“Finally—the Best in Political Cartoons and More Moses’ Comments, Part Thirty-Nine: Moses promotes the Recent Book by Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates as it pertains to some of our Recent Cartoons PLUS More Cartoons” by Moses Scharbug III

--> --> --> ---------------------------
The 56th and final (oops—w e have another week, folks!) offering by British band, King Crimson, is yet another live recording, “Live in Guildford November 13, 1972,” one that came out in 2014 as have the past several offerings.  This recording hails from the EARLY days of the band and although the sound quality might not be up to the standards of the modern-day music listener, the album is still amazing.  This is one that the fans have to buy hoping for the best as we do not have a great deal of information to offer on it other than that it features the band in its earliest days doing the improvisations for which, they are famous.  Please, buy this CD at Amazon.com at the price, the condition, and at the format that is right for you, your ears, and your pocketbook!  Okay, this may NOT be the FINAL DAY of King Crimson music because we might have a few more CDs; however, once we finish with them, we will begin looking at the Kinks! Please note, too, that today, we are promoting the book by former secretary of defense, Robert Gates, as well: “Duty—Memoirs of a Secretary of War,” (2014), a book that has come up on a couple of occasions here at the blog…you will be glad you bought it!

FALL SESSION 2014

BLOGPOST #1,484 AT THE AICP-END

Welcome to the Sunday Edition of the AICP-END!
Bakersfield, CA, 12-14-2014 Sunday: It’s Sunday and we have been in deep discussion since Thursday about how much danger the United States is in and some of the things that might free it of said danger.  We also have discussed how both the U.S. and Ancient Greece share many similarities, most of which, do not bode well for the future of this once-great nation.  However, since I spent the day at a local synagogue yesterday, seeking ways by which, I could urge the American People to awaken, to stop the downhill slide, I think today, we will discuss cartoons and have some fun.  That is how it should be, Sunday should be a day of celebration and that is what we will do today.  Here is our first cartoon:
#PC0016.1w Political Cartoon #433
This cartoon is a pro-Governor Chris Christie cartoon in that it shows him taking responsibility for the actions his subordinates committed over the Bridgegate Scandal.  It compares the governor’s stance behind the podium with President Barack Obama’s FAILURE to terminate his underlings who were responsible for a wide range of scandals, mistakes, and blatant disregard for the Constitution of the United States.  The things the artist depicts are the following scandals of 2013: (1) the collapse of Healthcare.gov federal website; (2) the Benghazi Scandal; (3) the IRS Scandal; (4) the NSA spying on Americans scandal; and (5) (among others) the shutdown of the Federal government because of the president’s unwillingness to meet the Republicans halfway on anything.

#PC0016.1x Political Cartoon #434
This cartoon from Monday, January 13, 2014 shows California’s governor, the esteemed Jerry Brown rowing his ship of state through the growing drought that some say Climate Change has caused.  At one time, California was a great state, the first in everything and second to none.  Now, however, thanks to the long-term, liberal policies coming out of Sacramento, the state is a devastated wasteland, full of illegal aliens, sanctuary cities, and no hope for the future unless, of course, one is a border-jumping illegal.  We need to return to the days of the great Republican governors, maybe we could reignite some dormant life in the dead husk of the Golden State…anything would be better than this!
#PC0016.1y Political Cartoon #435
Earlier in the week, we had a cartoon that showed how “Duty,” the book written by former secretary of defense, Bob Gates, hammered the Obama Administration.  The criticism of Mr. Gates is that he ‘should have waited to pen his book until after the president and his administration were out of office.’  However, when a high government official (and it gets no higher than secretary of defense) sees things that bode ill for the nation, then that individual to step up to the microphone and to speak out, alerting the nation as to the dangers that lie ahead.  We urge everyone to seek out this book at Amazon.com and to buy it NOW by using the link we have provided you up top!
#PC0016.1z Political Cartoon #436
The next cartoon comes from the Wednesday, January 15, 2014 edition of the Bakersfield Californian newspaper and is yet another look at Governor Chris Christie and the Bridgegate Scandal of New Jersey from late last year.  This view comes from Chicago where a person who lives there minimizes the situation by calling it ‘politics.’  We know that in the Windy City they play hardball politics and what Christie did or did not do is nothing that does not happen in many Democrat-controlled cities.  We have no idea as to whether or not Governor Christie actually ordered the restricted access to the George Washington Bridge that connects New Jersey to New York City but if so, it is what it is.  Get over it, quit crying, this crap happens daily.

#PC0017.1a Political Cartoon #437
The final cartoon for the day comes from the Thursday, January 16, 2014 edition of the aforementioned newspaper and it features a hacker with a shopping cart full of all the people whose identities he plans to steal.  I think that over the past six-plus years (the same time the present administration has ruled the land), we have seen an explosion of computer-related hacker crimes.  We must find some sort of way to prevent these scumbags from victimizing the American People, even if it means imposing a sentence of death for all convicted of the crime.

ROAD TO RED
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.

We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
ELEMENTS OF KING CRIMSON
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms!

Stinkbug’s Closing Words:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by King Crimson and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!

1 comment:

  1. The Sunday edition of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day contents itself with the presentation of political cartoons and the commentary of Moses Scharbug attached. Life has been pretty damned difficult as of late so sometimes, the wit of humor has a way of lightening the mood. We have seen many horrible things happen over the past year that it gives us joy to laugh at the things at which, we can laugh. No sooner did we get past Ferguson, Missouri, then we saw similar public disturbances arise as people became angry over the decision of the New York City Grand Jury’s inquest into the death of a cigarette salesman on the streets of the nation’s largest city. At some point, Americans of all colors and all stripes must find a unifying factor by which, we can ALL come together and find answers to mutual questions. While we believe what happened in Ferguson, Missouri, was a legitimate action by a police officer under assault, what happened in New York City might not be; it resembles similar actions that have taken place here in Bakersfield, California. When someone is down on the ground and in no position to fight back, what does it take to throw a net over them, entangling them, so the police can load them when their struggles end? We will begin looking at some of these things as the week progresses and I hope we can find answers with which, to bring peace to the streets of America. We sincerely hope that the family of murdered Eric Garner can find peace but burning down the city or interrupting holiday shopping is not the way. We need a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. now more than ever and all we have is a flyblown Al Sharpton—God help us!
