“Political Topics and Essays, Part DIII: Chef Stinkbug discusses the ongoing Topic of removing the Flags of the Confederacy from all Southern States’ Emblems, Flags, and Souvenir Shops—will we remove Street Names and Statues as well?” by Chef Craig “Stinkbug” Carrici

--> --> --> --> ------------------------------------------

We have but TWO CDs for you today, the next album by WAR, entitled, “Galaxy” (1977).  The band celebrated the recent “Star Wars” movie by Steven Spielberg and others and used the astronomical name as its album title.  This record has so much great music woven through it that it is indeed one of their most important releases coming out of the 1970’s.  We saw the band live in Bakersfield, California, at the time this record hit the shelves of record stores and all we can say is that it would be foolish NOT to buy it.  Please, use our link to redirect you to Amazon.com where you can snap it up in the format, the condition, and the price that is perfect for YOU—you will be glad you did!  The second CD we have for you today is the next one by British vocalist, Eric Burdon, “Survivor,” (1977).  Using an all-star lineup such as Zoot Money and Alexis Korner (or musicians who would become stars in their own right), Burdon 10 songs in his unique bluesy-rock style.  We suggest you seek out both CDs by using the links we provide you here so you can redirect your browser to Amazon.com where you can snap them up in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for YOU; you will be so glad you did!

SUMMER SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,683 AT THE AICP-END

Congratulations to South Carolina for taking down the Stars and Bars from their Capitol Grounds
Bakersfield, CA, 07-01-2015 Wednesday: Last week, we watched as Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina stood before the microphones a week ago this past Monday and informed the citizens of her state as well as the world that the Confederate battle flag—aka the Stars and Bars—would no longer fly in front of the State House.  Celebratory politicians and enthusiastic crowds greeted the decision with jubilation, with which I, too, am in total agreement.  In fact, I cannot understand WHY it still flew as a lone standard on the capitol grounds one would think at some point, tolerance and acknowledgement of losing the Civil War would dictate that it would have already come down and disappeared into a museum.
The Stars and Bars—the Confederate Battle Flag
There are two flags that represent the Confederacy, one of them well known—the battle flag—while the other—the national flag is lesser known.  The first, the iconic stars and bars represents slavery, ‘Dixie,’ and the denial of civil rights to the black folks of the South while the other means very little to most Americans, as they know it not.  What blows my mind is that one would think that after the battles of the 1960’s in which, Americans fought to give civil rights to all those previously denied them that the flag would have come down and off the state flags of several southern states.  Yet, they somehow managed to hang around, as have alligators, crocodiles, tortoises and turtles, and all sorts of lizards and other beasts have since the days of the dinosaurs.

The National Flag of the Confederate States of America
I can recall as a child growing up in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s that we had all sorts of Civil War toys, replica hats, flags, firearms,  that playing Civil War was a fine game although none of us truly knew for what it stood.  As I grew up, I came to learn that the War Between the States claimed more lives than any other war in which, Americans have fought and that the divisions among the people leftover from it caused the nation further problems such as what we who were alive in the 1960’s watched.  If we did not end the racism and prejudice that we did following the surrender of the Army of Northern Virginia at the Appomattox Court House, then we sure as hell should following the battle for and the eventual bestowing of civil rights on ALL Americans.
Are we going to remove or change all Street Names honoring Confederate Military Officers or take down their Statues?
As a history buff, I have always found studying the era both before and after the Civil War has always captivated me, something of which, I am not ashamed to admit.  I just hope that as with everything else the liberals do that we do not get into this feeding frenzy and begin renaming every highway, street, or road named for a Confederate general or politician.  I also hope we do not tear down statues honoring military officers and politicians as that would be to deny fellow Americans their just honors.  Like it or not, these men and women fought for the side in which, they believed and they lost, yet, they are still Americans.  We believe in forgiveness, we believe in acceptance, we cannot believe in these glorious ideals if we are going to strip them from those who fought on the losing side.  We all know there were racist Northerners who fought against some non-racist Southerners so it was not just about freeing the slaves and eradicating racism.
There were Racist Northerners and non-Racist Southerners during the Civil War
Something I do expect to happen and happen soon is that the federal government will begin applying pressure to several Southern states that still have the stars and bars contained within their emblem such as Mississippi and Georgia.  If we want to add a couple of others, what about Florida and Alabama, both of them have what appears to me, modified versions of the bars minus the stars.  Arkansas has one star at the top of their standard that stands for their part in fighting for the South during the Civil War, should we force them to modify their flag, too, lest someone point it out that they, too, still glorify their racist past.
The United States has fought TWO Civil Wars—should we not be done with them?
What I am saying is that the United States has fought TWO civil wars, one declared, and the other not so.  People died fighting both, in fact, they are still dying but a scumbag such as Dylann Storm Roof does not represent the Dixie of old, he represents himself.  At the time of this writing, I have been waiting to see what sort of man his father is as well as his mother, are they committed white racists or did they have a drug-abusing, crackpot son?  I know some pundit said last week, ‘why do we associate the word THUG with minorities and CRAZY or INSANE with white people accused of shootings?’  I can answer that one up front: normally, the minorities commit murders as parts of gangs whereas most times, individual whites pick up guns, go out and shoot up a bunch of people and then shoot themselves.  Sadly, Roof was too much of a flaming coward to have shot himself so now; it is up to us, the people, to give him his just desserts.
Dylann Storm Roof is a flipping Loony-Tune and needs to pay the price for his barbarous crimes…

SUN SECRETS
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blog site.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

GREATEST HITS
I feel horrible for the people of Charleston, South Carolina, who lost family members in the recent shootings.  My heart goes out to every single one of them who have had to experience some stupid crime such as the one Dylann Storm Roof (allegedly committed—that is a load of bullshit, ‘allegedly’).  We need to make it clear to the would-be shooters that if they commit some heinous act such as this one, that if they lack the courage to end their own lives that we will NOT give them the death penalty but will place them into solitary confinement for the rest of their natural lives.
What’s more, we will give them ONE hour per week to exit their cells whereas the rest of their time they remain in total and absolute confinement.  They will have NO television, few books, no newspapers, censored mail, and the same meals three times a day, day in, day out, until life exits their bodies.  People have to understand that if they commit hate crimes on a magnitude of what Mr. Roof did that they will pay a horrendous price, one from which, they will NEVER escape.  Knowing that, perhaps, they will NOT commit the crime but we know no one will ever permit a punishment as wicked as this.
That will do it for today, my friends, please visit me at the secondary blog by using the link you will find on this page. We do our best to bring to the readership all sorts of topics, ideas, and philosophies so one can self-educate, especially if one has had little to no access to higher education.  Many who labor in professional foodservice have very little time to bring knowledge to themselves, something every single one of us desperately needs in this time of rising illiteracy thanks to school systems having to provide free education to illegal alien kids who must move along at the same pace as citizens.  What is wrong with this scenario, folks, perhaps, we will find the answer at the other blog.  Please, join me there and become a follower of BOTH blogs—we welcome everyone’s input!  God bless, I will either see you over there or tomorrow, have a great day— bye!  Tomorrow: we will discuss the growing effort by the liberals to rewrite U.S. history and to eradicate any sense of Southern pride stemming from the sacrifices of its soldiers during the War Between the States—be here!

The Closing Words of our Founder, ME:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Eric Burdon and the Animals, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace in the world and most likely in the Universe!
Thank you!

  1. The boss shares his thoughts on the conflagration that took place last week with the removal of the Confederate Stars and Bars from the Capitol grounds of South Carolina last week. Is the flag responsible for the acts committed by Dylann Storm Roof—avowed or wannabe racist—or did his surroundings, i.e., his family, influence him? Granted, the Confederate battle flag represents the last vestiges of Dixie and while we feel Confederate war cemeteries deserve to fly the flag, it makes sense to remove it from all state grounds, emblems, or flags where it still appears. Both Mississippi and Georgia need to consider removing the flag’s emblem from both their state flags and Alabama and Florida might consider revising their flags by abandoning the bars that represent their membership in the Confederate States of America. We also know that Arkansas has one star on its state flag—the uppermost—that represents its membership in the CSA and perhaps that should go, too. We do not believe that the South needs to change street names or remove statues honoring Civil War generals who fought for the South, we need to make note that individual actions account for what Mr. Roof did. Overall, politicians have used the emblem when it suits them and attack it when it suits them, too. We believe that Mr. Roof needs to serve as an example that all racist shooters must spend the rest of their lives living in solitary confinement, eating the same meal three times a day and seeing humans but one hour per week. In imposing such a sentence, it is possible that the severity of the proposed sentence might influence others not to act out similar aggressions in the future—or we could send them to the gallows immediately.
