Once again, we have another ‘best of/ collection from the Kinks, 1991’s The Kinks—the Complete Collection.”  It is amazing that for a band seeking a new recording contract that the previous record companies had no problem putting out compilation CDs, one after the other.  However, if you have not yet introduced your ears to the music of the band, this is a great time for you now to do so.  So please, use the convenient link posted up top to redirect you to Amazon.com where you can snap it up in the format, the condition and the price that is correct for both yourselves and your pocketbooks; you will be glad you did.  Please, go there NOW!

WINTER SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #1,536 AT THE AICP-END

“Selma” did not make it because Oprah Winfrey was not ‘truthful’
Bakersfield, CA, 02-04-2015 Wednesday: I am shocked that this year’s Academy Awards ceremonies were short of black faces, that the great historic movie, “Selma,” was not put up for every single award there is from best movie to best actor.  Granted, I understand that that hag, Oprah Winfrey, a woman whiter than white and not so legitimately black, was behind the movie.  I can tell you, when they began vilifying President Lyndon Baines Johnson, I knew the movie was wrong because every black child in America knows that that Texan was the best friend—after Franklin Delano Roosevelt—that anyone on our side of the factor could have.  President Johnson took many risks in forcing America to set aside its racist ways, he stared down all of these cracker governors in Southern states who did not want black children going to school with white kids and Mexicans.  Why Oprah chose to belittle the efforts President Johnson did is beyond me perhaps that is WHY her movie did not receive the acclaim it would have received had she been more honest.
President Lyndon Baines Johnson, Democrat-Texas
As you can tell, I look at Oprah as a rich, wannabe honky ho; she makes money from doing what white Hollywood producers want her to do instead of acting from the heart.  Virtually each of her movies--whether they be “Lee Daniels the Butler” or “The Color Purple”--all have their own flaws.  I would rather the ‘queen’ stay on her daytime talk show circuit and let REAL black people do the hard work of giving her, her civil rights.  Were it not for us, the black folks living the ‘black American experience’ daily, there would be NO Oprah; she is a phony, a hag, a crossover, and a sellout.  I used to watch her show until I saw her for the phony that she was, I have not seen her out there pounding the pavement for the president lately, sure, she gives him some lip service but she is always fearful of losing her upper middle class white women, the ones who made her who and what she is.  Oprah, WHY did you sell us out, dear?
Liberal Icon and ‘Sellout’ Oprah Winfrey
To illustrate further, my husband Earl and I went to see the Season 11 Tour of So You Think You Can Dance in Bakersfield, California, on January 22, 2015 at the Rabobank Arena here in town.  We used to love to go dancing until Earl and I became a little bit too old to handle the dance floor.  We do enjoy watching SYTYCD, however, it is a great show in which, many great dancers compete for the prize of being the best dancer and earning a career for decades to come.  This year, however, as with the Academy Awards, there were very few black artists vying for a prize.  Sure, back in the summer when Season 11 was on, there were several great black dancers who my hubby and I believe did quite well; however, by the time the judges and the fans at home whittled down the number of contestants to the Top Ten, there were NO blacks among them.  At the recent live show at the Rabobank, there were 14 dancers of which, one was black and he was not from the Top 10 but from the Top 14 and unnamed.
So You Think You Can Dance, Season 11
I think one of the reasons WHY blacks in America seem to be going backward is because of all the ongoing attacks on the president.  When the people of a nation watch their leader go through attack after attack after attack and no one comes out and says, “Enough—stop it,” they undergo a brainwashing process of sorts.  Heck, Earl, I, and our kids seem to be numb to some of the things we see happening around here because the constant assault by the rightwing whack job-tea bagging idiots is overpowering.  We need someone who is going to step up and begin defending the president, vigorously in fact, because the civil rights leaders of this country are growing older by the day.  Look at the Reverend Al Sharpton, that poor man has had to carry the load for decades that there is no one who will come to his aid, pick up the protest sign and the megaphone, and hit the streets.  Sure, the ‘hands up-don’t shoot’ folks do the Lord’s work but that movement seems to be dying out as we speak.  Where are the leaders of tomorrow, who is going to pick up their ‘cross’ and take the place of the saints who have led us out of the darkness and into the promised land?
I would love to see Nigel Lythgoe in Person
I want to say, Earl and I did enjoy Season 11 of SYTYCD, it was a great show and the crowd was almost at capacity.  The crowd was wild; they applauded the numbers, the performers, and the show itself.  We heard from Nigel Lythgoe, some of the judges, and from some of the other people behind the scenes on the big screen.  I would recommend anyone who wants some time away from all the racism-taking place in the United States to check out this show when Season 12 begins later this year and be sure to go to the live show when it goes on tour early next year.  We need circuses, things to take our minds off the difficult things we must live with, work with, and never seem able to overcome here in the nation of our birth.  It is the only way in which, we can find peace during these horribly difficult times, my friends, lest we all take to the streets and hoist aloft our crosses…that will do it for today!

We are definitely looking forward to SYTYCD Season 12!

We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

LOST AND FOUND—THE KINKS 1986-1989
I think we will pick up with some of the points Barack Obama made during his SYA such as increasing the minimum wage and some other things of interest.  You know, I have mixed feelings on this since I am a small business owner; increased minimum wage harms our bottom line.  However, I am not opposed to helping my workers increase their standard of living but the federal government needs to step in and give me a hand.  When they talk about providing weeks of paid leave for a variety of reasons, how in heck am I going to find the funds for that, paying health care costs are bankrupting our business as it is?  We will discuss more on this tomorrow, have a great day, take care, and do the right thing—fight against racism and stand up for the folks!

The Closing Words of our Founder, Stinkbug:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by the Kinks, Dave Davies, Ray Davies, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!

This is me back in the 1980’s when I was working at a restaurant in Wasco, CA, my hometown.  I joined the Chefs de Cuisine of Greater Bakersfield, ACF, not long after it was chartered and am still a member even though the chapter is no longer in operation.  I began working in foodservice in the late 1960’s, moved from Wasco, CA, to Monterey, CA, and then returned to my hometown in 2004.  I have been a foodserver, a Mixologist, and am a Certified Cook.  I am equally at home in both the kitchen and behind the bar (and on the floor, too).  My passions are numerous and my favorite is working in the bakery whenever I have had a chance.

  1. Bea O’Malley discusses why Oprah Winfrey’s movie, “Selma,” might not have done as well as what she hoped and the number one reason is because she is a crossover ‘ho’ and did not tell the TRUE story. She spends more time with white folks, doing things with them but every now and then thinks she needs to come out and pal around with the little people in the neighborhood. You know, when you vilify the man who gave the blacks the Voting Rights Act of 1965—Lyndon Baines Johnson—then you are vilifying many of us, the people you want to support you. I think your movie was fine but next time, tell the true story. Oprah did not tell the ‘true’ story in “Lee Daniels—the Butler,” she told the story she wanted to tell hoping it would give her some creds on the street. Look, if you legit, you do not need no damned creds so quit with the lies and except the fact that you nothing more than a coconut. Then, with that off her chest, she discusses the experience she and her husband, Earl, had at the recent SYTYCD Season 11 Tour at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California…do not miss this show!
