet one day when my lungs give out or my heart decides to give me fits, that an Obama-approved doctor will flip the switch, remove me from life support, and give me the big ‘bon voyage.’  Anyhow, let us commence looking at the CDs we have in store for ourselves today, okay, as there is no need to make today a weepy one.  Here we go:

“Blue Öyster Cult” by Blue Öyster Cult @ Pinterest.com:
One of the best bands to hit the scene back in the early 1970s albeit the world was alight with Disco at the time was Blue Oyster Cult, a group out of Long Island, New York.  Originally known as ‘Soft White Underbelly,’ the band morphed into Blue Öyster Cult or “BÖC,” and featured a lineup of Eric Bloom (guitars, vocals, keyboards), Albert Bouchard (drums and vocals), Joe Bouchard (bass and vocals), Allen Lanier (guitars, vocals), and Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser (lead guitars, vocals).  This lineup made many of the albums fans who grew up with the band throughout the 1970s came to know and love.  They hit big with their first single, “Cities on Flame with Rock-and-Roll,” which is why this debut CD aptly titled, “Blue Öyster Cult” (1971) is one EVERY fan of well-done rock-and-roll definitely needs to own so BUY it now by using the link we provide you here.  This will take you to Amazon.com where you can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you, your ears, and your flaming pocketbook!
“Climax Chicago Blues Band” by Climax Blues Band @ Pinterest.com:
The Climax Blues Band began in England in the mid-to-late 1960s and featured a powerful, bluesy lineup that featured a two-pronged rock-and-roll attack: Colin Cooper (vocals, guitars, saxophones, and harmonicas) and Pete Haycock (vocals, guitars, bass).  Augmenting the two were Derek Holt (bass guitar, keyboards, vocals), Richard Jones (bass, keyboards, vocals), George Newsome (drums), and Arthur Wood (keyboards).  Originally billed as “Climax Chicago Blues Band,” the group came out of Stafford, UK, having formed in 1968 and began cranking out some of the best rock music the country had ever seen.
Making it big in the U.S. took some time but eventually, they would break through and make it into the big time.  We highly recommend this debut CD from 1969, which bears the full name of the original band, as it is a damned fine addition to anyone’s collection.  Use our link to go to Amazon.com where you can get it at a great price in the format and the condition that is right for YOU.  What do you have to lose?  We never steer you wrong, go there NOW!
“Foreigner” by Foreigner @ Pinterest.com:
One of the big bands to come out of the 1970s came out of the throes of English psychedelic blues band, Spooky Tooth, and that was ForeignerMick Jones was the final guitarist for that outfit and he brought together a band of veteran musicians around him including Ian McDonald formerly of King Crimson (guitars, vocals, keyboards, and horns), Al Greenwood (keyboards), Ed Gagliardi (bass, vocals), Dennis Elliot (drums), and newcomer, Lou Gramm (vocals).  The band’s first album, the self-titled, “Foreigner,” hit record store shelves in 1977 and the song, “Feels Like the First Time” followed by “Cold as Ice” put the band among the top rock acts of the era, an act that continues until today.  We highly urge everyone to seek this CD out by using our link to redirect one’s browser to Amazon.com so that he or she can pick it up in the format, the condition, and the price that rocks your socks!  You will be so glad you did!
Foreigner
That will do it for today, I will return to doing what I do best and that is lying about in an intoxicated stupor while listening to the waves dribble across the beach.  My wife is out watching the birds while I sit here keying on my tablet, enjoying the morning adult beverages, eating tropical fruit, and awaiting Morpheus to take me back in his arms so I can forget that I live in the age of Obama.  What the hell did we ever do to deserve someone as horrible as the 44th president?  I sure as heck did not vote for the schmo!
Barack Obama, the Nation’s 44th President

PLEASE BUY ALL OF THE ALBUMS WE ADVERTISE AT AMAZON.COM!
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669
We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blog site.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms.
To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-374-1430; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own! God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
I hope you have enjoyed the format this week; it is lovely to have not much to do when one awakens or falls back asleep, as I do not have to worry about some schmuck hitting me over the skull with a flipping blackjack and robbing me silly.  Granted, there is not much I could do about it anyway as I am unable to carry my firearms with me here in Bermuda.   That is great because I do not know if my firearm insurance—the one where if I put one center mass in some young punk trying to rob me or my wife, I get a discounted fee for a lawyer—would be good here.  Places such as this tend not to approve of guns, which is sad but then it is what it is.  Nothing to worry about and please, do not concern you over the ramblings of an aged alcoholic.
The Closing Words of our Founder, Stinkbug:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Eric Burdon and the Animals, WAR, Eric Burdon, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace in the world and most likely in the Universe!
Thank you!

  1. If there is one thing Moses enjoys doing on a vacation—especially one in a resort area, that is lying on the beach in a beach chair or in a hammock and staying drunk from sunup to sundown. He justifies this by saying that when one is as old as he is, the socialized medical system we now in the United States will throw us under the bus. If we want good medical care, we will have to visit Mexico, China, or India, or maybe now that Cuba is open, we can go down there and get good care. The Death Panels that Sarah Palin prophesied are growing by the day so why not stay intoxicated as writing a blog is fairly easy, especially the more one drinks. Gosling’s rum is damned fine and everyone should seek out a bottle for his, her, or itself. Yeah, he laughs, we have to throw a nod towards the fruits nowadays. Anyhow, we present The Climax Blues Band, Blue Öyster Cult, and Foreigner today so please, join us and have some fun!
