“Political Topics and Essays, Part Two-Hundred-and-Ninety-One: Chef Gervais discusses the other Elective Positions on the California State Ballot, how we must deny the Democrats every Seat we can and finally, the Ill-Effects of the Affordable Care Act—it’s a BIG Day!” by Chef Gervais Krinkelmeier

The eleventh effort by the British band, King Crimson, “Discipline,” came out in 1981 and found the band—after a few changes of name along the way as well as personnel—back and ready to rock as King Crimson once more.  The new album, “Discipline,” featured Bob Fripp (guitars, vocals, keyboards), Bill Bruford (percussion), Adrian Belew (guitars, vocals, keyboards), and Tony Levin (bass, vocals, guitars).  The new album sounded like the times, more on the punk side than the overpowering yet heady, psychedelic-power trio form into which, the band had previously fallen.  It is a great CD, one we know you will want to buy so please, go to Amazon.com and to buy it there in the format, the condition, and at the price right for you!

FALL SESSION 2014

BLOGPOST #1,439 AT THE AICP-END
HUMP DAY!
Bakersfield, CA, 10-30-2014 Thursday: It’s Hump Day and that is always good as it means we are atop the pinnacle and then after today, it’s all downhill from here.  We have been discussing California politics and all the tricky stuff that seems to go on within our strange system.  The next two races in our statewide ballot are that of the Insurance Commissioner and our member to the State Board of Equalization, something we sort of blew past yesterday.  The Insurance Commissioner is an important job here in the state as now with the Affordable Care Act, there is a lot of controversy over whom we should elect as this single individual can raise, lower, or keep as they are the cost of insurance for all Californians.  Currently, Dave Jones has the job, a Democrat, and a man whom many fear because like many Democrats, he favors raising the cost of everything more than lowering it.  The leftists believe that if people are just getting by in life—or if they need help from their state or local government (and maybe even the Federal government), the less inclined they are to go out and cause problems.
Millions of Insurance Policies will Disappear AFTER the Election
I think EVERYONE with a functioning brain knows that the cost of Obamacare is going to go up and that AFTER the election, millions more Americans are going to see their “corrupt or subpar policies” (according to Obama) vanish into thin air.  Virtually everyone who is an employer—such as myself—knows that the cost of providing healthcare coverage to his or her employees is going to be punitive at best and crippling at worst.  I for one am going to do my best to continue providing healthcare coverage to my employees but at some point, I will no longer be able to do so thanks to the Obama Administration.  Therefore, having a sympathetic Insurance Commissioner is a good thing and yet, as we all know, the Democrats do one another’s bidding if they want to have the necessary support in order to move up the food chain.  This is WHY many of us are sending money to Dave Jones’ opponent, Republican independent insurance agent, Ted Gaines; in the hope, that maybe we can postpone or avoid the massive increase in the costs of providing insurance to the help.
The State Board of Equalization is an IMPORTANT Office
The other race is for membership on the State Board of Equalization, one that has ramifications for all of us should we keep Democrats in the position as opposed to electing Libertarians or a Republicans to the post.  The State Board of Equalization oversees the collection of sales taxes, fees, and assorted other taxes imposed on everything ranging from the cost of fuel to that of energy used in one’s home or business.  If you have any knowledge of what it costs to live here in California, it costs a great deal and only the very wealthy and the very poor can afford to live here.  The middle class such as me finds itself struggling to keep its head above the roiling waters, something none of us ever thought we would have to fight to do.  At one time, coming to California was like coming to the Promised Land, there was gold on the ground, the freedom, and the ability to do something with it.  Now, however, burdensome government and overwhelming taxation has destroyed us, our initiative, and the freedom of the people.  We need to elect NON- Democrats to all of these posts.
…So is that of the Insurance Commissioner…
Finally, the other elective offices open for the people’s votes are judgeships across the state.  Almost none of us know who these people are but in a state overwhelmingly controlled by Democrats, it seems that we would be much better off if we had FEWER Democrats running things.  I do not want to get off on the topic of Obamacare but this ONE bill is going to cost the American People BILLIONS—IF NOT TRILLIONS—of dollars and we will live to regret it while Barack Obama continues to live like the king he thinks himself to be.  We need to find a way to alleviate the burdens emplaced upon not only the citizens of California but those of the nation and the only way to do that is to clobber the Democrats on November 04 and again in 2016.  We also need to return to the OLD-STYLE BALLOTS in which, all registered political parties have a right to participate.
Like it or not, I have to vote for Local Republicans…
We now find ourselves at the races that affect those of us who live in Kern County more than the BIG offices at the top of the ticket.  Like it or not, as a Libertarian, I have to vote for people that perhaps I would not if we had a stronger presence here in central California.  Like for instance, I will vote for Congressman Kevin McCarthy because the alternative— Democrat Raul Garcia—is horrible.  We will also vote for State Senator Jean Fuller, Republican, and Assemblywoman Shannon Grove.  The judges, well, I will vote NO on every single one of them because YOU know they are ALL Democrats.  Okay, that will do it for today!
…because there are NO Libertarian Candidates thanks to the Dems…

LARKS’ TONGUES IN ASPIC
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession—join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
STARLESS AND BIBLE BLACK
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

A YOUNG PERSON’S GUIDE TO KING CRIMSON
I want to thank you all for sharing your HUMP DAY Thursday with me; we try to cover topics that the readership and the world find to be interesting.  We certainly would love to see the music we advertise experience a rebirth or maybe even find an introduction whether in some shit hole such as Iran, North Korea, or the Sudan.  We recognize that there are forces in the world who would deny the enslaved peoples of the world the right to hear music they find liberating and it is our goal to share this music with everyone.  We could promote music by any of the chicks that go by one name or any of the young males that have spiky hair and who think they are God’s gifts to women but we do not, we share the BEST rock music from the BEST era of music.  the few who have managed to continue performing their craft into the future more than half-a-decade since their inception.  We had some great acts at the Kern County Fair this past September and anyone who doubts that Bakersfield and Kern County are NOT happening places needs to change their minds.  We are looking forward to the concerts coming in the New Year and hope that all of you who have a chance to visit our esteemed county do so in the upcoming months.  Have a great day, I will see you all tomorrow, be sure to leave comments (even Iranians) and be sure to buy some of the fine music we advertise, you will be so glad you did!

Stinkbug’s Closing Words:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by King Crimson, Crawler, Robert Plant, Bad Company, the Yardbirds, Free, and Ian Hunter, Paul Kossoff, Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!
Thanks, my friends!

  1. Today, on Hump Day Thursday, Chef Gervais discusses the fact that once the election is over next week, thanks to Obamacare, millions more Americans will watch their insurance policies vanish before their eyes while the people employing them continue to be crushed by the costs of providing coverage to the remnants. We need to find a way by which, we can mitigate the looming disaster and the only way to do that is (1) to hold our noses and to vote Republican and then (2) fight President Obama on his upcoming amnesty. Adding millions more illegal, non-English-speaking peoples to the country is going to compound the misery of the remaining Americans and that is not something we have to accept. The fact that the president must resort to using an executive order to legalize millions of illegal aliens means that the support for such an abominable act simply does not exist and that the American People will punish all Democrats. We vote NEXT week on Tuesday, November 04, LET YOUR DISPLEASURE BE KNOWN BY VOTING OUT EVERY DEMOCRAT. SEND A MESSAGE TO BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA AND EVERY DEMOCRAT THAT WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS!
