The next CD by the British psychedelic group, Blossom Toes, came out in 1969—“If Only for a Moment”--and the fans proclaim it a “masterpiece.”  There are 15 quality cuts included on this CD, one that featured John “Poli” Palmer (future Family member just as Jim Cregan would be) on keyboards, vibes, and vocals.  Not only did the band master the acidic form of rock but also embarked on a progressive bent, too, one that fans call ‘amazing.’  We urge you to use our link to redirect you to Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace where you can get it in CD form ($16.60), MP-3 form ($7.99) or even snag the original LP form (about $35.00) so please, go there now and indulge yourselves in some ear candy!

SPRING SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,654 AT THE AICP-END
Today, we share some Facebook Posts!
Bakersfield, CA, 06-02-2015 Tuesday: One of the things we do here at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day is to put up Facebook posts every day of the week until this week.  That is right; starting this week, we will put up Facebook posts, Pinterest album of the day and Beverly Carrick artwork of the day Monday-through-Friday.  On the weekend, at least for now, we will give it a pass because the readership is somewhat low on Saturday and Sunday.  I am not faulting anyone over this, merely saying it is what it is, folks.   Anyhow, what I am going to do today is share some of these posts with you and then discuss them, if that is indeed ‘okay’ with you?
Friday, July 18, 2014:
Back in July 2014, my friend and colleague, Chef Kilgore Randalini, wrote a post in which he discussed the sad state of RACE in America.  One of the editorial staff left this comment regarding Kilgore’s post at Facebook the day it hit the presses.  This is what the staffer said:
Chef Kilgore continues his discussion of how the Obama Regime uses racism as a sledgehammer to pummel his opponents into insensibility and to color the opinions of the uneducated voters. One must wonder as to whether or not, we have the ability to withstand this assault on the nation by the Anti-President, a man who hates this nation and does the exact opposite of what the other 42 men who have held the past 43 administrations would have done.  If you believe in God, then begin praying NOW for relief from this insanity and if you do NOT believe in God, then maybe you should be finding your faith NOW as it would be a good thing!  Please, join us on this Friday session of the Summer Session 2014!
I found this post compelling because we are living in a time when we have the first non-white president running the show, a great achievement to be sure. However, this president did not come here in the spirt of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to complete the healing of the racial wounds the good doctor sought to close.  No, President Obama has come to power with a nasty chip atop his shoulder, seeking to pound us into some sort of submission so he can make the white people of this country ‘pay’ for the sins of the past.  Life simply does not work this way.
Saturday, July 19, 2014:
The next comment the editorial staff left on the blog’s Facebook Page was the follow-up to one from the day before.  At the time of the posting, the big thing happening in the nation was what we saw happening along the southern border, the inflow of massive amounts of illegal aliens.  This was well before the incident that took place in Ferguson, Missouri, what with the death of Michael Brown on August 09, 2014.  This was well before the black community was at the throats of the police department who was attempting to minimize the tragic death of Michael Brown at the hands of a white police officer.  People were upset by the race issues we already saw happening in the country; we seemed to go from one to another.  Anyhow, this is what the staffer said:
Today, Chef Kilgore discusses the fact that everything happening in the country seemingly appears as all separate stuff and yet, all of it is happening while Barack Obama holds the presidency.  Therefore, the majority of the American people assume that President Obama sets each one of these issues off, one after another, to keep his opponents off balance and undecided as what to do.  Kilgore believes that the time to worry about being called a ‘racist’ no longer matters, if the Dems want to critics of the president ‘racist,’ then go for it, it no longer holds the same negative connotation that it once did.  Please join us today for some titillating talk, difficult questions, and tough assumptions; we do it all here at the AICP-END!
Invasion on the southern border of the USA
The sad thing is that no matter how many times someone in the Obama Administration labels white America as ‘racist,’ we still do our best to step up and assist one another.  What we do not want is to see our immigration laws overturned, especially when the idea is no longer to assimilate them but to allow them to continue living their ways of life and doing so in our faces.  It simply is not right.
What happened to controlling our borders?
This will do it for today; I hope you have had a great day as we always seek different ways to discuss the events of the day.  We elect presidents in this nation with the idea that they will uphold the Constitution and the laws of the United States, the number one job the Founders required of any person who would be president.  It would appear that when Barack Obama entered the White House, he had other agendas on his mind, none of which, seemed to be beneficial to the nation.  I hope we can change that in 2016, how about you—do you hope we change things before we no longer have the ability.
President Obama is not doing what the Founders charge him with doing.

SOMETHING’S ABOUT TO CHANGE
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.

THE PRODIGAL STRANGER CHAPTER II
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blog site.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
ORIGINAL ALBUM SERIES VOLUME II
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms!

To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-374-1430; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own! God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
WE ARE EVER SO CLEAN
I hope you have enjoyed today’s installment, I am excited that I am able to do the new format.  We might do some ‘best of political cartoons’ tomorrow since that is something else we do during the summer time.  You see, I did not come here in the best of health; I had my appendix removed on the 25th of last month.  At my age, 65-years-old—I will be 66 in July of this year—things are not as easy as they are when one is a youngster.  I was working in my restaurant when lo and behold; I had tremendous pain in my right side.  I took some Gas-X pills and vowed to drink no more Scotch during the day but by nightfall, I was crawling around the office and had to call my wife, Lena, to come get me and take me to the doctor.  At the hospital, I found out it was not my frigging liver, just my damned appendix so I said, ‘go ahead and take the damned thing out.’  They did and I am recovering bit by bit, the best thing being I am also giving up smoking and promised Lena I might give up the booze, too, but we shall see.

IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT
The Closing Words of our Founder, Stinkbug:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Procol Harum, Robin Trower, Gary Brooker, Matthew Fisher, James Dewar, Blossom Toes, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace in the world and most likely in the Universe!
Thank you!

  1. Chef JT does something different today; he begins sharing some of the posts the AICP-END editorial staff leaves at Facebook every day on behalf of each blogging-chef when they do their stint. JT also apologizes that he is a bit under the weather, having lost his appendix a week or so before but says he is committed to doing a five-star job throughout the week. “We post extremely notable things at our Facebook Page and that is always a great place to go if you seek enlightenment.” Please join us today at the blog, you will be glad you did—Chef Roland Carl Davis of the AICP-END
