“Political Topics and Essays, Part Two-Hundred-and-Nineteen: NO Politics today as Chef Hector remembers Robin Williams with all the Love the Man deserved and with Hope that Others do not find themselves trapped in Similar Circumstances—we need to help ALL who suffer from Depression and Mental Illness” by Chef Hector Santanamos

--> --> --> ------------------
The first CD is the fifth solo CD by vocalist Robert Plant, a damned fine CD in which, the vocalist continues growing as a solo artist and demonstrates that he was one of four strong foundational blocks of Led Zeppelin.  The name of the CD is “Manic Nirvana,” and it came out in 1990, one that every fan of the man and of his new band should want to own and to enjoy.  Trust us here at the AICP-END, you people will love it so go to Amazon.com and pick it up now!  The next CD for today is the eleventh release by BAD COMPANY, entitled “Here comes Trouble,” (1992) and the last of their studio albums with Brian Howe and the last to chart with a hit single, “How ‘Bout that?”  After this CD, the band would continue touring until rejoining forces with Paul Rodgers later.

SUMMER SESSION 2014

BLOGPOST #1,367 AT THE AICP-END

God Bless You, Robin Williams, you deserved better!
Bakersfield, CA, 08-19-2014 Tuesday: Last week, Monday, to be exact, word came out that Robin Williams had died at his home in Tiburon, California, a very tragic event to be sure.  At the time, news commentators were discussing the probability that the man committed suicide due to malingering depression and if that was so, I wanted to say how said I felt.  Suffering from depression is a horrible thing and thankfully, we have many medications that seem to be able to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from this horrendous disease.  I know as a young man, I underwent a time of deep depression that I exacerbated by using drugs, alcohol, and loose women.  It is a horrible thing, one that many people lack the ability to overcome, many times people do not know they are sufferers, they push through each moment of their lives when in fact, there are many people out there who can provide help, through being there, through counseling, and through the use of specific medications right for the afflicted.
Depression is a Dreadful Thing!
Now, I became a chef at an early age and back in the day, one had to fight like hell to keep one’s spot as the older cooks and chefs always gunned for the young bucks.  For one thing, they did not want someone from the younger generation stealing their positions so they did everything in their power to thwart the upward movement of us young gun chefs.  Looking back on what I did and knowing what I know now, I realize no one ever had truly to worry about one of the younger, up-and-coming bucks moving me out of my place no more than an older cook had to worry about me moving him or her out of theirs.  I think if we could have come together and found common ground, we would have been able to set many of our differences aside but sadly, no one is aware of this line of reasoning when they are still in their teens.
No One should ever have the Ability to hold our Soul Hostage
I know that when I was a young man, I had some relationship concerns that about drove me to the brink of suicide; I was not a good loser, always a bad one, in fact.  When a woman whom I really loved and thought loved me dumped me as a sack of potatoes, I about cried myself to the brink of a drug-and-alcohol-fueled overdose and a way out of this cruel world.  However, later, when I knew more than what I knew then, I said to myself, “NO puta is worth killing oneself over, let the ho kill herself over me.”  Once I came to that plateau of brain functioning, I was able to be like Bradley Cooper in the movie, “Limitless,” and to observe the world functioning around me and how I could make it work to my needs at the time.  In so doing, I climbed back aboard the spinning merry-go-round of life and never looked back, thank God; I did not go down the road I once contemplated!
I have been in a Similar Situation as a Young Man, thanks to the WRONG Woman
I understand that Mr. Williams suffered from addiction and had been clean for 20 years.  Whatever pushed him over the edge may never be known but it is clear his family, friends, and lifelong fans will miss the man forever.  A talent such as his comes along but once in a lifetime and it is so sad that someone was not able to reach out, help him latch on, and then pull him to emotional safety.  No one should ever consider having to end their life unless it is so physically painful, that every single day is a living agony, and that cancer or some such other malignancy awaits outside one’s door.  We have a duty to those living around us who love us and want to see us do well, we have a sacred duty to God Almighty, someone I know many lack the faith in which, to believe in today’s world.  It just goes to show that no amount of money, of success, is enough to keep someone on this Earth when they do not see what others see about them.  I hope I never find myself at a similar crossroads in life but if I do, I hope that I am able to fight the good fight, if not for me but for my family.  NO other person should ever hold something about us as did that puta of mine long ago; we need to be the gatekeeper of our own happiness, NO one else.
God Bless you and Godspeed Mr. Williams!
I hope you did not mind my taking a different path today but I am quite sad that Robin Williams has left us in a lurch.  Granted, it is not his fault, it is ours for giving him the conditional love with which, we did as fans.  We gave it to him and then when he could no longer benefit from it, he sought release from the pains of this life leaving us standing in the middle of the road, contemplating the future.  God rest your soul, amigo, I hope that your pain and agony has left your soul unblemished and that you now walk along with the angels.  God bless you and Godspeed on your journey, Mr. Williams, I will remember you with fondness forever!
Loss of Life trumps Politics any Day of the Week!

As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
THE COLLECTION: THE BEST OF IAN HUNTER AND MOTT THE HOOPLE
YUI ORTA
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
WALKING WITH A MOUNTAIN
SHADES OF IAN HUNTER
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms!

God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
DANGEROUS AGE
HOLY WATER
I am sorry if my crass commercialism seems to be at odds with our subject today but I must urge you to please, buy the merchandise that we advertise, as that is what keeps our blog up-and-running.  You see, every single CD you buy (or DVD, if that’s the case), helps us keep the lights on at the corporate offices as well as helps us buy the CDs we promote ourselves.  All of the music connected to the present number of bands we currently offer the readership are amazing, great music, do yourselves a favor and educate your ears.  Music is the window that allows the Lord to look into our souls, sure, some stuff like Black Sabbath does not do that but all of these other bands do so please, buy these CDs, do yourselves a favor, your ears and your hearts and souls will be so glad you did!  God bless and we will continue our discussion tomorrow, as soon as you are ready, willing and able at 12:01 a.m.!

Stinkbug’s Closing Words:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by the Firm, Bad Company, Robert Plant, British Lions, Jimmy Page and Roy Harper, Led Zeppelin, Crawler, Widowmaker, and Mott. What’s more, we also recommend buying CDs by Andy Fraser, Ian Hunter, Mott the Hoople, and Backstreet Crawler, Free, the Yardbirds, Paul Kossoff, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!
Muchas gracias, buen amigos!

This is a shot of me taken when I was a young cook back in the early 1960's. I served underneath a Master Chef for many years before striking out on my own. I went up the coast of the Western United States and Canada, working all the way, until I made it to Alaska. From there, I moved to Hawaii for a couple of years (1994-1997) before I returned to Washington State and it was there that I met Stinkbug.
