“Political Topics and Essays, Part One Hundred-and-Ninety: Chef Tiresias discusses the Ongoing Changes here at the AICP-END, then touches on the shoot-down of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 out of the Netherlands and over the Ukraine—how safe are Travelers?” by Chef Tiresias Helenus Grinikeodopuloposlus

Our first CD for today is the first solo album by former Free bassist, Andy Fraser with his new band.  The album is entitled “The Andy Fraser Band” and it came out in 1975.  It displays the amazing talents of this brilliant bass-player who played his instrument like a lead guitar.  The songs are great, the vocals good, this is a CD everyone needs to own.  If you have ever heard the live album by Free, you know his abilities, especially on the song, “Mr. Big,” his solo goes on for several minutes and are absolutely amazing so please go to Amazon.com and grab this CD now!  The second CD for today is the first release by the British rock group, Mott, the reformation of Mott the Hoople.  The band features Overend Watts on bass and vocals, Buffin (drums/percussion), Morgan Fisher (keyboards/vocals) Blue Weaver (keyboards) and a new lead guitarist (Nigel Benjamin) and lead vocalist (Ray Major).  Their first CD is entitled, “Drive On” and which came out in 1975 and was a pretty good album, one everyone should want to buy.  We saw them in concert back in the day and they did a hell of a job without Ian Hunter, which means this is one that is too good to pass up!  Buy both CDs by going to Amazon.com, perusing the prices until you find the one right for you and then buy it!

SUMMER SESSION 2014

BLOGPOST #1,338 AT THE AICP-END
Welcome to the AICP-END, the Resurrected from the Dead Culinary Blog!
Bakersfield, CA, 07-21-2014 Monday: Welcome and hello, it is good to be back at the blog and I am always to take questions from anyone who would like to submit them.  For the first time, ALL authors are including their email addresses so you can contact them directly, you know, hold a conversation, which makes our blogs so much more personal.  You see, we generally come to Bakersfield, California, the hometown of the blog, which actually is across the sad-looking, bone-dry Kern River-bed in the suburb of Oildale.  We have our corporate offices out there for a variety of reasons but the main one is that property prices are cheap and we can have as many guard dogs as we want patrolling the perimeter.  The entire area is undergoing a mass crime wave as more and more illegals flow north into the central valley region of the state from the nation’s southern borders.
Why we did what we did when it came to attributing Posts to just ONE Author—we did not do it to confuse the Readership but to protect individuals and their Families
What we used to do is to submit our posts directly to Moses Scharbug who would give us the credit, obviously, for writing the posts but everything was always published under the name, “Stinkbug,’ as we wanted to keep our identities as confidential as possible should some nut want to kill us or our families.  Now, however, we will submit our posts ourselves, the groundwork, so-to-speak, which Moses or Roland (Carl Davis) will then insert all the various images.  We decided we would do this since the Google Blogger Robots shut us down a week or so ago on a “TOS” violation aka a “terms of service.”  We did our best to figure out what—exactly—it was that we did but could not determine the problem nor would they enlighten us.  We figured that maybe since we use a large number of photos off the Internet without seeking permission or others we have available to us locally or from whence we hail, that maybe we should curtail the practice.  However, that’s sad as we do not mean to disparage anyone nor do we mean not to give credit, I thought everyone knew this is our policy other than with Beverly Carrick images or from our test kitchens where we cook all the foods we promote here at the blog.
Thank YOU, Google Blogger, for giving us a Second Lease on Life!
The thing that upset us was the fact that we thought Google Blogger liked our blog and so we worked hard on making it the best we could over the past 4.5 years.  Unfortunately, if your blog can suddenly disappear—and without anyone informing us as to WHY?—why create with a blogging program one does not own?  We could have put in five or ten years and then due to a purported TOS violation that a human being did not flag us on but a fricking machine, well, who in their right mind would want to create with a publicly-owned blogging program if all their work can disappear overnight?  Yikes!  That was the consensus of most of us who give our time here at the AICP-END
We own the Rights to ALL Beverly Carrick Original Images!
Anyhow, we are going to build a Website, most likely with Go Daddy or one of the other Website builders as we must say, Websites have become so much more cost-effective nowadays unlike 10-20 years ago.  The Website upon which, we base the Beverly Carrick portion of the blog—beverlycarrick.com—was created about 20 years ago, if not longer, and to do anything other than listing a painting or uploading new images/new information requires someone at the Web company to do the work—that sucks.  We want a fully user-friendly Website that allows us to showcase a blogging program that we will host ourselves, as we do not want anyone to have that sort of control over us ever again.  We hope to have the new site up sometime in early 2015 as we are in the working stages of it right now.  Stay tuned for exciting information to come!
Malaysian Airlines is suffering some Horrendous Luck this Year—what’s up with that.
I am shocked over what happened last week on Thursday when the Russian government or the separatists/terrorists in the Ukraine shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 in the eastern part of that country.  The death toll was high, 298 people was killed and we know that the separatists/terrorists did this because they bragged about it on their Facebook page before yanking it down and going silent.  The event is a horrific event that shocks the people of the world, as it is reminiscent of the shoot-down of Korean Airlines KAL Flight 007 on September 01, 1983 after it ignored calls from Soviet air controllers as it strayed into Russian airspace.  However, everything changes once one looks at the way then-President Ronald Reagan dealt with that barbarous attack and last Thursday’s comments by President Barack Obama.  Everyone should compare the two and then understand WHY it shocks those of us who believe in a strong America and a friendly world.
The Difference between Presidents Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama

To conclude today’s post; I would like to say Malaysia Airlines has had a rough year what with the loss of Flight 370 back in March and now this calamity.  The Koreans had a difficult time back in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s as KAL Flight 007 was not the only one assaulted by the Russians.  During Jimmy Carter’s time in office, the Soviets forced KAL Flight 902 down on April 20, 1978, by damaging it with machine gun or cannon fire after they suspected it of being an American spy plane.  This earlier attack killed just two people on the airline’s total manifest of 109 passengers and crew, which is small consolation to those killed.  At least the entire plane was not blasted out of the sky, as was the one in 1983 and the one last week.  Flying commercially around the world is not so safe anymore, at least we don’t have hundreds of Islamists hijacking airliners and going on round-the-world crime sprees as we did during the period of the 1970’s-1980’s.  We will continue our discussion tomorrow.
Korean Airlines had some Bad Luck, too, in the Past

As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END.  Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us. We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669.  We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun! Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.

We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

STRAIGHT SHOOTER
We are doing our best to write shorter blogs and to present much more information than we have in the past.  As you will see in my contact information, there is an email address by which, YOU can email me, the Greek Chef, anytime you want and I will reply if and when I can.  Do not send me any X-rated photos as our policy is NOT to open any attachments, as there are so many questionable folks who want to worm their ways into the company or home-based computers.  Have a great day, thank you for being here, and I look forward to seeing you here tomorrow, bright and early, at 12:01 a.m.! Until then, have a great and productive day!

Stinkbug’s Closing:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower. What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Mott, Andy Fraser, Ian Hunter, Bad Company, Mott the Hoople, Led Zeppelin, Free, the Yardbirds, Paul Kossoff, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here! In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!
Thank you!
