“Political Topics and Essays, Part CDXLIX: could it be that swirling Backroom Politics are going to deny the Presidential Nomination of the Democrat Party to Hillary Clinton-AGAIN?” by Chef Itzi Nakamura

--> --> --> --> --> ---------------------------------
We have two CDs for you today, one by Procol Harum and the second by Robin TrowerProcol Harum’s CD is a ‘new, improved version’ of 2003’s “Ain’t Nothing to get excited about—Licorice John Death” (2005) which everyone agrees is the version to buy.  If you do not know the story, please visit the blog post of Saturday, April 25, 2015 for more information.  As for the Robin Trower CD, it is “Another Day’s Blues” (2005), a live recording featuring his current band of Davey Pattinson (vocals), Dave Bronze (bass), and Pete Thompson (drums).  The band rocks and the remakes of past classics smoke, as they have not in a long, long time.  Please go to Amazon.com and pick up BOTH CDs, as you will be glad you did — nothing is better than great music in the age of Islamic jihad--something the Islamists despise!

SPRING SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,622 AT THE AICP-END
Welcome to the May Day Edition of the AICP-END Blog!
Bakersfield, CA, 05-01-2015 Friday—May Day Edition 2015: Today is May Day here at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, which to the boss, Stinkbug, is a day he celebrates for the communists of the world.  Now, Stinky is not a communist, he is far from it, being a strong conservative when it comes to size of government and economic theory but is somewhat liberal when it comes to social issues.  He likes to point out various holidays such as today’s as this is one the leftwing lunatics, the Marxists-Stalinists-Maoists enjoy celebrating as do labor unions.  We have labor unions in Hawaii but they do not do the sorts of things we hear about on the mainland, beating people up, murdering them, sure, it could happen and occasionally people do disappear, presumably down lava tubes or to the sharks off Kihei.  None of this is common knowledge around here because we do not care to share our dirty laundry but none of it is as dirty as that of the mainland.
When we come to Bakersfield, California, we listen to Jaz McKay
On Tuesday, April 21, 2015, I was sitting in the Stinkbug Chair composing my posts when I heard on the Jaz McKay radio show—a local talk show host who seems more deranged than is the opinionated blowhard, Rush Limbaugh—who was saying that New York Mayor Bill Di Blasio, extreme leftwing cop-hater, might challenge Hillary for the nomination.  Now, I have heard others are toying with the idea of entering the race, something I sort of suspect, too, because there is no way that Hillary is going to survive 19 months of slings and arrows.  This is especially so once the book entitled “Clinton Cash: the Untold Story of how Foreign Governments and Businesses made Bill and Hillary Rich”--by noted conservative author, Peter Schweizer--hits the street.  This book has the power to destroy the Clintons for the last frigging time something I assume would make Barack Hussein Obama extremely happy.  I think the Democrat Party would be wise to consider sending other candidates out there to seek the presidency as if it does not, waits too long, the Republicans will bury us.
It is possible that the Book by Peter Schweizer will destroy Hillary’s Chance at winning the Nomination, much less the White House
Something that concerns me is the idea that the advantages of youth we had back in 2008 have flip flopped to one in which, we now have many possible candidates who downright old.  Granted, age is not supposed to be something that inhibits our view of a candidate but we must face the fact that yes indeed, we do have predispositions when it comes to age and looks.  Who cannot forget the youthful, dark-haired Obama going up against the wizened white-haired former Navy pilot, John McCain?  The difference between the two men was as day and night.  John McCain represented the OLD ways while Barack Obama represented the future, this was the message the Millennials picked up from looking at the two, sort of like when Richard M. Nixon went up against the dashing John F. Kennedy back in the 1960’s.  There was no doubt as to who was going to win the presidential race.
‘Looks matter’
Image is even MORE important now that we are fifteen years into the 21st Century as the Millennials—who spend all of their free time on the Internet—contrast candidates simply on their looks and what they say they are their goals and aims.  I think that if Bill Di Blasio enters the race—something the Clinton team seems to fear as their camp calls the mayor a ‘traitor.’  That is right; they call Di Blasio a ‘traitor’ because the man was her campaign manager when the former first lady ran for the vacant Senate seat in New York.  He was the man who was instrumental in helping her attain the seat but now, this man with the inter-racial family now might enter the race to knock her out of her coronation once again just as the youthful senator from Illinois did seven years ago.  At the time of this writing, I had no word that the mayor of New York City was going to enter the race but that is why we keep our ear to the ground to get advance warning of what might come down the pike.
Look at how easily Barack Obama shoved Hillary aside
The thing we as Democrats must consider doing is should we give the nomination to the ‘next one in line, the one promised the nomination’ or do we attempt to elect the RIGHT person to the job instead?  I like Hillary and will support her if she gets the bid but to tell you the truth, I believe she is not going to be there on the podium of the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia next summer with the nomination in her hand.  It is possible that the Clinton baggage will drag her down prior to the convention but if not, there could be a major drive to usurp the bid from her from the floor or from other unseen forces.  I would love to be there in the city of brotherly love next July just to see the drama unfold before my very eyes.  I guess if I actually involved myself in party politics, I could win such an amazing thing as being a representative of Hawaii but I’m lazy when it comes to outside things, my business requires my constant attention.  However, my heart and soul will attend the event.
It would be fun to participate in next year’s DNC Convention

LICORICE JOHN DEATH
THE FIRST FOUR LEGENDARY ALBUMS
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
THE SINGLES A’S AND B’S
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blog site.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

THE ESSENTIAL COLLECTION ’67-‘91
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms!
LIVING OUT OF TIME
TOO ROLLING STONED LIVE
To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-374-1430; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own! God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
LIVE AT THE UNION CHAPEL
I hope that you will share your thoughts and ideas with me as we in Hawaii seem to exist in our own time and place.  Good luck making Facebook friends with outsiders when one lives in the islands; it is as if we live on another planet.  We watch local news, seldom pay attention to the intrigues of the mainland as to do so brings about a certain longing for being a bit closer than the 2,000 miles that separate us; then again, it is not so bad because we do not have to deal with mainland problems.  It is bad enough we have to go there every now and then because all those wide open spaces freak many of us out in the same way ‘rock fever’ tends to drive some who come here to stay back to whence they came.
‘Rock Fever’ freaks out many Mainland Folks…
You see, that is the one thing we have protecting us here, people tend to freak out when they realize they can circumnavigate around the island of Maui in about eight hours, back to their starting point in one-third of a day.  On the mainland, eight hours gets you to northern California or to Tijuana, Mexico, if you set out, with hundreds of miles to go before you reach another body of water larger than a lake.  Have a great day, aloha and God bless you all, I will see you all tomorrow when we commence again at 07:30 A.M. Pacific Standard Time.  Bye!

ANOTHER DAY’S BLUES
The Closing Words of our Founder, Stinkbug:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Procol Harum, Robin Trower, Gary Brooker, Matthew Fisher, James Dewar, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace in the world and most likely in the Universe!
Thank you!

This is a photo of me back in the 1980's when I was the Executive Chef at a fine-dining restaurant out in Lahaina, HI, on the beautiful island of Maui.  I began my culinary career in the late 1960’s while living on my home island of Oahu and after spending some time in California during the 1990’s, I returned to my native Hawaii and am currently running a gourmet restaurant in Kihei, HI.  My experience has been in fine dining but I have also spent time running a hospital kitchen as both a dietician and as a Cook IV.

  1. Politics in the United States has taken a low road for quite some time at least that is the viewpoint held by Chef Itzi. Today, she investigates rumors reported by Jaz McKay at the time of this writing that perhaps, Hillary might find herself bereft of the nomination—again!—because Democrats using GOP dirty tricks drive her out of the race. There has always been jealously of the Clintons’ success and it is clear that many to the left of Bill and Hill would love to see them exit the race allowing someone else such as Bill Di Blasio, Michael Bloomberg, Antonio Villaraigosa, Jerry Brown, or the beloved ‘footnote in history’ Elizabeth Warren. Who knows, Bernie Senator, Socialist Party senator from Vermont might keep his promise and enter the race, too? The problem is this: we are looking at a flip of what we saw in 2008: age against youth and we know how well that went for ‘age.’ Now, the GOP has all of the youthful, energetic individuals who have the ability of blowing past one of our aged candidates, is this what we want or should the DNC find a more youthful candidate of our own? Who would that be? Please, join us today and share your thoughts and ideas on this topic, we welcome all viewpoints.
