“Political Topics and Essays, Part CDLXXXIX: what has happened to the Once-Great State of California—is Governor Brown’s High-Speed Rail Pipe Dream MORE Important than supplying Water to the Thirsty Homes and Farms begging for it—I hope NOT!” by Chef Olaf Bologolo

CHEF OLAF BOLOGOLO USES SOME QUESTIONABLE LANGUAGE TODAY SO THE FAINT OF HEART NEED TO CONSIDER PASSING THIS POINT

In 1967, Eric Burdon returned with a new lineup featuring a reformed lineup of the Animals, Eric Burdon and the Animals.  The new band had Eric Burdon up front with Barry Jenkins (drums), Vic Briggs (guitars/piano), Danny McCullough (bass, vocals), and John Weider of Family fame (guitars, violin, and vocals) behind him.  Their first album was one of psychedelic music combined with the gritty, guttural form of the blues the original Animals loved so much.  The new album, entitled, “Winds of Change” took the world by storm and featured one of the all-time greatest hits, “San Franciscan Nights.”  Please, use our link to go to Amazon.com where you can buy this superb CD in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you!

SPRING SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,667 AT THE AICP-END

Welcome to the Week of 06-15-to-06-21-2015
Bakersfield, CA, 06-15-2015 Monday: Hello and welcome to the soon-to-be Summer Session 2015 albeit it already is toasty here in Bakersfield, California, the home of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, the place I love visiting (sarcasm, folks).  I come up from Los Angeles, about two hours south of Bakersfield and down there, it is hot while we also thirst for water like everyone in the state does.  As you should know—if you have been a longtime reader of the blog is that I am a Green Party member who typically votes Democrat because they represent the things I hold dear.  However, at various times, some of my posts have been in conflict with what one associates with the Greens and the Dems but it is what it is, folks, we live in difficult, dangerous and dark times, and sadly, both of these parties can be sell-outs as much as the GOP can.
Governor Jerry Brown is NOT a Democrat for whom yours truly would vote…
When I was here last year, I railed at Governor Jerry Brown and numerous others of the Democrat majority in Sacramento and throughout the state.  Everyone has long known that we NEED water in the southern part of the state as otherwise, all life will disappear as have the numerous farms that once supplied not only the restaurants and foodservice operations of the state, the nation, and the world with low-cost, high-quality food but also the impoverished, of whom there are many.  I mean, we ate a watermelon my wife bought the other day and even though it looked good, the flipping thing was anemic on the inside and no wonder—the son-of-a-bitch melon came from fucking Mexico!
More Water flows out to Sea because of the Delta Smelt than it does down the Valley to our Farms and beyond…
If one ventures to the grocery store, one can easily see the cost of food skyrocketing, low income folks suffer mightily at the store.  Most of them cannot exist sans the benefits the state and the federal government channels to them but that is no way for anyone to live one’s life.  The fact that I know the state government continues allowing the outflow of water runoff to surge out into the Pacific Ocean all because of some salmon or that it will not pump water down the valley because of the invasive Delta Smelt, well, it makes me consider changing my allegiance from the Democrats to the God-damned GOP for ONE election cycle.  How on God’s green Earth did we find ourselves residing at this point?  It is insane and we need to change it—you and I and everyone YOU know.
How did we arrive at this point?
Ah, next year is an election year and the candidates are all stepping up one by one, sharing their vision for the future of the United States, all is well and good or is it?  I have heard NO one share his or her dream for the Golden State, no way, uh huh, not a peep because they know we are all crazy here.  We would rather send water out into the vast blue ocean instead of conquering the problems bedeviling us by finding ways by which, we can prevent the smelt from entering the intake valves that send water headed down the amazing system of canals we built at great expense.  Can we not prevent the fish from becoming chum?  We need water flowing down the San Joaquin Valley, the farmers pay full price for it even though they might only get 10-15 percent at best of that water.  Is this the future that you and I create for our children?  Let me rephrase the question, let me ask you this very important question: “Is this the future you and I create for our children?”  Good God, I certainly hope not because if it is, we are behaving as  criminals do, we are robbing them of their birthright and selling them to the Mexicans and other Third World hoodlums looming on the other side of the border.  “Hey, puto, no produce for you and your familia, eh?”
Is this the Future that YOU and I created for our Children?
I always thought when I was young and idealistic that no nation willingly committed national suicide unless they had some sort of dictatorship at the top such as did the Nazis and the Soviets.  Even they did the best they could to care for the needs of their people by instituting national improvement plans, you know, building the infrastructure necessary to have a 20th Century nation at the time.  Food production was a major national cause as no nation can continue remaining at the forefront of its fellows if it allows its infrastructure to crumble into nothingness, such as what we see happening here in both the state of California and across the fruited plain.  The problem is not so much with the Republicans—although ALL political parties bear responsibility thanks to the incessant wrangling—but with the environmentalists and the damned politicians who hunger for their money—that is the problem.
We are going to have some Fun this Week…
As the week rolls by, you and I will discuss this and many other topics and what’s more, we also might have some fun.  We need to have some levity as much as we need drama; both are two sides of one very important coin.  If I could do anything at the moment, I think I would put the kibosh on Governor Jerry Brown’s high-speed rail boondoggle as that is one unnecessary plan if ever one existed, my friends, I kid you not.  If I knew some terrorists, I would have them lay shit mines all along the route of the train so that every time it roared past, people inside would smell ‘Jerry Brown’s shit.’  How ‘bout them apples, folks?  Okay, let us head on out and end our day, shall we?
That will do it for today…

THE ANIMALS ON TOUR

ANIMAL TRACKS
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
ANIMALIZATION
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blog site.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
THE BEST OF THE ANIMALS
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms!
ANIMALISMS
To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-374-1430; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own! God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
ERIC IS HERE
I am excited that we now present the Animals, especially the psychedelic version we began today.  I saw a great show here in Bakersfield more than a month ago, the Beatles vs. Stones show we saw at the Bright House Amphitheatre on the west side of town.  During the time the crowd filed in to take their seats, the speakers were playing a wide range of music from the 1960’s and the Animals were among the most predominant band they used for warm-up music.  The song, “When I was Young,” a great tune by Eric Burdon and his fellow band members was one I had forgotten but gladly welcomed as it ranks among the best tunes from the late 1960’s.  Oh, man, I do not know about you, but I am definitely watching the show, “Aquarius” on NBC-TV, the one about the 1960’s in Los Angeles, California, with Charles Manson and all.  We might discuss that tomorrow.  Have a great day, take care and love the planet, not the people fucking it up—we must get rid of them…bye!

WINDS OF CHANGE
The Closing Words of our Founder, Stinkbug:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Blossom Toes, The Animals, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace in the world and most likely in the Universe!
PEACE!

This is a photo of me taken at an ACF Convention back in the early 1960's.  I was a representative from our California chapter.  Anyhow, I am a great deal older than this picture now but that is what we are doing, sharing OLD pictures of all of us.  I am still a handsome man, however!

  1. Chef Olaf enters the fray today and alerts the readership that one of his primary zones of concern is the sell-out of the Democrats and the Greens leaving California in a horrendous crisis. How the governor puts high-speed rail at the forefront of the list of important things is beyond him, as his railroad should take the back seat to supplying water to the people, farms, and animals in need of it. How can we allow the agribusinesses that supply low-cost food to the people of the state, the nation, and across the world who need it to fall by the wayside while every dime the government raises goes towards building the dream railroad of Governor Jerry Brown? It makes no sense other than to hurry people through a dying state so they can get through it as quickly as possible without having to linger, smelling the odor of death. It is a good thing that next year is an election year because Hillary Clinton is going to pay a heavy price, as will Democrats across the state. Give us water and the threat of losing office as well as face will disappear; however, continue pushing the rail project and the governor might go the way of his comrade, Gray Davis. Please, join us today and share your thoughts, we welcome everyone. Chef Craig “Stinkbug” Carrici of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day @ 09:45 A.M. PST
