“Weekend Session, Part III: JT shares his Thoughts on the Recent Stop of the Eagles on their ‘History of the Eagles Tour,’ how great it was to see the Band in such an Intimate Setting as Bakersfield’s Rabobank Arena—what a Flipping Show, Folks!” by Chef James “JT” Tobiason

The sixth CD in the Blossom Toes discography, “Collection,” is unknown to us so all we can do is to point it out to those whom it might interest.  The record is available only in LP form at Amazon.com at about $100.00.  Our assumption is that it came out at the time the band was alive and functioning so if you truly want to blow your mind, you can seek it out and give the world and us a shout!

SPRING SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,658 AT THE AICP-END
Bakersfield, California, is a happening place to be sure!
Bakersfield, CA, 06-06-2015 Saturday: Today, we will do what we do in our new Weekend Session and that is, share some things that we find interesting here at the blog.  For a year or so, we promote a different album of the day at Pinterest, a site we love a great deal and one we wish to share with the readership.  We share some of the best music the world has ever had the opportunity to hear because in today’s world, all there is, is the dreck we hear on modern radio.  People have no idea as to what REAL music sounds like, they think Adam Levine and the Maroon Five group is where it is at, man, let me tell you that it is not.
Young People think Adam Levine is some sort of rock star; he is not…
About ten days ago, we saw the Eagles come to Bakersfield, California, on May 26, 2015, at the Rabobank Arena here in the city.  They came on their “History of the Eagles Tour,” the last leg for them and a stop that made all of us quite proud.  The great thing is, is that they brought back Bernie Leadon, one of the four original members of the band to perform on their earlier tunes, which the crowd thought truly amazing.  Bernie, for those of you who do not know him, was a lead guitarist in the Los Angeles rock scene and joined the Flying Burrito Brothers when they formed the band back in 1968.  Gram Parsons was there as were Chris Hillman and Michael Clark from the Byrds along with Sneaky Pete Kleinow, pedal steel guitarist, who played with everyone.
The Eagles came through here last week and oh, what a show…
The fact that the Eagles brought Bernie back was extraordinary, it was as if he never left and the band gave credit to other former members with the exception of Don Felder, a great guitarist who unfortunately for him, priced himself out of the band following its reformation.  Still, the band put on a three-hour-plus show in which, they played songs from the original albums up to and including one or two from the reformation album, “Hell Freezes Over” but nothing past that.  What was great is that Joe Walsh also was able to play some of his songs from his solo career and from the James Gang days, a group we advertised here a couple of years ago at this very blog site.   We urge you to seek them out so you can pick them up in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you.  Joe Walsh has had an extraordinary career; we hope you have an opportunity to hear his monumental body of work.
The History of the Eagles Tour
The Eagles came on shortly after 8:00 P.M. and did everything from their first album up to the “One of these Nights” recording, and then took a brief intermission.  Then, they returned and rocked the hell out of the jam-packed Rabobank Arena until 11:30 p.m. doing a lengthy encore in which, Joe Walsh played a smoking “Rocky Mountain High,” a monster song from his very first solo CD after leaving the James Gang.  The crowd was on its feet throughout the night and it was indeed a show to remember for all.
Bonnie Raitt came through here not long ago, and oh, what a show, people!
In the past several months, we have had the great pleasure to see Merle Haggard live on stage as well as Chicago, Bonnie Raitt, the Dramatics, the Stylistics, and Fleetwood Mac.  Over the years we have seen Blue Oyster Cult, the Ohio Players, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, the Pointer Sisters, the Four Tops, and 38-Special, to name a few.  We have so many acts come through here as recently, we hosted the Average White Band and will soon see both Firefall as well as Hotel California, a tribute to the Eagles whom we have seen before and look forward to seeing again because they are GREAT.  We also recently hosted the Atlanta Rhythm Section and Beatles vs. Stones—a stellar show—one everyone who has the opportunity needs to see.
Let’s not forget the all-day Rock, Country, and Blues Show at Pioneer Village!
Finally, on the 23rd of May, we had a major rock festival here in Bakersfield than anyone has seen in a long, long time featuring everyone from Denny Laine of the Moody Blues and Wings to Herman’s Hermits, Chubby Checker, all sorts of other rock and soul and country and western acts.  Bakersfield, California, is truly a musical, happening place as we bring in acts from across the world.  Even though we may be dying of thirst, we still have the power to draw them in and this year, we are hoping that the Who will be able to find it in their hearts to stop in during their 50th Anniversary Tour—that would be astounding, my friends.
Please, let the WHO come through Bakersfield this September!

WE ARE EVER SO CLEAN
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blog site.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
LOVE BOMB LIVE 1967-1969
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms!
WHAT ON EARTH: DEMOS AND OUTTAKES 1967-1969
To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-374-1430; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own! God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
BEFORE WE WERE BLOSSOM TOES—WE WERE THE INGOES
We are almost to the end of Blossom Toes, a unique band if ever there was one and thanks to the magic of CD format, we once again get the chance to hear a seminal band from the beginning of English psychedelic music.  I urge everyone please to seek them out at Amazon.com by using our links to redirect you to the world’s greatest online marketplace so you can take advantage of the deals we offer you daily.  We do our best to share the music we enjoyed in our youth with the Millennial and X-Generations so maybe they can cleanse their ears of the phony baloney music they see and hear every frigging day on television and radio.  What do you have to lose, $10 of your mom and dad’s money, you of the younger generations who still live at home at the age of 35?  Take a chance, buy some music that might stimulate your ears to get out of your parents’ homes so you can become, as we are, lifelong professional chefs and culinarians who left home at the age of 17 or 18.  Thanks for spending time with me this weekend, I look forward to hearing from YOU!

The Closing Words of our Founder, Stinkbug:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Procol Harum, Robin Trower, Blossom
Toes
, (on Monday, we begin presenting the Animals, Eric Burdon, and War to the world) and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace in the world and most likely in the Universe!
Thank you!
