The 49th addition to the King Crimson catalog is entitled, “The Collectible King Crimson, Vol. 4- Live at Roma, Warsaw, Poland 2000” (2010) and is yet another worthy offering from the band’s stellar live catalog.  We love King Crimson and know that you will, too, so by all means, look into buying this one at features nearly TWO solid hours of music throughout the band’s ongoing career.  Some things one can do without such as the latest release by Maroon Five whereas music that comes from the Court of the Crimson King is music that one MUST add to his or her collection; buy this CD at Amazon.com at the price, the condition, and at the format that is right for you, your ears, and your pocketbook!  Okay, one final week of King Crimson music (unless we come up with yet more material) and then we begin looking at the Kinks!

FALL SESSION 2014

BLOGPOST #1,477 AT THE AICP-END

PEARL HARBOR DAY—NEVER FORGET!
We did not ask to participate in World War II; it came to US!
Bakersfield, CA, 12-07-2014 Sunday: The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor shocked the nation, emboldened our Axis enemies, and in some dark way, pleased our closest ally, Great Britain, because they knew we would enter the war, something for which, they had hoped since the Nazis overran mainland Europe. The Germans drove the remnants of the British Expeditionary Force, French, Belgian, and whatever other European troops managed to escape encirclement and to capture out through Dunkirk and to the British mainland and not long after doing so, the Battle of Britain began.  The Nazis knew that to launch Operation Sea Lion—the invasion of the British Isles, they would have to pulverize the Royal Air Force (RAF) into submission while U-boats out in the Atlantic would starve the people of Britain into surrender. During these dark days, the bombs fell on British cities while fighter aircraft battled in the air, attempting to down the Luftwaffe bombers.  Meanwhile, cargo ships crossing the Atlantic to reach Britain went down in horrendous numbers as the German wolf packs torpedoed ships at will.
For almost Two Years, England stood alone, under Constant Attack
Many Americans entered the war before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, they went to Canada and trained in their air force and then deployed to Britain to help stem the tide against the German aircraft.  Across the British Empire, they suffered numerous setbacks as they tried to protect the Suez Canal from the Italian troops attempting to drive them off the continent.  All during this time, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill begged President Roosevelt to supply them with the tools of war and food if they would not enter the war to aid them, their greatest ally.  Roosevelt could not do so because the nation was still in an isolationist mentality following its involvement in the First World War.  However, once the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, the anger of America ignited and the Congress of the United States approved the president’s declaration of war soon after.
The Japanese quickly overran almost all of Southeast Asia, the Pacific, and even conducted aerial raids against Australia

Unfortunately, the Japanese overran Southeast Asia and the Pacific much more quickly than the Allies thought, driving American, and British, French, and Dutch forces before it.  The Philippines fell to the invaders, as did Wake Island, Guam, French Indochina, Burma, Malaya and Singapore, and the Dutch East IndiesJapanese troops fought to the outskirts of India and began bombarding Port Darwin on Australia’s northern coast in preparation for a landing to take the Aussies out of the war.  The world was in a conflagration that did not seem stoppable until several things happened.  The United States was able to halt Japanese expansionism at Guadalcanal and from that point forward, to put them on the defensive.  This is not to say that the war would not see some surge back and forth because it did.  The other two main Axis collaborators—Germany and Italy—in a major act of hubris and chutzpah declared war on the United States, something that inevitably opened them up for the kill stroke.  However, that would take another 2.75 years to engineer and over the course of time, millions would die.
The European Axis Partners made a Grave Mistake when they declared War against the United States

The fact that the Germans and the Italians and their lesser allies—Finland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, the Spanish Blue Division, Croatia, and other minute bits and pieces of Europe as well as many turncoats who would join Nazi SS units—paved the way for a concerted effort to take them out one by one.  First, the Allies would stop the Axis drive in North Africa, and then they would jump across the Mediterranean Sea to Sicily and then the Italian mainland.  From there, they would drive north while a second front opened in France on D-Day in June of 1944.  On the Eastern Front, since the debacle at Stalingrad and then in the aftermath of the greatest armored battle the world had ever seen—the Battle of Kursk—the Axis in Europe would also be in permanent retreat.  It would appear that the dictators had bitten off more than they could chew when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and the others jumped in and declared war on the United States, too.
The Invasion of the Japanese Home Islands would have claimed astronomical casualties on BOTH sides…
The war in Europe would grind to an end in May of 1945, although millions more would die in bringing about its end.  The Japanese would fight on until August of that year when two atomic bombs would cause the emperor, Hirohito, to surrender all units to the Allies.  Something worth noting is that the Allies did not use atomic weapons against Japan out of racism; no, that simply is not true, the Germans had no choice but to surrender and did so, beaten to a pulp.  The Japanese on the other hand were committed to fight to the last man, woman, and child.  By this time, the Allies were exhausted, manpower was stretched to its limits, and military authorities estimated that the invasion of Japan would claim another 1,000,000-to-1,500,000 casualties, dead and wounded.  The world was tired of war, they did not want to continue but they could not beat the Nazis and the Italian Fascists and allow the Empire of Japan to escape, especially when their brutality had reached frightening levels.  The war had to end and so it did, even though it took TWO atomic bombs to bring it about but bring it about it did.
We brought the War to as swift a Conclusion as we could…

As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
EPITAPH VOLUMES 1-4
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

THE COLLECTIBLE KING CRIMSON, VOL. 3- LIVE AT SHEPHERD’S BUSH EMPIRE, LONDON 1996
I realize as an educator that many young people lack the knowledge or understanding of what the Second World War was truly about because professors nowadays fill their minds with all sorts of cause and effect, socialist historic rabble-rousing bull crap.  They break things down into skin colors, ethnicities, and attempt to make the United States appear as some sort of evil superpower that dropped nukes on the Japanese, a non-white people simply because we wanted to do so.  That is simply not the truth, when one considers the costs of the war, the loss of human life on sides, the war fatigue that had set in, and the lack of food, resources, manpower, and capability, there was no other way than to force the Japanese into submission.  Heck, we had firebombed all of their cities back into the Stone Age and STILL they would not throw in the towel, should we have cost 1-1.5 million more American, British, French, Dutch, Russian, and Chinese lives to end the war?  No, the Japanese got off easy if you want to consider that fact, they could have seen 50-percent of their population or more destroyed in the invasion of Japan so what America did to end the war was the right way to go.  Please, do yourselves a favor and search for the Time-Life history of World War II, you will have to find used copies of the 30-plus volume set but it is important to understand the history of what transpired in the last century if you wish to have a better understanding of it.  I will see you all tomorrow, have a great day, God bless and farewell for now.

  1. Moses Scharbug III finishes his discussion on what took place during World War II and how the atomic bombs the United States dropped on Japan saved more lives on all sides than it claimed. He realizes that nowadays, modern historians with a leftist viewpoint wish to make it seem as though what we did was yet another racist attack on a non-white people, which is little more than a load of crap. Allied military authorities estimated the attack would have cost 1-1.5 million Allied dead and wounded with Japanese casualties being at least 4-5 times higher than that based on the frenzy with which, they defended Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Add to that the war fatigue, the loss of millions of men, women, and children the conflict had already claimed and it was simple, the war had to end and it did end. It is important that everyone find the truth about the wars in which, the United States participated, this nation has set more people free than any other nation and given more provisions and supplies to both friends and enemies than any other nation the world has ever seen. We are not a racist, bigoted nation, sure, there are always individuals who serve as embarrassments but as a whole, we have done more for the people of the world than anyone else has. What’s more, we did not want to fight World War II, it came to us because we told the Japanese we would discontinue sending them oil with which, to wage a decade-long war in China. Instead of stopping the fighting, they attacked us and so, we drove them back to their homeland and then following the end of the war, we rebuilt it. Please, I urge you to seek the truth and not to allow scumbags such as various leftwing professors who wish to make this nation look ‘criminal.’ We do not deserve this nor should we settle for it, it is time to set the record straight on this 73rd anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The rest is—as they say—is history, seek it for yourself and let no one dissuade you from doing so. Thanks for joining us today!
